Predictions about a new girl group in Korea:
  • They'll debut in mid-2023, likely 2Q because Twice debuted late 2015 and ITZY debuted early 2019, therefore mid-2023 seems plausible.
  • Members born between 2003 - 2007.
  • Haewon, Shinyoung & Jinsol will debut out of the current trainees. The rest will all be new trainees.
  • They'll have 6 or 7 members.

It was announced that JYP will debut a BOY BAND in 2021. This is in preparation for some DAY6 members enlistment. Probably JYP will debut his next SK BG and GG by 2022. Since NIZI will debut this Nov 2020, JYP may form a VOCAL GG or GIRL BAND. The VOCAL GG is JYP's Mamamoo. Possible members are Lily M, Haewon and other VOCALLY-Talented trainees. This group maybe a STAND ALONE group or a SUB-UNIT that ultimately join the JYPNGG that will debut by 2022.

NIZI will debut first in Japan then for sure a SK debut/promo is planned. This group is intended to be the direct competition to SM, YG and BH who are gearing up in debuting their own GG trying to take the NGG title from Twice. Perfect timing because IZONE will disband by April 2021. The FANDOM that will be left behind is UP FOR GRABS. I just hope it will NIZI who will takeover IZONE's fandom

I don't think a vocal group is going to happen. They'll debut Nizi in 2020, the Chinese boy group in 2021 since that's when Yaochen leaves R1SE, a new boy group in 2022 and then a girl group in 2023. A new band could debut in 2021 as well, or it could be held off until they've debuted the other new groups first. I honestly think Lily M will leave within the next year. She's nearing 20 and the newly scouted trainees are all 12-year-olds. Reminds me of Jinny Park. She was in YG before Blackpink debuted, didn't debut and then decided to leave because she didn't see herself debuting since all the new trainees were a lot younger than her and she was 20 at the time. I think Haewon will debut because she's fairly new and she's quite popular and I can see her being the oldest member, with the remaining being born between 2004 - 2007

The BoyGroup is set to debut in 2021.
Most of the female trainees are between the ages of 2002-2005. So IF they would even debut in 2023, the 03 line including Lily M would find other companies to debut with

A reminder that these "reports/articles/analysis" are not set in stone, and should be taken with a grain of salt. When re-reading these reports compared to what we know now, they seem to be more of JYPE's plan of work for the near future & not necessarily what is to be expected for that year. Of course, there sometime delays to projects as well. What I'm trying to say is that not everything on the report will happen nor entirely accurate, but it could give insight of JYPE's possible near-future plans. Let me know if I need to be corrected on the reports, etc.

2018
Example A: Reported by Hana Financial Investment, JYPE plans to air Sixteen 2 & debut new girl group

'A' RESULT:
  • No airing of a Sixteen 2 or debut of new girl group
  • On June 21 of 2018, JYP reveal there are preparations underway to debut a Japanese Girl Group at Sparklab Demoday. No profound details/plans discussed.

Example B: Once again, Hana Financial Investment reports debut dates of new JYPE groups.

'B' RESULT:
  • "Korean Girl Group in 2018" - FALSE. Fan speculated the delay was due to an unexpected departure of a shoe-in member.
  • "BOY STORY (Chinese) in 2018" - TRUE, Boy Story officially debuted in September 2018.
  • "Chinese Boy Group in 2019" - FALSE, however Yao Chen did debut in R1SE. It's a possibility that had not Yao Chen been chosen, JYPE would've released a new Chinese Boy Group.
  • "Japanese Girl Group in 2019" - Technically TRUE, though there were no official debut. Nizi Project Season 1 aired in late 2019.
  • "Korean Girl Group in 2020" - Currently unable to determine

2019
Example A: This Hana Financial Investment reported JYPE will debut 4 new groups in 2019, including ITZY.

ACTUAL RESULT:
  • ITZY debuts
  • Nizi Project Season 1 airs
  • Jus2 (Got7 sub-unit) debuts with "Focus"
  • No new Chinese Boy Group debut, nor any other additional debuts

Wellp;;;; this is a whole mess.

I remember then wanting to debut a boyband in 2020-2021.

but it seems like we’ll be getting the 6 groups in 3 Years thing (which started in 2018).

Some articles says only 2 while another says "more than 2"

What’s your opinion on this Btw?

I think that they’ll debut the boyband (Day6 brother group) and the Chinese group this year. And that they’ll debut the boygroup and girl group next year.

They won't be debuting new Kpop groups for a while. They don't have many male trainees, plus they're rumoured to have lost some of their female trainees. In 2016 at the August showcase the majority of the trainees who participated were brand new and it'll likely be the same this year because they debuted two groups in 2018 and 2019 and usually people start to audition more once they've seen successful group debuts from the company. I predict that in 2020 we'll get Nizi's debut, in 2021 we'll get the Chinese boy group debut with Yaochen, then in 2022 we'll get a new boy group debut and a new girl group the following year. That way it follows the pattern of 4 years between each groups debut.

Got7 (2014) - SKZ (2018) - New Boy Group (2022)
Twice (2015) - ITZY (2019) - New Girl Group (2023)

2023 for a new Sk GG is to long. JYP should form his new SK BEFORE Twice contract renewal on 2022 so that has establish ground and hype. Now the question relies on: What if Twice does not renew? Will JYP leave the SK GG fort to ITZY? What if anyone among SMNGG, YGNGG or BHNGG becomes HUGE? It will be too late for JYP in retaining that NGG STATUS under his label. Unless NIZI becomes HUGE in Japan, China and SK.

Huh? But JYP Entertainment already said that NIZI and The chinese Boygroups will be managed by foreign agencies. They’ll only train them and produce songs and that’s it. They’ll still be under Tencent and Sony Entertainment.

the Boygroup is already going to debut in 2021 which will give a 3 Year gap for StrayKids and this new boygroup.

The only thing we need to find out is the debut date of the KRGG since they aren’t certain

Nizi wouldn’t be huge in S.korea since they are a Japanese Girlgroup. YG specifically said that his Gg will be the answer to SNSD and TWICE, and already said that they’ll have a General public friendly concept. Bighit would want their GG to be the top and SM wants the same. I agree with you, It wouldn’t be smart for JYP to wait that long. Itzy won’t be the leading girl group for this generation.

The Male group that is rumored to debut in 2021 is a BOY BAND not BOY GrOUP. Something like DAY6. JYP should at least join the fray and debut his NGG in 2021 too. Battle for YGNGG, BHNGG and JYPNGG. If SM can delay more, join the 2021 debuts too.

SM will probably delay it. Their RV Sub unit will debut in the second quarter and their is no signs. (TWICE and BP will comeback on their rumoured debut month). So it will be risky for SM to do that

No it isn't lmfao you seem to always have this idea that JYP is checking for other companies debut plans when I can promise you theyr'e not. JYP will debut them when he wants, and from the looks of things it won't be anytime soon. Twice's contract doesn't run up until 2022, a year before the potential group debut. Twice will still remain the nations girl group up to that point, because no groups that debut between now and 2023 will be able to go up against an established group with as big a fanbase as Twice, and chances are they're likely going to re-sign. They have no reason not to, despite perhaps how overworked they're, but I can see them lasting longer than 7 years. Think realistically about it, is debuting a new group so close to ITZY's a good idea, especially when they're understaffed and can barely handle looking after the artists they already have? Definitely not.

Oh god. StrayKids ARENT doing well AT ALL. No JYP Boygroup did except for 2PM (GOD didn’t debut under JYP so they don’t count). A Boygroup debuting wouldn’t hurt them at all.

Twice are reaching the 7 Year mark. Most GG’s lose their domestic Popularity (SNSD, F(x), WG, 2NE1 and More). Most GG’s wouldn’t survive this year mark either (SISTAR, MISS A, RAINBOW, 4MINUTE). New fresh faces will debut to lead the 4th Generation of Kpop. And no Kpop Girl group ever were leading a whole generation by themselves

1st generation: SES/BABY VOX.
2nd Generation: SNSD.
3rd Generation: TWICE.

SM IS going to push their new face/GG to the max to already establishe themselves. And any GG that has a Hit song + the Public love will beat a top GG. TWICE became the Nation’s GG after a year! Anything is possible since the attention on Kpop is still going strong.

JYP Entertainment wouldn’t be smart to not have the face of the company ready. Nizi are a Japanese GG and an all Japanese GG wouldn’t work in S.korea. ITZY do not have the GP favourite concept and JYP Boygroups are known to be driven on fandoms and not on the General public. Which GG will go against BigHits, SM, and YG new girl groups? Itzy wouldn’t stand a chance against them and I’m saying this as a fan of them. It’s as if you’re comparing Miss A to SNSD. 2023 will be extremely late. A top gg has already established and took the top spot.

Investors already liked the idea of JYP debuting so many groups since they do not have to worry IF TWICE ever decided to go their ways. An agency always prepares themselves for the worst scenarios.
