well about those youtube views. if they really only count limited views per IP for the first 24 hours, then sooner or later fans will just learn how to change their IP every couple of streams.. the fanbase with the most hardcore fans will find their ways around the new youtube policy, and get those high 24hrs views. unless it's limited views per device rather than IP, if not then inflated youtube views will just find it's way back in the 24 hours record chart.
Actually, this Rolling Stone article is a good summary of the situation. There's no mention of the whole IP thing, which either someone misread, or has the intent to mislead. I'm pretty sure YT has an algorithm regarding views, which they don't intend to make known lest people, like you say, try to find a workaround. But it certainly won't be 1 view per IP - YT makes its money on views and ad impressions. My point though is that people have a tendency to take the things that spread on social media statements as fact. God know how many people I've told on YT comments, that no, you don't have to write v1ews and str3@m this way to prevent YT from deleting your views.

YT probably uses a technique known as device fingerprinting to identify unique devices. It is actually not new and is quite effective on devices with default settings.

Yeah, even things like your port config can be used to track you, so I always chuckle when I see those comments telling Onces to close browser and delete cache. They still haven't talk about logging off to get a new IP, and I'm not even sure if they're deleting their cookies along with their cache lol. There are a lot of skilled programmers trying to find a way to trick YT into paying more ad revenue, so Kpop fandoms aren't really a problem for YT.
