Now that Jiayu has left I’m worried about the remaining girls. I’d say anyone who joined in 2018-2019 is safe for now, but anyone who joined before (Ahn Yuna, Yunjin, Mako, Lily) is at risk of leaving the company

There’s been no hard evidence to suggest Lily left but it’s plausible. I found Jiayu’s Facebook so it’s likely she left (unless of course it isn’t her but tbh it looks a LOT like her so ) I’m worried about Lily though tbh she’s older and she’s been in JYP for longer

There are a lot of Hidden trainees, so I actually do think that there’s a Chinese female trainee.

Jia Yu leaving probably means that her contract was up and the she didn’t resign. I actually think that she’s going to Join Produce China (NingNing is rumoured to be a trainee at produce China too).

I mean I’m sad but it’s not the end of the world. If she’s happy then that’s all that matters and she could always go to another company and debut since she’s still young

yeah I think if they are debuting in 2021 this could be the start of a mass exodus of trainees like we saw in late 2017-early 2018 w Somi, Mashiro, Yejin, Hanseol, and Sunmin all leaving

I would hope so. I think the only reason they didn't have one this year because Itzy had just debuted a month ago and they wanted to focus on promoting those girls more

They didn’t have one this year because they were doing the JYP Open Audition thing where they scouted Shinyoung in February

I'm curious why Jiayu would leave now. She's a 2003 line so she still is young and has 2 more years of high school. There shouldn't be a lot of debut pressure yet.

Since she's from Taiwan it would be kind of odd to join China's Idol Producer 3. But I guess there could be a lot of reasons trainees may leave. Some of them might just decide that the idol life isn't for them and concentrate on studies. Recently a few artists (particularly with smaller companies) decide to do that even after debut. Some may get a promise from a smaller agency to debut them earlier.

With JYPE there's so much talent that goes thru their system either leaving themselves or being cut at some point. It's kind of amazing to hear about all the current idols that were around at some point EXID Hani, Chungha, AB6ix Daehwi, Everglow Aisha are just a few.

Maybe she wasn’t what they were wanting for the new girl group? I wouldn’t be surprised if they were already looking through their current batch of trainees and making some cuts. It’s a shame though because she’s so cute, pretty and talented, but hopefully she’ll join a new company and debut

Just saw that Sieun and Jiayu left

I had a feeling though since Sieun was born in 2001 and Jiayu in 2003. ITZY members are already born in 2000-2003 which the next gg's oldest member would have to be around 2003 or even younger.
