I've never liked the "maf wouldn't be aggressive like this" argument tbh. In most case scenario at least one of the mafs has been someone that's consistently present in the thread (usually the one with the most experience) and actively gaining attention. I mean they'd want to gain the trust of town more than anything, right?
Plus don't people usually end up lynching the quieter ones either way? The whole, "probably can't balance being here and the mafia PM" argument?

No, people don't end up lynching the quieter ones unless towards the end and that's why Townies these days flop so often.

Secondly, what you are saying can be very true except... this is a long mafia. There's plenty of time so why blow it in the start. I don't think anyone has been aggressive unlike the popular opinion. It only looks aggressive when you have people defending over 1 or 2 lynch when we have the whole day left to change, and specially thinking a few lynch is a start of a wagon. Why? I think that's what ive been saying from the start, that yes mafias won't be voting themselves up and they wont even be active in the voting as to start a wagon when there's like 14 other people to vote? Hence that point is sus to me regardless of whether its from a confused townie or not.

imo it's really risky to be pushy as a mafia, I think it will always backfire at some point
the "can't balance being on thread and mafia PM" really doesn't hold in this type of game either, you got a whole day so that's plenty of time to discuss on both

well obviously there are exceptions to every rule, so I'll never 100% discard the possibility of the aggressive people being mafia, but like I said people who usually ping me most as typical mafia play as the ones who are always present but never presenting relevant stuff, just posting enough so they won't be considered quiet, but not posting too much as they will be target of attention

So far it doesn't truly seem like anyone's doing any defending. It's mostly been questioning and trying to gain insight/info from other players.
For example, with Nara. People were just trying to figure out why she felt the lynch was sus. And once she gave an anwser it opened the doors to another potential outcome/potential mafs. At this point I'm open to whatever theories people have so far because not much as been presented.
