Refer to this tweet. If IZ*ONE is to disband, JYP must pounce on the opportunity to create and debut his IZ*ONE-like GG and fill the void that will be left by IZ*ONE. As I said in my previous post, SM will really push his NGG to be the next SNSD and he is timing it right now that Twice is leaning on tourings and much more active focus on Japan. SM has the trainees that may be the next Top GG after Twice.

Irregardless of what SM may do to his NGG, JYP can match or even surpass it with her current trainees. SM, BH, YG and other agencies know that if Twice is to "slow down" it will start next year. JYP must join the fray and debut his next GG as soon as possible and take advantage of "Twice privilege" while they are still on top. ITZY has gained that privilege that is why they are MONSTER ROOKIES right now.

For me it is critical for JYP to debut his NGG and continue his chain of HUGE GG. He can choose to debut another BG why not. This maybe the reason that they will hold auditions on December 16. It is beneficial for JYP to have the next BIG GG. IT may be ITZY it may be not. ITZY was formed to compete with RV and BP and tap the market that was not tapped by Twice.

I understand where you're coming from and it makes more sense to debut them before the boy group, I just don't see it happening, unless of course, they debut both in the same year as SM are doing with their new boy group and girl group next year.

Apparently Rima is a rapper! Makes sense since her dad is a famous rapper in Japan :wow:
OMG If that’s the case then she’s gonna spit fire. Her dad is an actual amazing rapper

“No trainee contracts can exceed 3 years without offering trainees a chance to debut or an opportunity to find a new agency”

A new regulation with contracts. This means Lily M, Yunjin & Jiayu have exceeded the contract and will either leave or be given the opportunity to resign and debut 3 years from now, which will be by 2022. By then, Lily will have been in JYP for 7 years and Jiayu/Yunjin will have been in JYP for 6

Omg then that means that one of the 3 girls can leave anytime?

You are assuming this works retroactively which we don't know. Did they make current contracts void? Are they grandfathering the old contracts in? There needs to be way more information here. What is the current contract situation with any of the trainees? Also it doesn't mention that the trainees can't resign with their current agency if they so wish. So there could be no change at all for JYP. I can see several girls still thinking their best chance of a successful debut is with JYP and staying longer than 3 years.

It's a good thing for the most part for trainees so they can move on with their lives if they feel the company isn't giving them a fair chance, but afaik JYP has never been stingy with trainees. They let them leave if they want and even help them get into other companies. This is gonna affect the other companies way more imo. For JYP I don't see much changing.

I didn’t want to assume but I just guessed that all trainees would resign with the new 3 year contract and if it runs out, they have the choice themselves to renew with jyp hence why they said give them an opportunity to leave for another company, that’s not outright saying they HAVE to. The contract supposedly started in September and we haven’t heard of any departures so far, so safest bet would be that the current trainees who joined before the new contract will have nullified their previous contracts for the new 3 year one

Anyways this is beneficial because it means that once the 3 year contract runs out which will be 2022; assuming that all of the trainees, new and old, signed the new 3-year contract, JYP will likely debut a new girl group by 2022 or even 2021 if we’re lucky

That means that the only trainee we known off that is an 01 liner is Mako. I have a feeling that this GG oldest members will be 02 or 03 liners.

Sieun mentioned a couple of times that she wanted to debut in a group, seems like she chose the acting path and I wish her the best!

what will happen to lily M??? I’m so curious to know

I have a feeling Lily might be the oldest and leader. Youngest will probably be an 06 liner

Sieun stuck around after not making the Itzy cut but with the JYPE acting division re-org I guess it made sense to move on and not wait as a 2001 line for next debut group.

Wouldn’t Lily be a main vocal candidate for the next group? She’s still got another year of high school so probably not quite as much debut pressure yet. I think trainees that graduate feel much more anxious to debut without having the daily regiment in their lives.

I'd say main vocal candidates are Lily M and Haewon

Yunjin is a high contender as well it seems. Apparently she has a lot of stage presence and is multi-talented

Honestly I’d say all of them are high contenders. They’re all really pretty and talented plus the next group will probably be bigger which means more spots for trainees to take up. I don’t think many will agree with me but I like the idea of them being a smaller group, 4 members similar to Miss A. I’d go with Haewon, Hayul, Rima & Jiayu if it was 4
