I thought he might be a foreigner making it as a artist in Korea or something. Since his son was speaking fluent Korean. I thought he married a Korean girl etc.

He's a western artist, but his mom and his wife are from South Korea. His son is a Kpop fan.

Oh I see. His mom also korean? Cuz he doesn't look "half" like his son does. I guess thats why he picked up some korean but from the sound of it he doesn't sound fluent? A lot like how I, or most people sound when they learning korean . Idk how to explain it. But you know what I mean. His son tho you can tell he he picked up the language from his mom or educated by school. Or maybe his passion for kpop. Or all of the above .

That's cool tho. The girls and other kpop idols won't have to seem too awkward knowing there's no need for translator. But for aespa no problem as they can understand either. For the most part that is.
