It's been reported that he and his wife were due to be prosecuted for corruption (which would lead to impeachment) but he declared martial law before this process could begin. The supposed 'North Korean Agents' are literally his political opponents and the Police/Military have (illegally?) blocked Nat. Assembly members from entering the building to convene to shoot down this declaration.
