(•—•)oh yes I know of your artistry (I wouldn't call you a wannabe at all!) but i did not know of your drowsiness, which makes me relate even more! i'm literally quite sleepy right now. i stayed up all night painting and i wanted to sleep all day to catch up on my rest etc, but i got a phone call early this morning that woke me up. now i'm sitting here with my eyes half closed like "why did this happen to me?" i need caffeine
I agree, outside of Seventeen its hard for me to like every group member as a person. Of course I like all my groups as artists, but its not like every single person will give me the warm and fuzzies. With Seventeen they all do and it was instant. I did not want a new group and I had been ignoring Seventeen's debut. I felt like "why should I care about these nugus?" But then one weekend I was bored and I decided to just watch a bit of their reality show to unwind. Well I found out I liked every member! I was forced to accept the fact that though I didn't want a new group to stan I certainly got one! They're all really sweet, funny, dorky, and fun. I always think "Why dont I have friends like this IRL?"
There are times when I just want to sleep or take a nap to take away that drowsiness but I don't want to mess up my body clock so I try to power through the day! But yes, caffeine has been a good friend of mine these days I'm interested to see your artwork/paintings; I've been wanting to pick it back up again after dropping it for years and it'd be nice to have a buddy that I can talk to about stuff like this!
I was pretty much the same! I did look at them during debut but didn't get into them bc at that time I was kinda getting over K-pop and wanted to focus on irl stuff but then in 2017 I decided to stan, tbf though, one of my friends had been a fan since debut so I would always see their posts about SVT so I guess in a way, they got me into SVT life would be so chaotic if I had friends like Seventeen ajhdfafj but it would be really cool since there will always be a member that will be suited to do whatever you want to do, so you'll always have someone to hang out with!

I wanted to reply to this last night but I was drunk lol I just got a new Shudder subscription and I like to drink beer and watch scary movies, so I was doing that. But needless to say my conversation skills are a bit iffy after 2 beers lol and i was all the way up to three last night
I'm impressed that you can power through. I can't resist it and just sleep when I feel like I need to. If I really cant sleep then I have to drink coffee or something. Coca Cola has this new energy drink that I love. It tastes so wonderful and makes me wake up without making me jittery like red bull. I think I am sleepy often cause my sleep schedule is so sporadic. I say I'll get it straight and start sleeping at the same time every night for the same amount of time but often it doesn't work cause I get into something like a cool new tv show and then I really want to stay up.
I'll start posting some of my art around here soon. I'm in the process of upgrading my art so I've deleted everything I had on my deviantart. I was pretty decent in my art but I wasn't really knocking it out of the park like I wanted to. So in December I started taking a lot of classes and trying to bring up my weak spots. Last night I started a series of cloud studies and I'm very satisfied with how they look. So when I'm done with all the ones I'm going to do, I'll show you them. My goal has always been to be able to paint still life, people, clothing, rooms, furniture, skies, water, forests, flowers, animals. I am almost done with the whole list. I now know how to do everything except forests and animals, so I'll be working on those studies next! In the meantime I'm trying to come up with my own characters that I can practice drawing poses with etc and put into a full illustration. I used to always just use kpop idols for that stuff, but there comes a time when you dont want to be doing fanart anymore. You want to open your sketchbook and have people see what you imagined.
But yeah not to get wordy on it! lol But you can always talk to me about art stuff. I'm into it all - process, style, materials, tools, technique, just everything.
New Japanese single to be released!

Don't worry about it, sometimes I take a while to reply to people but sounds like you had a fun night! I'm weak when it comes to scary movies, so you would probably find me covering my hands throughout the whole film and then getting spooked out by the sounds.
Aha yeah, I get the feeling! I used to nap a loooooot but I told myself to cut it down because I felt like I was wasting so much of my free time just sleeping when I could try and do other things that I've been interested to do, even if it's something small like reading a book or play a video game. I feel like such an old person bc the latest I can stay up now is around 1:30-2AM; I used to be able to stay up at all sorts of hours but now I can't do it.
I'll look forward to it! Dang, it's been a while since I heard about deviantART... what a legendary place that used to be. That's pretty cool that you're proactive at trying to improve yourself by taking classes and even better that you're ticking things off your list! Painting is such a beautiful skill to have, and doing it has always been so therapeutic to me. But yeah, I totally get you on that last point; my ultimate art goal is to be able to develop my own style and be able to produce things from my imagination. It's a tough journey for all artists but hopefully we'll get there one day!
I have a lot to learn about things to do with art, but I will definitely pop up here and there
Hoping he doesn't have that almost-mullet style in the rest of the shootOmg i almost didnt recognize him from the pic with longer hair. More pictures please <3
But I want to see the rest of the photos now, and hopefully there will be some clips of BTS; gimme all the content for this shoot @/1stLook

Yeah most people don't love horror like I do but I can just forget the movies entirely once theyre over. lol I get really scared while I'm watching but then I can just turn off the lights and go to bed. lol
I know what you mean, I hate to feel like I'm wasting time. That's why I gave up kdramas. I used to spend whole weekends or even a whole week on dramas. I realized that I was wasting my life, even though it was so enjoyable! I miss it. I hope someday I can go back to watching dramas! I still spend a lot of time watching Seventeen though. That's my guilty pleasure!
I dont really know, I mean I heard that there was a time that DA was fantastic but I was not an artist then so I only know how it is there now. I have found so many good artists to follow there which helped me learn a lot about different styles of art. Not to mention I get lots of tips and tutorials there. All my favorite artists keep a DA account but they are more active on instagram or artstation. So I think eventually I will do that too, but for now I'm really comfortable with DA because I don't feel pressure to be very good or anything. :Slime:
Thanks! I kinda had no choice but to work hard at it. I looked around and realized that nothing was going great for me and I wasn't good at anything. Not anything, really. So then I thought 'well what could I be good at? What's something that would make me happy?' I chose art and I decided to give it my all. But after giving it my all for a long time I still wasn't talented. lol So I started getting better classes and practicing more hours. I can't help or fix a lot of things about myself that I don't like, but I can fix this one thing. I can make myself good at art, even if its the last thing I ever do. So that's my focus.
Yeah its a journey for all of us. At first I had 0 direction but over the past year it has become clearer to me what i want my art to be. So I'm just trying to reach out and grab it

Mood. I still watch a lot of films and series but if it requires me to read subtitles, I know I have to only focus on that and won't be able to do other things bc I will miss what they're saying and then won't understand what's going on. I try to find balance though, watching things like that, which is usually during late evening or really early morning when I'm too lazy to do anything, lmao.
DeviantART was the place to be back in the day for artists; I guess it's not as popular as it used to be but I agree, there are a lot of resources on there! I've never heard of artstation before gonna check that site out!
Aww, I'm sorry to hear that things weren't going great for you. It's great that you've found a passion; I think that's one of the biggest achievements finding something that you love and being able to incorporate that to your every day life, whether that be a hobby you keep up with or making a career out of it. I'm rooting for you and I believe that you can reach your goal!
