I saw the movie and some theory videos on YT, but since the movie is a metaphor, I can't take it as the real deal of the myth. And you comment make no sense to me cuz a doppelganger is a evil copy of someone, Minx is love, cuteness and happiness
According to the myths the doppelganger that encounter its original has to kill it and take its place (at least in Japan). That was exactly what Dreamcatcher did. But you know I dont want to be the vibe killer, just keep it cool.

yeah but the twist to the movie is that the mother IS the doppelganger and the "doppelganger" is the original. that's why my comment makes sense. you are saying the same thing as me xD
