JYPNGG should follow an IZONE-type concept especially now that they sold so much physically and gain a huge number of fans upon debut. IZONE will disband the latest April 2021 if not earlier. Therefore JYPNGG should fill the VOID that will be left out by IZONE and gather those fans especially Koreans and Japanese.

I agree that this is the market JYPE will be aiming for. They have a lot of young female trainees currently and almost half of them are not Korean.

- They founded High Up Ent the company that Park Sieun went to
- They are a well known composing team in Korea. This year they did Gotta Go for Chungha and Fancy for Twice. In the past, they composed for Twice Like Ooh Ahh, Cheer Up, TT, Likey.
Omg this slay this group about yo be if this is true

I don’t recall ever seeing a financial report that stated there would be a girl band or even a vocal group. Everyone keeps bringing those up and there is literally nothing that states it was even predicted to happen. The most we heard was that there would be another girl group in 2020, but that’s obviously not happening. Also a vocal group makes 0 sense bc A) Lily is the only (current) trainee that would make sense to be in a vocal group and B) Haewon is often praised for her dance skills as well as her vocals, so it’s seems redundant to have her practice dancing if they’re just going to stick her in a group that.... doesn’t dance

I mean I always assumed vocal group meant like Sistar or MMM not literally just singing...but yeah I've never rly been convinced of jyp debuting more girls in 2020

No people are talking like 15& but a group, not a Kpop group like Twice or Itzy, at least that's what I've heard. It makes no sense anyways like I said because none of the current trainees besides Haewon and Lily would fit into that kind of group and even then I'd rather them be in a Kpop group

Hayul is also a vocal-based trainee but yeah I think Haewon has been praised too much for her dancing to not be a idol-

I'm curious what y'all mean exactly when you say Izone-type concept bc I feel like Izone's concept/appeal is very specific and made of a lot of different elements. Also you have to keep in mind that Nizi will probably also be aiming for that space in the Japanese market as well

I want them to be a smaller group, 4 - 6 members. I want them to be unique, not just created to fill the void of another group without any thought put into them. Ideally, I'd want Haewon, Hayul, Rima & Jiayu (my baby I've waited for her since 2016) + Lily M and/or Yunjin if they make it 5 or 6. The lineup with Haewon, Hayul, Rima & Jiayu is a perfect combination imo you've got 2 Korean, 2 international members, a dancer (Jiayu), a main vocal (Haewon), a lead vocal (Hayul) & a visual (Rima) (not that they'd need a visual because all 4 are stunning)

I do not think JYP will debut SMALL group since ITZY has just debuted. With the number of female trainees JYP has; not to mention their December 16 audition, JYP is gearing towards a BIGGER group. Now JYP may choose to debut a GG with an IZONE-type concept because it is TWICE-esque. You know what I mean. He will debut a GROUP THAT SELL. Regarding competing in the Japanese market, do not worry Japan is BIG enough to accommodate NIZI, JYPNGG or even ITZY in the future. Those numerous 48/46 SISTER groups co-exist and thrive in their current situation; I am sure JYP GG will too.

I don’t think JYP would care about debuting a smaller group after Itzy since they debuted miss A after Wonder Girls who were both small groups. I don’t think they necessarily have to have 9+ members to be able to sell, they just need a concept that the GP will like for them to achieve Twice status popularity

WG was more focused on becoming the top GG, hence why they had a different concept and a much cuter concept in the beginning. More groups are debuting with a small amount of members. So I actually think that JYP will debut a bigger GG

Eh idk I’d prefer them to be smaller. Smaller groups are more appealing to me plus I feel like they can be just as successful with 4 members then they could with 9 or more

I have a feeling that JYPNGG will be a BIG group and will debut in 2021. Now that Twice is leaning towards a more MATURE concept and ITZY utilizes the TEEN/GIRL Crush concept, JYPNGG will be more on the CUTE side concept-wise.

Would you think that they’ll debut through a survival show??? Except for Lily M, most of the girls aren’t that known or as popular.

Probably not. Survival shows have lost their popularity over the years and with the Produce scandal I doubt any broadcasting channel would make any survival shows for the time being. Plus also Mnet worked on both Sixteen and Stray Kids and they said they’d never do survival shows again

Oh yeah that too but didn’t MNET say that they wouldn’t make any produce survival show. They didn’t mention that they wouldn’t make any survival show at all since the Bighit survival show will still be broadcasted next year including other survival shows

I personally don't see JYP debuting a group any bigger than 9 members based on the survival shows I've seen they very much have the mindset that every member should be essential to the group and once you have more than 9 members that becomes hard to say especially since some of the trainees already have similar vibes imo for example: Shinyoung/Yunjin/Minji as girl-crush dancers. I think the group will probably be mid-sized 6-7 and be cuter and/or more feminine than Itzy but not as cute as twice, if the vocal trio all debuts I could see the group doing stuff like Dumb Dumb by Red Velvet or Dolls by 9muses

Exactly. I don't want them to be a big group just because they have a lot of trainees. Every company has a lot of trainees, it doesn't mean they have to debut as many of them as they possibly can at once. If I was to make the group 6-7 members I'd say Rima, Haewon, Hayul, Jiayu, Lily, Yunjin + Yuna if 7
