If handong get into the top 9 and debut with the group, I don’t think she can promote with dc, there will be exclusive period for a time. The previous idol producer winners don’t have active kpop members so there’s no prior reference, but can refer to the cz101 issue where the management agency for the winning debut group fought with wjsn Chinese agency over the promo rights. A Korean agency and a tiny one like dcc will never stand a chance in China if such legal issue happen.

I don’t think Jia is considered famous in China. The popular ones that started from kpop are the exo China line, jackson from got7, and wjsn China line and yuqi (recent). Victoria was popular but I think nowadays, she has already lost that popularity. The actual really popular ones are china’s own idols and most gain their fame through dramas.

If Handong did make it to the Top 9 and debuted with the group, you're right, it's definitely unlikely she'd be able to promote with DC, but not out of the realm of possibility depending on what the management agency of the winning group wants to do. I looked it up and you're right, Jia's not well-known, although seems to have a loyal following. For some reason I thought Banana Culture Music was larger than it actually is. And even it's parent company Shanghai Project Banana Culture Co., Ltd is a small company. Regardless of Victoria being popular or not, she seems to have no shortage of activities given she couldn't make it back to reunite with the other 3 members of f(x) due to her schedules.

If Cheng Xiao ever makes it back to WJSN I'll be surprised.

Yeah, but the whole thing of her being on the show is strange just because they showed Dreamcatcher as one of the girl groups in a montage or whatever. I saw a screen-capture of it and it's literally the full group (I think from You & I MV).

After I read your comment I didn't know what you meant and then looked up the news to see Amber is no longer with SM. But you're right though, signs have been there for awhile and honestly, aside from Luna, I can't think of a reason any of them would continue staying with SM

Dal Shabet’s Serri Shares Details About How “Sponsors” Slip Into Idols’ Instagram DMs

On her YouTube channel “Serriday”, Dal Shabet‘s Serri spilled disturbing details on how “sponsorships” – or the exchange of financial and materialistic support with sexual favors – work in the world of K-Pop and her personal experience with such “offers”.

After pointing out that everything is based on what she knows and experienced as an idol, Serri dished that there are entertainment agencies who actively connect their managing artists to such “sponsors”.

To be honest, it is a matter of which agency you’re signed to. There are agencies which accept these sponsorship offers and the CEO passes on the suggestion to the agency artists. There are also sponsorship offers that reach the stars individually.

Serri clarified that while she was actively promoting as a part of Dal Shabet, she and her group-mates never had to attend any occasions that made them uncomfortable, thanks to their agency’s CEO being against sponsorships.

Personally, my CEO never took the group out to bars or anything like that.

Unfortunately, Serri did have experience with receiving sponsorship offers via Instagram. As more K-Pop idols start up their own social media accounts to communicate better with their fans, such platforms have become a way for sponsorship offers to reach them as well.

I’ve gotten a DM before. Everyone gets such DMs. It is up to the person who received the DM to either ignore it or get offended by it and do something about it.

The DM that Serri received detailed out the offer by listing the “assets” that the sponsor had and the “benefits” that Serri would reap from the relationship had she agreed to it.

I check all my DMs. So I ended up checking this one too. It listed the person’s name, age, occupation, and other personal information. It also listed how much I’d be paid if I agreed to do this and what kind of advantages I could get out of it.

Serri also revealed that facing revengeful disadvantages in the industry for turning down sponsorship offers is an actual possibility. She dished at such “sponsors” for abusing the trainees and artists by threatening to meddle with their careers.

There could be revenge for turning down a sponsorship offer… like getting fired from a role or being excluded from debuts. So it’s a nasty thing for them to do. Not that these artists and trainees wouldn’t be able to survive without the sponsorship money – but for their dreams and goals to be messed with and threatened like such, I think that’s horrible.

These unethical “sponsorships” have been a long running problem in the entertainment business. With the rise of platforms like YouTube and Instagram, more celebrities and content creators are being affected by the discreet “sex for money” offers.

Serri assured the viewers, however, that not everyone in the industry are bad. Like her own CEO, who did not fall to the sponsorship offers, Serri clarified that there are also trustworthy people who will try their best to guide the trainees and artists in the right direction.

hfe seems to treat their artists quite well compared to some other kpop agencies although hfe still made some dumb decisions occasionally (e.g. drc, mess9, minx put on hiatus, didn't protect ds from banas).

it's like a membership app, but drc driven. members post pictures, you can comment, like or give drc. there's option to purchase drc in the app. 1 drc ~ 1 usd. Like or comment on posts will earn "drc reward", which can be converted into drc. Membership tier is dependent on drc. ~drc drc drc~

the app is a bit of a mess tho. messy layout, and app resolution doesn't adjust to my phone and keep refreshing itself. blurry pictures too, not sure whether it's app problem, or dc member phone camera quality or selfie skill...

I'd say it's an app problem. People also had issues with the board itself not being available to post so people were speculating if it was periodically crashing. It seems there was little to no testing done before publishing the app.

Like you said the layout isn't the best either. Given iOS has higher security and usability standards, it's possible we may not see an iOS release for awhile (or at least until they cleanup the Android app). I'd be surprised to see an iOS version released with so many issues.

hopefully the android version get fixed and ios app release soon. then you can see siyeon using her foot as a phone.
