I think they’re kinda right
I'd agree with this like, ten years ago maybe lol. But i feel like nowadays fans want their bias to be anything but straight because they want them to be not "boring"? for lack of better choice of words. At least that's how it feels like on the stan twitter side of things.

Cause I remember going through that with BTS. I used to really think all 7 members were fruity. I still get videos of them on TikTok and sometimes I do still wonder, but I know I need to relax on those stereotypes and wishful thinking. I have to keep reminding myself that just because someone does sassy things or moves doesn't mean anything.

When I first got into kpop I got queer vibes from way more male idols. There's just a softer version of masculinity that's accepted in Korea (especially for idols) that can be kind of a culture shock in that sense. Flower boys were the majority of popular groups when I got into kpop though so that probably pushed that idea harder to me at the time?
