Honestly SM does need a new bg people are tired of NCT and I’m not believing that SM isn’t debuting a new bg when they themselves said they would along with srg then that would mean srg isn’t debuting plus I’m sure that person who is saying this stuff is an nct stan and most likely don’t want a new bg for the same reason rv and snsd stans don’t want a new gg

But if we think about it a little bit, isn't that crazy....i'm a nctzen and i don't hate the idea of a nbg debuting next year, but...if the new gg had to wait 6 years after Red Velvet...why these boys can't wait a little bit more.

This year SM debuted 2 boy groups: Way V and Super M...and it looks like they are stubborn about NCT system...so 4 popular idols are graduating from their best selling unit,the obvious move would be making a new subunit for those idols wich means new boy group under the NCT umbrella but with their own sound and style+NCT Dream as a duo or adding more members?

They can debut a nbg outside the NCT umbrella but that would means leaving NCT Dream as a fixed unit....but this SM after all: i just want our girls have their own spotlight after so many years of waiting.

I feel bad to say this but SM will never make NCT dream a fixed unit. They want NCT 127 to be the most popular, and it will go against their plan.

Seems unlikely. SM already confirmed the boygroup and GG for next year.

I know but the rumour on twitter doesn’t have an actual “proof” of SM not debuting A new boygroup. It would still be logical for SM to debut a new boygroup because:
- The GP lost interest in NCT because of SM messy ideas with the rotation.
-SM doesn’t have a current top boygroup.
- and the EXO and SHINee members are starting to enlist. Most teen girls in S.korea have their focusses o bother groups.

+ BoyGroups bring a lot of money too (because Female fans are extremely loyal and literally pay everything that has their biases want). So it wouldn’t be an actual surprise if SM really followed through their confirmed plan and debut those boys. They were spotted at the concerts of a few SM artists (sadly, they were spotted more times this year then SRG20 was ever spotted out of SM since 2016).

Regardless of if it makes sense, it's SM. I don't want them debuting a boy group the same year they come out with a girl group because it runs the risk of them throwing the girls aside for the boys and dampening their hype and potential to become a successful group. Let the girls shine on their own next year, THEN come out with a new boy group a year later if needs must. I'm perfectly fine with a new NCT unit introducing new members, but an entirely new group is not something I want to see happen because I know the girls will get the shorter end of the stick when it comes to SM's attention.

yeah + Taeyeon confirmed she's coming back soon and Taemin teased a possible Shinee comeback so you'd think one or both of those would be listed if this was their actual plan

Well if Taemin did mention about preparing something , then the list only the senior group sound reasonable.
