If I'm not mistaken, there might have been comments along these lines in some of the more extreme right wing boards like ilbe, but more wanting the JP idols in general to leave. I'ts probably a case of some right-wing JP guy cherry picking comments. But I think those comments were way in the minority, and certainly doesn't reflect public opinion. What is concerning is the translation of the title, which in both Google and Bing, translates are opinions wanting them to leave, as opposed to them being forced (past tense) to leave. Even the text in the main body doesn't say anything about idols being forced to leave.

Maybe @drhcc can clarify, but these potential mistranslations are more likely to make things worse, especially for English-speaking kpop fans.

Title of the Naver link in that post above reads:
"Twice and Rocket Punch Japanese Members' Crisis of Expulsion from Korea," Japanese Press Reports Falsehoods, 'Frown'
* clarification note: the double quotes is supposed to be the title of the Tokyo Sports article
* single quoted 'Frown' is by the Naver article author

The words that the Naver author used to paraphrase Tokyo Sports' article included 퇴출 and 추방, which in my mind, gives more of a connotation of "expulsion/deportation".

I won't translate the Naver article in its entirety, but essentially, the first few paragraphs is spent recapping what that original Tokyo Sports article said. The final paragraph of the Naver article then actually states that Korean netizens think all of this is absurd, that Juri's group Rocket Punch got several million views for their debut MV, and that Momo, Sana, and Mina maintain consistent levels of popularity. What follows are support messages for these Japanese kpop idols by presumedly Korean netizens.

I'm hesitant to make any definitive translations of the Tokyo Sports article, as my Japanese isn't quite up to par yet. But, the key word in the Japanese title is 追放, which means "banishment/deportation/expulsion." Seems a bit too sensational and controversial to me. Note, the Hanja of 추방 is the same as 追放.

Hope this clears some of that up. International fans, be careful with some of these translation sites.

Just a reminder - the knetizen article is supposed to be a translation of a Korean article, which in and of itself is a translation/paraphrase of a Japanese article. Translation is a tricky business, so be careful. These pann/nate, whatever brouhaha translation sites are not helping anyone by posting about these kinds of articles and netizen comments.

ANYWAYS, this whole thing with dragging J-line into this mess is ridiculous.
