I have never seen it before, but I have been on the internet, so I've seen some clips from it over the years; I did not expect first season to go as it did I didn't think the moon princess will show up that early lol I thought we will see her later on. But it's fun, I enjoy it a lot so far

I love Sailor Moon art! I really wanted to like the anime but I failed to with my multiple attempts I made my last attempt over the weekend with SM Crystal; I still couldn't do it even after watching 2 seasons on 2x speed

Did you enjoy season 1 or did you not like it either? Coz I agree with the sentiment that season 2 is just
I honestly really liked the first 13 ep with An and Ail; they were fun and I enjoyed their interactions with each other and the girls. I had high hopes for the rest of the season after their story finished, but MY GOD the way I was skipping thought the rest of it. I could not give a flying fuck about Chibi-usa and Usagi's and Mamoru's relationship bullshit. From 29 episodes of this arc there 6 that are good imo and 4 of them aren't even about any of the sailor scouts, they are villain centered episodes The other 2 are strangely both Ami episodes lol

There is only one thing that that arc gave us - Black Lady. I love her design so much, if only instead of the whole Chibi-usa mess we would get her as the new villain and some good story

Also Sailor Moon R movie is alright? Like it's better than 2/3 of 2nd season, but it's not as good as season 1 + beginning of s2. It's hilarious to me they didn't bother making a new villain character for it, they just used Ail and changed his name sdfghjk Tho this movie has one scenes which was weird af - the bad guy grabbed Usagi's brooch and then for no reason she became naked and it looked like he was just grabbing her breats :Slime: Like wtf was that

Anyway ... I will attempt watching s3 ... But if it's just as bad as s2, I'll just pretend SM only has 59 episodes lol

Well, I watched SM Crystal which is a newer remake, so there weren't An and Ail. My first story arc was Dark Kingdom, so it's Queen Metalia, Beryl and the 4 knights who were brainwashed. I couldn't handle SM crying all the time, that's why I can never go past the first 1-2 eps before. Now that I was willing to overlook the crying, I still find it annoying that she needed saving from Tuxedo Mask EVERY SINGLE TIME and to make it worse, he doesn't even have magical power at those times. I also don't care about Usagi's and Mamoru's relationship. Tbh, it makes me mad that in the past life, Usagi kills herself after Mamoru die protecting her so that she lives! If I sacrifice myself to save someone, I would very much appreciate it if that someone doesn't kill themselves right after. Usagi tried to do the same time in the present timeline again but she is alive because the sword hit the watch or something (I think this scene wasn't in the version you watched but it was in the manga and SM crystal)

I agree that Black Lady and Chibi-usa should be different characters. It's really weird that Chibi-usa is Usagi and Mamoru's daughter but Black Lady made out with Mamoru twice! I don't know what mangaka was on when she is writing these stories. I also can't understand why SM is being jealous and insecure of her daughter clinging onto Mamoru... like gurl, it's your daughter, it's impossible for them to be together! And then BL and Mamoru happened... I- I just can't win, I give up :Slime:

I somehow had a feeling An and Ail might be 90's anime characters only and weren't actually in the manga while I was watching those episodes sksk But they are my fave villains, so I'd like to thank whoever came up with them lol

Yeah, she doesn't try nor actually kills herself in both past and present; in the past they both got killed at the same time and in the present she's just sad and doesn't want to fight anymore

Usagi being jealous of Chibi-usa really was so weird and annoying. I don't know when they learn she is their daughter in the manga/crystal, since in the old ver they only learn that close to the end, but her being a small child should be enough of a reason for SM to not be jealous, like girl, I know 90's Mamoru likes his girls young since he's a uni student dating a 14yo, but I'm pretty sure 5-7 years old is too young even for him!

So far season 3 is great tbh, so for now it seems like I might watch the 90s version fully and then based on my very in depth posts in this thread cough you could decide if you want to give it another try

It was really good I liked the new characters they introduced (especially Haruka ) and even ended up really liking Chibiusa this time around - making her few years older was a great idea. Her useless magic wand music is gonna be stuck in my head for days to come


I'm not gonna be the only one with it stuck in my head
I'm glad that loosing few braincells on s2 was worth it

Also, Sailor Moon S movie was fun Much better than the first one and Luna had such a cute faces in it~

I remember like... a decade ago or so, it was basically impossible to listen to these sort of things through official means. I guess I got used to that and so I stopped trying to search for the songs since the quality usually wasn't worth the effort. It's crazy what they have on Spotify! What a win for us.
