I haven't seen any info about the contract length for the season 2 group. It's interesting people have criticized the season 1 winners as having very few group activities. They basically get fame through the program then all of the members do individual activities.

I'm guessing if she's eliminated things will be ok. But if she wins will she still be able to perform with Dreamcatcher when there aren't conflicting schedules?

No still speculation on the timing of the DC tour and IP Season 3 (with clips of DC in the IP3 promo).

Nothing has been confirmed, but it's pretty likely... One of peoples main concerns about all this, is that idols who do well on these Chinese shows basically remain there. If Dongie does well, we might not be seeing much of her at all.

i don't follow c-pop anymore but as far as i know, idol groups are not mainstream, and most of the popular artists are solo artists. the primary way to gain fame in chinese market is through c-drama. if handong is casted in c-drama then that would be really good, but in that case, dcc should happily announce the news.

i don't follow c-pop anymore but as far as i know, idol groups are not mainstream, and most of the popular artists are solo artists. the primary way to gain fame in chinese market is through c-drama. if handong is casted in c-drama then that would be really good, but in that case, dcc should happily announce the news.

I think Jia is pretty popular as a solo artist in China now. I also disagree with Handong disappearing to China like others have said. Unlike WJSN, there's not a Chinese company DCC is partnered with so whatever ends up happening with Dreamcatcher member schedules is up to them.

The only catch would be if she was in that Idol Producer program and was part of the final group, then there would be the issue of her Chinese schedules with that group taking precedence. If she was offered to be cast in a drama she could film and then come back to promote with the group since DCC has full control.

I love Handong in DC and I don't want her shipped off to China, however I know the market there is huge and if she did become popular, she'd be able to make a lot of money there.

That WJSN and DC interaction is cute! I have a hard time believing that Dayoung didn't know you could add ice to coffee to make it cold...

I just wish Siyeon was there too. I'm dying to see Siyeon and Yeonjung together.

If handong get into the top 9 and debut with the group, I don’t think she can promote with dc, there will be exclusive period for a time. The previous idol producer winners don’t have active kpop members so there’s no prior reference, but can refer to the cz101 issue where the management agency for the winning debut group fought with wjsn Chinese agency over the promo rights. A Korean agency and a tiny one like dcc will never stand a chance in China if such legal issue happen.

I don’t think Jia is considered famous in China. The popular ones that started from kpop are the exo China line, jackson from got7, and wjsn China line and yuqi (recent). Victoria was popular but I think nowadays, she has already lost that popularity. The actual really popular ones are china’s own idols and most gain their fame through dramas.
