Didn't Taeyeon openly say last month that the lack of communication with SM was quite bad so there is a riff between the 2 parties. As for Wendy we all know that it hasn't been smooth either and we don't know about her contract situation either so this is why I'm a tad concerned about this. Yes personal reasons could mean anything but I'm just throwing my 2 cents in thats all

And also its pretty shitty from SM's end cos its so last minute and SM is only announcing it now despite them having apparently discussed it over a month ago and it puts wendy in this uncomfortable situation of having to apologize and reassure fans

As a ultimate Taeyeon stan, most of her words and actions get taken out of context.
And it gets worse and exaggerated by bandwagon haters and social media.
But... from what I understand. She was "not getting the help she needed" (or wanted) for her smtown stages?
What that exactly means.. IDK. She has not given any details. So I can't say if what she requested was unreasonable or not.
But if this is why she's not attending... From her perspective she's probably thinking "why bother... ?" If I can't give the performance I want etc.

As for Wendy not exactly sure what her issue is. She hasn't said anything about smtown concert like taeyeon has. So lets wait and see. Fans will probably ask her at youngstreet or social media

SM waiting until now to say this probably means they were waiting for Wendy to change her mind but she didn't and I'm glad they are in a time when they can decide if they participate or not. SM Concerts are a lost for groups like RV and their fans; unless you are a fan of NCT (like me) you will be half fo the time bored. (I heard this concert will last 5 hours!!).

This makes me think the renewal conversations aren't going that well and yes, I'm a firm believer of SM trying to damage the image of the artists that don't renew/or not renew inmediatly (they apply certain tactics to "convince")

5 hours is pretty much standard isn't it? I remember when SMTown Live were held in the beginning of each year and they would last for about that time then the SM DJs just mixes songs for the next hour or so right? I had a fun time cos I would be in the RVCord live chat talking and joking about lol

I'm not counting the DJ section because I'm not sure the live concerts have that. The concerts are getting longer because of the number of artists?... 2 songs max per artists + collabs should be enough.

Fair enough. I do miss LSM in the way he creates those concerts tho. It had that warm comforting SM Family vibe to it and the way they end their concerts with the traditional "Hope" song.
