well.. don't know what y'all was expecting. I expected "experimental" heavy beats etc. I LOVE IT! so different than what's currently out there.

You should give it more listens. It takes a while to process but the album is solid. SAVAGE IS LIT!!

But if your more into cutesy image stuff this might not be the image and sound for you. But if you liked BM and NL this really isn't far off.

Did y'all watch the showcase? They released a Performance video. It was so good!!!

The MV is gorgeous. The song is a bit jarring at first but started to become coherent after a couple of listens. It was great to hear Winter in her lower registers. She and Ningning make for a great vocal combination.

SM MVs usually have good bridges, and Savage has one of the best ones (both visually and musically) IMHO.

YES.. It's like that. people get shocked cuz they aren't used to it. but if they stay open-minded and give it a few more listens.. it became very addicting. That's what I love bout sm artists. they stay away from the norm of kpop.

^i agree the bridge is the best part of the song. Not enough to make it a good song imo. Too much rapping. The chorus is the same typical hooks you expect from a popular kpop group these days. Idk, I just feel like sm is more interested in fitting as many hooks as possible to create viral TikTok moments than they are in writing a cohesive, good song.

however, this isn't the kinda song I like anyway, so it's not really my bag. It will be successful and I'm happy for them lol. But, meh. I'll just enjoy their stuff other than the songs lol

You seem more of a straight-shooter "meat and potatoes" person. You know what you like. keep it simple. And I'm a happy camper. If after more listens you don't feel a change.. you probably never will.

I think me and DNB see eye to eye more as we reveluv/sone. we kind of used to songs like this. ie. I got a boy. zimzalabin etc.

zimzalabim is hot dog shit. it's exactly the current trend that's annoying to me of just trying to make random noises in songs that just become popular... too many songs these days just don't even use words anymore . it's the hot trend and annoying to me.

I have to listen to the B-Sides more. But Yeppi Yeppi seems to be a crowd favorite. I like it too. I'll Make you cry and Lucid Dream? But I'm just gonna say I like the whole album . Each one hits a bit different.

IKR... the camerawork is great. captures everything. the title almost sounds like shade towards music shows since their camerawork is usually horrible

where? on this forum? Lol.. I didn't even know we had such a thread. Most threads I see are pretty chill in here and empty. But.. Im not surprised. You probably won't get an honest or fair opinion. They have a lot of haters.. some just waiting to say something bad. if they did give it a honest listen then they probably only listened once.

I always felt how well a song will do in longevity is obvious in the first few hours of release. Like if the song rises then that's a good sign. If it tanks quickly then obviously not a good sign. Although.. there are exceptions. Like RV queendom and Taeyeon's weekend tanked after a few hours but rose back up. and stayed in top 10-20 . we have to wait till after the next day. cuz Korea is midnight now and they might start to drop cuz people go to sleep. If it stays at #1 or in the tops when it gets to late afternoon and evening. then it'll probably stay in the top 10 for a while?

I was not impressed with aenergy at first. But when it got to the "hands in air" parts the song started to make sense. This is a performance piece, meant to get the audience moving and pumped up at concerts. It is easy to follow and easy to get into. In that context it works brilliantly.
