I'm actually curious about this: is expressing an opinion instigating staff? Are we allowed to ask questions that don't reflect well on staff? Like questions about the favoritism, the cliques etc?

You are allowed to express your opinion, this thread and our PMs are open for any criticism you might have about the forums and its staff. But the moment someone is singled out and made threads of that expose or turn them into a target, it's not allowed, be it staff or not. We are always taking your criticism into consideration and trying to better ourselves, you can rest assured about that, nothing is being ignored.

I have 5 wps and I didn't single out a user. I spoke generally to staff, and didn't mention a single username. I criticized staff and stated my opinion - one that I still maintain. I think the cliques that form staff are tearing the site apart and make it so it can't function properly (i.e. gfx being made up of the events team). I only stated myself and wrote it more as a message to them than an expose.
When I've stated opinions before I was shut down. And it was specifically me. Users with warning points who had actually targeted staff have been able to have a dialogue. Anything I've ever said (even within my own team) has been shut down.

Looking back at the thread in question, the way you stated that opinion was the problem, it was not appropriate. You used way stronger language than what you're presenting right now, so it came across as purely antagonizing. You didn't mention any names but you did say it was about one person in particular, and I think it would have been better if you had just messaged them. If you want to discuss the situation, feel free to PM me.

Anytime I've mentioned anything nicely, I've been shut down. But that is no excuse for speaking out of emotion.

Please don’t make a fool of yourself and try to learn more about the situation before coming here to defend someone that fooled you with a false nice image.
If the admins decided to remove Yeddong from their mod position it’s because they saw enough to see that their toxicity and hatefulness is against the principles of moderating a community.

I could care less about your kpop feud from OH, I dislike making them a mod and then removing them in this fashion.

This is more than a kpop feud. This person took pleasure in humiliating others. Called fans a racial slur. And other very bad things that were removed by the mods because they are hateful.
You are part of the problem if you don’t recognize that after learning those, admins were very rightful to remove them from their position.
Reflect and learn.

We didn't cancel him. The team judged his application based on his history mainly on this forum and while we were aware, while not completely, of his past actions somewhere else, we decided to give him a chance to prove himself, initially. Keep in mind that the Junior Mod period is a trial, it's a process where we evaluate both their actions and the response to such actions.

As more things kept coming to light and the community expressed discomfort over having him as staff, unfortunately, we couldn't just ignore the users and keep him on the team. We are all deeply regretful about how this whole situation turned out, we're sad to see him go as well. No one in the team harbors hard feelings about him.

No! It's not the fault of the mods, they were very kind and received me warmly. ♥ I was removed because of people who complained about the decision.
