(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon Talks Juggling Songwriting And Team Schedule, Group Reveals Their 2019 Goals​

In an interview with Star News released on January 25, (G)I-DLE talked about their achievements over the past year after their May debut with “LATATA” as well as their goals for 2019.

(G)I-DLE won the rookie award at the 2018 Asia Artist Awards alongside IZ*ONE, Stray Kids, and The Boyz. Soojin said, “We’re so happy and thankful for receiving the rookie award. We always say this, but Soyeon always works so hard. She composes and writes lyrics, and she also has a large responsibility as the leader of the group. Thank you for always taking care of us. Of course, thank you to the members, as well.”

Soyeon, asked if it’s not difficult juggling songwriting as well as team promotions, said, “I was interested in music from a young age. I even went to a music academy. Honestly, when writing songs, it’s stressful if it doesn’t come easy, but it’s even more stressful if I’m not writing songs. No matter what I do, I want to express what I feel, and when I’m writing songs, it relieves stress, since I’m writing what I’m thinking and imagining. That kind of process isn’t difficult.”
