The whole album sounds really good, but I'm feeling a little conflicted. I'm happy for the new sound and musical direction, but also wistful seeing the clear move away from the traditional and familiar Twice sound.
But MiChaeng on Trick It...

I wasn't a fan during the sixteen era, but I certainly was since debut.

I've got quite an eclectic taste in music - there isn't any one specific genre that I listen to or favor above all else. At least for me, personally, evolutions in sound are welcome. And let me just say that I am speaking generally right now, but I appreciate it when a band or a group tries to engage with at least some level of experimentation/exploration.

Part of the fun in following a kpop group closely is also being along for the ride - to see the development and maturation over time. Beginning with the end of last year and running into this year, we're seeing some change in the musical direction for Twice. I wouldn't say it's a complete 180 - I still find that their music still has that distinctive "Twice feel" to it. It's been a bit of a gradual change, and it's becoming a bit more prominent now. I will always have a special place in my heart for all of Twice's older releases, but I find myself also really enjoying their newer stuff too. I see them as two sides of the same coin. And it's not like their old albums are going away or anything. I can still listen to them at any time!
