debuting a nine-member bubblegum pop group with three Japanese members sounds like a good way to get your group massacred on debut, maybe if they debuted in 2025... but 2021-22 is way too soon for such an obvious replacement even if Twice were to disband tomorrow. There's a reason SM just now might debut a big gg years after snsd, it's not just about comparisons it's about your image as a company that can come up with original ideas and respect your iconic artists.
That being said I do agree that there will be a need to fill the "twice-gap" but I think 6-7 members is much more likely if I were to guess rn I'd say
-Lily M (Main vocalist, leader, English speaker)
-Haewon (Lead vocalist, visual)
-Hayul (Vocalist)
-Shinyoung (Main Dancer, possible rapper)
-Jiayu (Lead Dancer, visual, Mandarin speaker)
-Rima (visual, Japanese speaker)
-Yunjin (Dancer)
(Although, guessing the line-up at this stage just throwing spaghetti at the wall) Previously I thought 2021 before Izone's disbandment would be the perfect time but now with Izone's disbandment up in the air it's a little more unpredictable, but I don't think any earlier than 2021. Concept-wise they won't be girl crush because of Itzy but they won't be color-pop either... I think a pure concept like Lovelyz or sassy-vocal based group are the 2 main possibilities I can think of rn, given that smngg is debuting in 2020 the final concept will be at least somewhat in reaction to them.
Also, I still wouldn't entirely rule out the possibility of the Japanese trainees debuting with Nizi bc it's clear that some changes are being made to the original concept (we were supposed to be introduced to the contestants in October and now it's December 1st) so it's possible that they could decide to include trainees not cast in the audition. I really hope this is the case bc I don't see Mako debuting under JYP otherwise :/

JYP & SM stan. SR20G JYP20G enthusiastI don’t see it either tbh, I really would like it if Mako could debut with NIZI. But 2025 is a HUUGE GAP. SM is debuting their GG aka their Next SNSD because They were waiting for twice peak to die down (which is slowly happening). They did this the same way they did previously to push SNSD. They waited for WG (wonder girls) to not be in S.korea for a long time and to slowly lose popularity and then they released GEE, which shoved WG down under. Looking at these girls faces, they’ll put out Smt similar to SNSD and or RV red side. If JYP waits till 2025, Twice will be 10 Years old and ITZY will be 6 Years old. SM would have debuted another GG by that time too (a 5 year gap between SMNGG2020, and 2025).debuting a nine-member bubblegum pop group with three Japanese members sounds like a good way to get your group massacred on debut, maybe if they debuted in 2025... but 2021-22 is way too soon for such an obvious replacement even if Twice were to disband tomorrow. I beg to disagree that Twice is starting to slow down as evident with their physical sales both in Sk and Japan. Now regarding JYPNGG facing the dilemma of what concept to use, I think they should go for the concept utilized by IZ*ONE. They can fill the void soon to be left behind by IZ*ONE. A VOCAL JYP GG is rumored to debut next year, then a 2021 debut is a must. By that time Twice will cut down on comebacks and focus more on tourings and Japan promos.

We have to put into consideration that JYP will debut a boy group first and they held auditions for their next boy group quite recently, similar to the auditions they held for the new girl group (now Itzy) in 2017, 2 years before their debut - so it's likely that the next group will be a boy group in 2021, followed by a girl group in 2022I beg to disagree that Twice is starting to slow down as evident with their physical sales both in Sk and Japan. It isn't absolutely guaranteed that JYPE will debut another boy group first. Their business analysts will probably look at the landscape and see which one is more viable. They also have an idea of which group of trainees are more ready and more marketable as well. Factor in the greater success that they've had managing girl groups as well.
Twice's contracts are up in 2022 and even if they re-sign they'll likely change the manner in which they do business. They may be interested in doing some passion solo/sub-unit projects and not go along with the same grind with 3 or 4 comebacks a year. It makes sense for the company to have a new girl group ready to compete with SMNGG and Big Hit NGG.

Realistically speaking the boy group is going to debut first, regardless of whether or not the girl groups are more successful. I'd prefer the girl group to come sooner rather than later, but it isn't likely going to happen until the boys have debuted firstAnd there isn’t any mention of a Boygroup except of a second DAY6,

Seems like Rima and Haewon are the most popular trainees among Knetz at the moment. Most of them want to see both girls debut together

JYP should debut his NGG the soonest. SMNGG will debut next year and BHNGG and/or YGNGG by 2021. He can choose to debut next year and give SMNGG a good competition for ROTY and avoid losing potential trainees like Lily M. The problem though is the group will be debuting just a year after ITZy and he will be debuting 2 groups in 2020, 2nd Chinese BG and NIZI. It would be too costly if he debuts another one not knowing if the 2 international groups will pan out; not to mention if SKz and ITZY will blow up.
Now if the group debuts in 2021, it will go up against BHNGG and YGNGG. The question is: What if PD Bang ask JYP to defer his NGG from debuting and put it by 2022? We know they are bestfriends. What if SMNGG blew up and became the next SNSD? JYP will be up against stiffer competition.
JYP must play his cards right. He would not want anyone from SMNGG, BHNGG, YGNGG or from other agencies will become the top GG after Twice. The soonest he releases his NGG the better before Twice 6th/7th year. The soonest his NGG mark their feet in the industry the better. The group should be ready to take the reign from Twice. This group and ITZY will dominate KPOP GGs.

2022 seems more appropriate to me. Twice’s contract renewal will be up, Itzy will have been active for 3 years & the current batch of trainees will be, for the majority, in their late teens, early adult years. A new boy group will debut in 2021 to compensate for the potential loss of Got7, followed by a girl group for the same reason with Twice a year later. There’s no rush to come out with them, especially since Twice’s hype won’t be dying down anytime soon and will continue to rise leading up to their contract renewal as well.

JYP & SM stan. SR20G JYP20G enthusiastYou do Realise that if one member leaves that JYP will be in a huge problem??? Investors won’t be interested and they’ll not put their money into the agency. let’s not forget by the time TWICE got their NGG tittle that they actually didn’t had any “real competition”. Red Velvet wasn’t the actual Main GG of SM. And YG didn’t debut his SNSD Girl group, the company debuted BlackPink instead.
SMNGG is going to be the main gg of SM, they are going to push the girls to become the next top GG. BHNGG will be the same, BigHit will push them to become the #1 GG of the 4th Generation. And let’s not forget other GG’s that might debut (like YGNGG which is his actualYG version of SNSD). Smaller Agencies have a higher chance to become the top group too (look at BTS for example).
for JYP, it won’t be smart for them to debut a Boygroup. Their recent new Boygroup StrayKids isn’t even as popular as ITZY while they debuted a year later then StrayKids and have surpassed them in terms of Popularity. Debuting another Boygroup isn’t really benefiting as another GirlGroup. JYP should be prepared for the worst coming. SM didn’t prepare and it took a huge blast into their GG Empire

Okay but Jessica left SNSD abruptly, it wasn't because she didn't resign. And it's stupid to compare both groups anyways because there's no way of knowing that any of the members will leave. As for the other companies' groups, they'll still have to go head-on with established groups such as Twice, Red Velvet and Blackpink, which in itself will be hard for them to overtake. I don't know how else to tell you, but it's pretty obvious the boy group is going to debut first, regardless of whether or not we want them toYou do Realise that if one member leaves that JYP will be in a huge problem??? Refer to this tweet. If IZ*ONE is to disband, JYP must pounce on the opportunity to create and debut his IZ*ONE-like GG and fill the void that will be left by IZ*ONE. As I said in my previous post, SM will really push his NGG to be the next SNSD and he is timing it right now that Twice is leaning on tourings and much more active focus on Japan. SM has the trainees that may be the next Top GG after Twice.
Irregardless of what SM may do to his NGG, JYP can match or even surpass it with her current trainees. SM, BH, YG and other agencies know that if Twice is to "slow down" it will start next year. JYP must join the fray and debut his next GG as soon as possible and take advantage of "Twice privilege" while they are still on top. ITZY has gained that privilege that is why they are MONSTER ROOKIES right now.
For me it is critical for JYP to debut his NGG and continue his chain of HUGE GG. He can choose to debut another BG why not. This maybe the reason that they will hold auditions on December 16. It is beneficial for JYP to have the next BIG GG. IT may be ITZY it may be not. ITZY was formed to compete with RV and BP and tap the market that was not tapped by Twice.
