Probably not. The public is fed up with NCT and they already hitted their 3th year without gaining popularity in their main country (S.korea) and aren’t doing good enough in China so yeah.

SM said the same about EXO Having a Chinese, Japanese and Korean sub-unit.
At the end it was only Exo-m and exo-k.

It became EXO after that, and then members started to leave.


Nct isn’t bringing any huge profit as SM expected, so they’ll ofcours go on with a different group when they’re expections weren’t gonna happen

Imo is not NCT fault, is SM for expecting so much, the industry is changing so we see way more groups now and they need to actualize themselves in the way they do things, I still think it’ll be NCT tho, maybe in the Wayv way where they’re from NCT but kinda from the outside

that was the case they would have mentioned a New Sub Unit Of NCT Which they mentioned for WAYV and all the other sub-units.

It clearly mentioned a new Boy IDOL GROUP. Not a sub-unit

I hope they debut at the beginning of the year like around february but sm ggs usually debut in the summer so who knows

Red Velvet members were shown in SM Rookies promos in early 2014. The SR14G teaser (Be Natural), with no mention of "Red Velvet", was released 16 July 2014. The teaser for Happiness, with the first mention of the group name, was released July 27, and the Happiness MV showed up less than a week later on August 1.

In retrospect, we really didn't know who was going to be in Red Velvet until the Happiness teaser came out. Prior to its release there was so much speculation, a lot of which turned out to be wrong.

Sooo... now that we have (almost) a date for debut, do you think Shinning Star is related to the new group (aside from the songs) you know the whole message at the end of the movie and the characters turning human in the end (i didnt watch it but i read that)

No. The girls don't even sing the Season 2 OST, nor the ones in the movie. It is an anime about idol life so it's obvious that the girls will debut one day... and about the character turning humans thing, I don't know what to think about it.
I think they may have been linked at some point, because as we know they were most likely supposed to debut in 2018 (and that's exactly when the season 1 ended) so it would explain why they stopped singing the OST. But if that was the case, I think that when SM decided to delay their debut they stopped collaboring and again, it would explain why Shining Star started promoting heavily the anime AFTER it was broadcasted in Korea (which makes no sense since usually you promote something that is currently on TV), because they weren't tied to SM anymore and could do whatever they wanted with the anime. Maybe I'm reaching, I don't know, but Shining Star Admin said they are not related and even if I have some doubts about their collaboration for Season 1, I totally believe that they have nothing to do with each other anymore.
