LOL. I knew OP would find some way to blame SM. Like seriously... Kpoppies think SM has the power to control everything that deals with their favs.
What you expect them to do? Tell local police to strip search every person not to bring in a different lightstick?
Again, it's something I have mixed emotions about. Technically its not a big deal. In a sense that it's not the end of the world that people bring a different lightstick. But same time it's like why? Would you go to a fansign and ask Hyoyeon to sign a Twice photocard?
this different lightstick has gotten out of hand and has now become "the norm" thing to do outside of ASIA. I don't think it can be controlled unless they put out some announcement at the venue. However, that just makes the agency/idols etc. the "bad guys." And it will probably backfire with kpop fans thinking "oh the hell with them then.. who they think they are?"
