StanNo. I think unless a company specifically says or releases it too the media I really don't think we have a way of seeing how much each cost but just using what some idols have said or hinted at in the past for a baseline figure.
You can check some of them here tho! It's the most expensive MV's and it contains some offcial figures for Kpop MV's and from that you can kind of take guesses based on the level of production value a semi-ball park figure for average MV cost.
SES having an MV over 1.5m and T-ara and BAP with 1 over a million also.
But according to an article I read before from JYP the company broke down rough costings.
To debut Twice it was roughly 450k USD. The article also claimed(this was as per 2015/16) that an MV cost roughly 150m Won for them to produce, which is around 100 grand. At the time tho I think that figure was based on MV's from their early years.
Tho the original sourced article for that on Newsen is currently deleted soo..
Also Dreamers you got your wish I suppose as some Once are doing a boycott currently with Korean fans en masse refunding their Beyond Live tickets-even big accounts like Zard are. Maybe some Once are finally sick of JYPE shits and are voting with their wallets now
Interesting how JYPE reacted immediately:
Korean fandom is clearly not as active on twitter as international one, but they seem to be much more valuable for JYPE.

Yeah I think it again proves that most of the time # alone are not the way to go. Korean Once immediately started refunding the concert and something was done straight away, granted many still are boycotting as it's still not the same as other groups.
Others paid 30 Euro's and got the ability to watch the concert on one device and an individual member of their choice on a separate screen simultaneously. How ever we are paying 30 Euro and what we get is the ability to watch the show on 2 devices, sure, but what's the point? The member focuses won't be shown live for us and will only be available on VOD at a later, as yet, unknown date and they wont be full concert focuses, rather different member's for different songs which is still a lesser product than what was previously on offer for other groups.
I see this boycott as fully justifiable even following the amendment from JYPE/Beyond Live. Personally I wont be refunding or anything as I got 2 AR card packs from Yes24 and am excited for the concert anyway-but I can understand why some Once are. You don't want to set a precedent of being ripped off for lesser products or it will become a default for JYPE.
As I always say, eat shit for them once and it'll be all they feed you from now on.

NuguAre there any news how many viewers are they expecting for the online concert? Well before all these boycott news..
According to different sources:
BTS
750k viewers, 20M usd sales
Superm
75k viewers, 2M usd sales
Super Junior
123k viewers, 3.3M usd sales
NCT 127
104k viewers, 2.8M usd sales
BTS sales is like Twice's Tokyo Dome concert + merchandise level. It would be really good if the girls will be able to pull off at least half of the BTS numbers.

I don't think they will at all. Before the boycott I was hoping for somewhere above 75k-100k but you have to remember the Beyond Live platform is a much smaller scale than doing it on YT. It's not an app everyone has and a lot of people can't even get the app on their smart TV unlike YT that's globally available so the number was always going to be smaller. Are there any news how many viewers are they expecting for the online concert? But now I have no idea. I figured when it was announced that this would mostly be consumed by Koreans and Japanese(considering app, fanbase and the time it starts) I don't expect a huge number of iOnce to tune in.
So now I'm real worried since the KOnce boycott is fairly large scale apparently so I image a huge portion of viewers just refunded, given JYPE responded immediately and ticket board started spamming me yesterday with notices to buy I'm gonna guess the refunds were massive.
Also JOnce might not be a huge carry this time around as many Japan fans are still pissed as most of them still haven't been given refunds for the cancelled Tokyo Dome dates months ago.
Right now I would snatch the hand at 50-60 thousand.

Not just the concert that just happens to be the closest platform to hammer home the point for them. This guy explains it well, he/she is a go between for K and I fans. But they are doing it because of concert, I think I need to learn Korean and get K Onces on board with MV budget thingy.
The concert ticket price and lack of member focus cams is just the straw that broke the camels back and now K Once have finally realised the only thing to do is speak with your wallet. The concert is just the catalyst but fundamentally to overall protest is about larger scale issue such as bad promotion, no b-sides, bad MV's, poor refunds for concerts, lack of effort and now it's come to this and large scale boycotts is for overall better treatment and promotion.
I told you it all started with the Niave issue in June. K Once have been silently pissed for a long time and that was a bridge too far-JYPE thought they could just sweep the plagiarism scandal under the rug and get away with it and really K Once put the company on notice, pretty much telling them to step up or else.
With the concert it was obvious they didn't heed the warning so K Once responded.

JYPE is so dependent on hiring help from outside the company so I guess that's the reason they chose to collab with SM and Vlive since they already have the existing platform for online concert. They don't have to invest and plan all those equipment needed for the concert. Youtube won't be providing them those things hence there wont be any youtube online concert any time soon.
Personally I wont be watching this concert. Based on the teaser, it looks like they are just gonna perform their usual title track songs which I have already watched like a hundred times in youtube. So I will skip this first concert and just wait for the reviews.

Yeah, I can get that but at the same time other companies are always investing or creating new platforms or outlets for their artist and it feels like JYPE just play tag along. I think that's why we are getting a lesser product over SM groups but paying the same price.JYPE is so dependent on hiring help from outside the company so I guess that's the reason they chose to collab with SM and Vlive since they already have the existing platform for online concert. Personally I got it and got my code from Yes24 on Friday so I'm all set to go-it airs 7.00AM Sunday for me so I'm pretty excited even tho it's digital concerts it's been over a year since I got to see them live so I'm still looking forward to it.

StanSeems like JYP is involved with ITZY's new title track. Those who didn't want MR ASIANSOUL to be responsible for TWICE next track - rejoice, I guess. Not a 100% proof, but anyway.
That also explains why ITZY teasers so far looks really high budget lol.

The guy really is so fucking see through...watch now because it's a JYP song he'll book them for every variety show and TV spot he can.Seems like JYP is involved with ITZY's new title track. I really hope this sack of shit doesn't get involved in Twice next comeback. Hopefully after his disco song tanks and Not Shy likely flops he get's the message and the penny finally drops.

StanI love Itzy girlies, but the only way this old man gets the message is through his pocket. Last hit from JYP Nation remains to be Dalla Dalla, 2019 February. This is unprecedented for companie's girl groups. I don't even remember WG or Miss A having misses. Certainly some of their songs did worse than others. But Wannabe and FS level flopping is severe. The guy really is so fucking see through...watch now because it's a JYP song he'll book them for every variety show and TV spot he can.

I was surprised there were a lot of youtube uploads already of the concert. A day before the concert, I was trying to search any previous online concert videos from SM groups just to know what should we expect. I couldn't find any. But then I guess Twice has a bigger fanbase + casual fans than the other SM groups hence the piracy.

I figured since this was a joint thing between SM and JYPE the piracy would be minimal because one of the reasons it's harder to find streams and performance videos from SM groups is apparently that company comes down like a hammer on pirates.I was surprised there were a lot of youtube uploads already of the concert. From what I hear SM goes really hard on it, same for YG. I remember seeing when HYLT got leaked people started getting take down orders and DMCA's right away. I figured JYPE isn't as on the ball for that kind of thing since to this day you can still find concert DVD rips on Youtube lmao.
I did assume tho SM would ramp up on it since it's kind of money out of their pocket too.
