StanYeah, just kinda salty that TWICE was 3,5 years into their successful career when it started, while their competitors are only now getting inhouse competition, despite being longer on stage.

Struggle is real in SK. I remember last year Fancy came out after KTL and still got more views in SK. M&M couldn't even get in with a 4 month headstart on Lovesick Girls this year.

It's possible, but I think it's a combination in this case. Assuming that they didn't have events, it would explain why the drop was so big.

Nugu"Boycott" is a strong word. But I believe they just bought less copies that they usually do because hit rate are abysmal (thanks Warner JP) so the single is basically a scam. Add to the fact that there were issues with the recent online hi-touch (only 5 secs, can't add use all tickets at the same time to add time, tech issues, etc.). In short, there was no incentive for them to actually buy a lot ergo the low sales. And unlike Kr albums, i-onces dont really buy the singles.

StanIt's been said in this thread before, but if you compare today's MAMA JYP acts stages, judging from sets and overall production, JYPE is planning to dominate with Stray Kids lol.
I have a feeling Cry For Me was originally planned to be used as a repackage track. It's too good for MAMA with no digital release at all.

NuguI think they're still gonna release Cry For Me as a repack title or b-side. So far the reactions have been more on the positive side. And can I just say that it would have been nice to have ICSM and Cry For Me as the comeback title songs this year, instead of M&M.

StanNot only it had the same people in production team, they even used same samples here and there. Should have been some connection to ICSM, probably. It make sense if it was planned as title track for repackage, imo.
Maybe we'll have it as a bside on some of the future minis. Smth like breakthrough korean ver.

i mean if we are being honest, skz only need to blew up in korea to dominate next gen kpop, and remember fangirls are loyal af. not surprised they are the most invested group in whole jyp ent. good for them to be honest SKZ growth is insane this year like 150% growth, remind me of 2015 BTS growth. so i think its fair to invest in them.
i just want their A/R decision to not making more mistake like this year, pls only choose GOOD SONG if you want release a single, not 1 good song and 1 average song according to their QUALITY CONTROL like this year for example:
TWICE
m&m = average song
icsm = great song
ITZY
wannabe = great song
not shy = average song
NIZIU
make you happy = great song
step and step = average song
i know its hard to maintain the QUALITY but they need to INVEST more in production if they want to survive 3 of them, personally i still have faith in them but if they want fail to dominate all gg market concept then. pls no more bad A/R decision 2021

StanJYPE are not big enough to adequately promote/manage multiple groups, especially it they want to keep their margins as high as possible which is what they use Twice for mainly.
Twice were pretty much done when JYPE decided to debut all these groups whilst Twice were still at the top. There's already more groups in the pipeline for next year, including the joint survival show one with Psy, so it'll only get worse.

StanDude, Cry for Me grew on me so much, I hope JYPE will utilize it properly. I think MAMA version lacked proper mixing (vocals were too quiet in some parts), but if JYPE add some polish and maybe even film some kind of MV or performance version it will be great. A true gift to the fans.
BBC did it for Loona recently, when Voice got great reviews, interesting to see if JYP has the same level of ambitions and resources for it's most successful group ever. I mean, Stray Kids used to release some kind of small MV every month, so it's nothing new for JYPE.

NuguThey are definitely doing something with Cry For Me. I hope they release it before year end shows so they can perform the song (assuming gayos are still happening given the situation in Korea).
