ya'll that is a mughal era dress(anarkali) jnviejferfisgdgrf. just better quality in the film bc idk if we were instructed to use an actual preserved dress, or not combine two histories from the same country? should've been more specific dang.

Mina - 5/10 - It felt more like cosplay than a realistic interpretation, I also don't think that kimono looks very good.
Mocha - 6.5/10 - You picked probably the theme I liked the best for this round so I was very excited but... I'm not floored. I mean, I like basically everything BUT the kimono which is the main piece. I don't know, it just doesn't look good to me, I feel like there were prettier ones even if the reference pictures you picked out. This one, to me, looks more like something you'd catch a cosplayer wear more than an actual piece they would wear.
Riri - 6/10 - I mean it makes sense for this round but it's way too safe, maybe a re-interpretation of the kimono would've been better than just choosing a kimono. You could've played with the accessories more as well. RIP Aki - 7/10 - So I like that you did your research. There is a reason behind why you picked your pieces and i really like that. Now looking at the pieces themselves, The kimono is ...okay. It didn't blow me away but it looks okay. It does have a strong anime feeling than being an actual kimono especially when comparing to other kimonos of that time period, which does use flowers but in a more decorative way. I am glad you changed your nagajuban as the one you picked looks way better than the other one.the shoes are great and i think the fan you you picked is very pretty. I actually like the red parasol, i think it gives a nice contrast to the outfit. I like the makeup and hair you picked, i think it goes well with the kinono. The only issue i have with the whole look is that it looks alright but not mindblowing.

Mina - 7/10 - Oooh I like this! I liked how you decided to make it more modern without making the look lose its touch.
Mocha - 7/10 - It is a historically accurate look, however, I'm not a fan of this dress. She's busted, especially around her um.... waist area. In general, I feel like you kinda shoot yourself in the foot with this theme because it would be hard to pick an outfit that could floor the judges. But overall, it ain't bad.
Riri - 6/10 - I feel like i've seen that specifical dress so many times whenever there's something 20's related and i don't mean the general form and style of the dress but that exact dress lmao, i don't really like it.
Aki - 8/10 - I love the look, it is very 1920s and i dig it. The flapper girl look doesn't really give you a lot of creative freedoms so i am alright with what you gave. I actually like the dress. it is pretty and i am glad you didn't pick one that is very heavy on the tassels. however i think you could have picked one that has more embroidery or smaller sequins. The makeup and hair are great! and I love the accesories. The one thing i absolutely dislike is the shoes. While they are basic flapper girl shoes, they look cheap. I wish you had picked a more interesting design.

Mocha - 9/10 - Hell yes. Gorgeous. Hate the shoes but I can forgive them since the dress is so pretty.
Riri - 9/10 - Wew what a slay, maybe it needed a pop of color but its ok.
Aki - 4.5/10 - So. first of all traditional is not equal to historical. Historical means you are looking at something in the past. A traditional outfit on the other hand can evolve with time. The traditional vietnamese outfit áo dài has evolved over centuries. The version people wear today is not the one they wore 100 years ago. The style has changed as it takes on more modern interpretations of fashion design and what is trendy. So to be honest Idk how to score this piece as there is no time tag. Is this a rendition of the outfit in the 20s? is it a rendition of the outfit in 1800s? Is it a rendition of the outfit in 2020? Idk. Is it beautiful? yes. I love the colours you picked. They are very feminine and pretty. I like the head dress, it looks stunning. The shoes are definitely not of the traditional style but they are pretty shoes and some modern touches are okay. The makeup is beautiful. However the important question is "Is it historical?" And the answer is... idk. And that is not a good enough answer for the round.
