The rumors started as Sojang said that the comedian and the idol became close after Kim Shin Young was the MC for Oh My Girl’s 2017 showcase. From then on, Jiho mentioned the comedian in the thank you section of every album. Then there were matching items that the comedian and Jiho had, with a bunch of shoes, outfits, masks, rings, bracelets, and phone cases cited.

To this, Kim Shin Young clarified that they are just close friends and she always shares her stuff. Moreover she’d like people to stop insulting her looks based on presuming the rumors were true.

"Yes, it’s true that she wore my clothes once. But I let her borrow it. That’s all.”
