that's just Jiu's PR talk. maybe that's what ceo told her.

one of the main advantage that i can see is to keep their liabilities separate, so that any financial difficulty/insolvency will not affect the other. not sure about tax savings, lower total income lower tax rate i guess.

i'm quite sure mmt does not pay for the full expense of the tours, they probably share with dcc or the expenses are covered from earnings and net profit are split with dcc (if any). no company will take such a big risk to organise concerts for nugu groups when didn't even reach 50,000 minimum points (mmt's policy), so mmt must have some agreement with dcc to exclude this rule. maybe some partnership cause mmt organised the photobook crowdsourcing for dcc as well and i don't think they've done that for anyone else.

I could see that, but I think it's unlikely. Let's not forget DCC's parent company is Imagine Asia.

Taken from Wikipedia:
Imagine Asia (Korean: μ΄λ§€μ§„μ•„μ‹œμ•„; formerly known as Wellmade Star M and Wellmade Yedang), is a South Korean entertainment company established in 1976.[2][3] The company operates as a talent agency, television production company, event management, concert production company, and music publishing house.

Given DCC itself is a subsidiary of Imagine Asia, it's not out of the realm of possibility they are able to utilize connections and possibly funding from their parent company.

And yeah, it's doubtful MMT pays the full expense of the tours. I'm sure they choose the venues though so it's possible they could get a deal or two given the handful of concerts for groups they've helped put together. I also think like you said some of the cost is covered through earnings with any profit split between the two.

Either that or they really like promoting Dreamcatcher and wanted to put together the photobook to try and help them out

I didn't get too many details of how the MMT organized overseas tours went. From a financial perspective, was it viable and will it be viable to continue with concerts following that program?

They've had 3 tours so far and a 4th is rumored for Australia next.

2017
MMT Tour

2018
They had their own small concert

MMT Tour

2019
MMT Tour

While I can't speak to how viable the MMT Tours are, it is allowing the girls to see other countries they normally wouldn't have and get to meet fans they normally wouldn't have either. I'd say to keep doing it if it is financially viable.

The only tour with an issue was the Asia tour as far as I know (one of the stops had to change to a smaller venue)

Thanks. The one article I did read about the Berlin stop made it sound like the girls and fans had a great experience. Hopefully the numbers work out financially and they can keep traveling around the world. I always wondered why mid-tiered kpop groups didn't tour very much. In the states, it seems musicians tour at whatever career stage they're at but just at appropriately sized venues.

You're welcome
If they're able to get One Hallyu operational again you can go to the Dreamcatcher thread there to read some great stories. I feel like we had a few people post about their experience during the Europe tour especially (everyone loved it). It's a no-brainer to see them if they're going to be close enough for you to go.

jakarta concert was cancelled due to low ticket sales. only the fansign proceed.

next tour:
sydney, melbourne, kuala lumpur

ppl should really stop doing the make4make, it's dumb trying to artificially inflate the mmt points and the end result is low ticket sales and concert cancellation

I forgot that's what happened, thanks for correcting me

Is that why Jakarta ended up with low ticket sales?

Siyeon finally passing 1 million views - 103K likes, 685 dislikes (I don't know how you can dislike it), 6,843 comments and growing

For comparison purposes (they both released the cover on the same day)
Jimin has more views (1.7 million), but 78K likes, 1.4K dislikes, and 2, 864 comments
Although I heard her cover was advertised

that's probably just one of the factors. i think dork has sort of explained this: ticket price, time (weekday), logistics

i like most of their songs, hard to choose faves, maybe chase me, full moon, mayday, piri.

you should check out their earlier albums, but if rock music is not your thing, maybe you'll like sleep-walking (from prequel album).
