Edit: Decide to remove my opinion.

I will just say this, I'm against for the ngg to debut now even though I already sensed is going to happen afterall is still in SM plan.

However, now no one knows what SM is thinking.
The only thing we know is the fact they have been delaying & using their "to debut this yr" for so many months & yet there is not a sign of it other than confirming one of their trainees in the lineup.

If y’all think Irene will fall just because of this y’all are crazy people like jiyeon from t-ara were literally hated for years and still are in the top 3 on brand rep.

there is Super Junior, Shinee & EXO (for EXO , i can't say I'm sure but EXO member are hinting about their solo so not sure.)

Shinee is possible as Taemin mentioned they planning to come back after all the member come back from enlistment earlier this yr during his live & I think Minho is released next week.

Superjunior : although I said it won't affect smngg debut, they can cover that period. The fact, one of the member spoil about their cb on their fan communication app, now most SJ fans are waiting for cb announcement.

Oh is that so? I wonder if all group/solo comeback first before smngg? smngg can debut in January 2021.. Wayv 1st teaser was on december 31 2018 but their official debut are on January 2019. So who knows.

The ones confirmed by SM through their recent financial report are EXO's Kai solo & NCT 2020.
SMNGG is vague here but same as their Q1, Q2 & half yr report plan. It only confirm that smngg will debut this yr from Q2-> Q3-> Q4.
Now, only leave 2 more months. (Qn: will SM push forward or delay to next yr)

Shinee's cb SM only said will meet for their 2021 expectation but is possible to come back this yr. After all Taemin hinted for sometimes already.

So for SJ is unclear since SJ recent subunit cbs are not really in SM plan , hence I believe SJ's cb is handled by themselves they just let SM know.
(i.e. SJ schedules works like SM's sublabel; not under their hand ; SM more like SJ label spokeperson now<- in my view)

The other EXO solo which I meant is EXO's Chanyeol where I saw AK article title said he mentioned to his fan himself. So for his case, is possible to be next yr. Since is not in SM plan.

Brand reputation has to do with being searching up your name or articles made by you. Irene was rude to multiple different big names in the industry and a lot of people don’t want to do anything with her. + Koreans already disliked her, now they will especially ban her

She was literally only called out by a person who worked with her once. Numerous hairstylist, choreographers, dancers, salon workers, and industry insiders have refuted the initial poster and even said that she had a right to be angry as the stylist did a horrible job. She’s literally Korea’s it girl, second most searched female in the country after IU and is fully loved. This isn’t a one stop thing but rather an evolving story. There was literally no evidence of her being rude to anybody else besides the stylist as liking a post doesn’t indicate that you went through the same thing and most comments which said “her attitude was well known” were by accounts with zero followers just trying to drag her down deeper.

This isn't directly in response to you but more so the overall situation. You can like a post but that doesn't mean you've experienced something similar, liking the post could mean anything from acknowledging the issue the stylist had, to just giving support for coming forward. It doesn't mean they support and agree with what was said. That and the amount of people now coming forward in support of Irene and against what was said is very telling.

False allegations are coming out left and right and are being debunked just as fast, Irenebar is suing false allegations defaming Irene. The original OP even said they got their apology, explained the day it happened which from what is being said is when all the in-ear stuff happened... All in all while it seems damning right now, articles in Irene's support are already trending on I believe naver, it will pass and Irene will come out fine.

Moving on from the whole Irene conversation but today is Ningning's 18th birthday. Kinda weird to think about the fact that she was maknae line when we first got to know her and now she's probably going to be unnie line...

yep... I 100% agree but... this will be controversal but... Red Velvet debuted around the same case after Sulli left f(x).
SM loves to cover up scandals with comebacks/debuts, unfortunately btw... I remember RV facing so much hate for this

i just want to add that i don't think it'll have a bad repercussion on SMNGG
considering that Irene name is already almost clear, post about people coming forward to defend her and praise her personality are already trending as number 1 on naver

Yeah I don't think it'll have any negative effects on the girls (and even Irene because like you said her image is already being cleared), here's hoping we can hear something about them soon tho!

The amount of support that came out for Irene is pretty amazing and very heartwarming.

I was surprised at the speed at which the apologies came out and everything settled down. The whole thing started less than 48 hours ago, right? Makes you wonder why SM got this out of the way very quickly. Is something coming soon? Hmmmm...

They said that they would protect their artists and trainees on the statement about yoo jimin's rumors. Maybe that's why lol, it happened to quickly after that, maybe they wanted to show that they're serious about it and want to protect Irene

How would you guys feel if the group were on the smaller side, around 4 or 5 members? Not saying this is what I think will happen, just want to get other opinions on the possibility of it happening. 3 girl groups in a row being on the smaller side would be repetitive and frankly quite boring, but I honestly have no idea what direction SM plans on taking the group now, considering we know little to nothing about them. I personally wouldn't mind it, only because I prefer smaller groups anyways, but it would be refreshing to have a bigger girl group come out of SM. It's been 13 years since their last one after all.
