My view of the list:
As for NCT new unit is not surprising, didn't SM quarter revenue report keep mentioning new bg & new gg . I have sensed that since the media released out.

However, I won't trust the list 100% as that user only mentioned he/she put the list that was going around on his/her twitter timeline, no concrete source evidence. Not like the one in weibo (p.s most sm rumor I always based on china-side when I started stanning SNSD & SJ since there are more creditable just miss one or 2 on the timing).

So, the list I only believe the senior SM artists comeback because SJ, Taeyeon, Taemin & EXO are the only artists currently have told their fans they are preparing something.

Lastly, on the ngg, I still find giving the new mini album to debut , is so not like SM style. Usually SM introduce new group through debut single then subsequently release a mini album (time period could be long or short depends on SM). Why I say that, if I never remember wrongly, TXVQ -> SJ-> SNSD->SHINEE->F(x)-> EXO -> Red Velvet, all these groups debuted through single before having a mini album. So immediately mini album doesn't make sense.

Sorry i don't follow many SM artists, I only stan SNSD & SJ. Even taemin's one is mentioned by AstroBaby; exo I knew it through the twitter/Kb. So I listed those I know. Well if wayv is preparing is good for them but isn't they focusing more on china market? What I mean is I thought the list is korean album. I know way v have korean song. Just I always see them as a group that SM want to focus on for Chinese market. As for nct 127, I won't be surprised after all they are the only current nct unit the most active group.
I know nct dream also active after 127 but this unit is a project by SM for members below 20 yrs old, so they need to re-organise again so it wont take so fast for them to come back unless they have trainees ready to be added

NCT Dream sold 300K albums with their last release, that's pretty solid. Don't they need to find a place for the graduates?

That is right,if SM choose not to make it a fixed unit, yes, SM do need to give the graduates a place but I believe is within the NCT itself since one of the head mentioned NCT is 21 members so the graduates only can go two ways or create a new unit. But I don;t know how NCT dream fans will feel since I believe they want all the members in the same team.

Exactly, unless they have a change in PR team? But I know most Korean groups do debut single first? For now, is better to wait for teaser/media news

But if we think about it a little bit, isn't that crazy....i'm a nctzen and i don't hate the idea of a nbg debuting next year, but...if the new gg had to wait 6 years after Red Velvet...why these boys can't wait a little bit more.

This year SM debuted 2 boy groups: Way V and Super M...and it looks like they are stubborn about NCT system...so 4 popular idols are graduating from their best selling unit,the obvious move would be making a new subunit for those idols wich means new boy group under the NCT umbrella but with their own sound and style+NCT Dream as a duo or adding more members?

They can debut a nbg outside the NCT umbrella but that would means leaving NCT Dream as a fixed unit....but this SM after all: i just want our girls have their own spotlight after so many years of waiting.

To be fair plans change all the time. Nothing is concrete until a teaser has dropped tbh

I think the only thing that would actually stop SM from going ahead with the boy group is if core members left, otherwise I'd not get my hopes up about them not following through with it. SM is pretty good for following through with spoken plans.

I also wouldn't count SM debuting two groups in one year as a bad thing, I've been an SM stan for a long time and if I were to put my faith in one company being able to manage two rookie groups at once it would be them. SNSD debuted in August with SHINee debuting in May the following year, which isn't even a full year and both were able to succeed and be promoted while still technically in their infant stages.

A mini-album is a possibility, while girl groups from SM haven't debuted with mini albums both NCT 127 and SuperM debuted with minis. Granted NCT released singles before 127's debut under the U unit but still, you get the point

Honestly I don't think smnbg's debut will effect smngg's promotion or any activities. If SM decided to not promote the girls that much, they won't no matter what. And if they planned to promote smngg well, they will no matter what. I was just feeling sad seeing few srgnators and nctzen straight up hating on smnbg, not SM. As an Nctzen I'm afraid how smnbg will effect NCT but I won't say anything bad about them. Who knows if they a have a trainee training for so long and waiting to debut.

Anyways I was just thinking how will it all start. Everyday when it is 12am kst I get confused where to expect something from. Sm acc? Smrookies acc? Or a completely new acc dropping something? Or at first will there be a Naver article giving us information about SMngg members and future activities? I just don't know what to expect and from where?

With the year coming to an end I want to commemorate Koeun, Hina, NingNing & Lami for waiting for so long to debut. I can’t imagine how hard it’s been for them to wait all these years, but 2020 is going to makeup for all of the hardships and difficulties they’ve faced a long the way and I can’t wait to witness their debut I started following these girls all the way back in 2016 and now almost 4 years later they’re finally going to be making their debut and I couldn’t be prouder of them

t won’t they are a bg and different audience but it would be shocking to see their actual gender ratio audience once they debut
