i made an account here just to talk about this.... on the topic of veneers.... SEUNGKWAN GOT VENEERS this is like homerun era hoshi's chompers all over again. fortunately hoshi got his reworked so i have hope that seungkwan might fix his at some point as well





not to be weird and parasocial but this actually made me so sad. we need to talk more about how jarring it is to see a face the same way for years and years and have it suddenly change so drastically, when it was completely fine to begin with

Yeah his nose bridge has more taper now and he has a more prominent and smaller nose tip. His nose is also suddenly upturned when it never was before, but it's not the first time his nose has changed. He's been steadily getting closer to the kbs ideal nose over the last few years. I also noticed that he wasn't in the Nectar MV much, which seems to be IST's move when one of their idols gets noticeable work done. He had like 2 split second 1-shots in the whole MV and you can't really see his nose in any of them lmao. They did the same thing with Juyeon when he first got that controversial nosejob.

He kind of looks like he was put through an alpha face filter in the concept photos for this era lmao

Here's a timestamp of their MV making where you can see his profile. I think contour noona is working overtime on him and making the changes extra apparent on their music show stages so far.

I don't see why not. It's not like veneers are plastic surgery technically. Just the same ballpark of discussion.

That being said does anyone know what the deal is with people saying Wonbin is lying about his height? Like he does look shorter than the others so it's not like they're doing a particularly good job of hiding it, and I've never actually seen him claim to be a certain height?

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that with SM, you should almost ALWAYS assume an idol is actually shorter than they say they are (the only exception to this I can think of is Johnny who everyone seems to agree is taller than what they claim he is).

I saw WayV at KCON and there is no way Ten/hendrey/xiaojun/Yangyang are taller than 5’5-5’6 (which I think is around 168-170cm?)

Especially since I think Taemin is genuinely 174cm tall, they claim Ten is 173cm tall which would make them around the same height? But Ten is visibly a chunk shorter than Taemin (so my guess for Ten is 169-170, which I think they did originally claim at debut?)

Yes Riize Wonbin, I kept seeing clickbait AI generated youtube content about how he was lying lol but then I looked and he doesn't have an official height or anything?

SM aren't quite as bad as YG was with Bigbang but they do always seem to be adjusting the numbers and even then still having the shortest idols. Red Velvet confused me the most because I didn't know people would even care if Wendy was 5'1" or 5'3" for example like why even put out the fake numbers.

I would have to say squarer jaws take the cake for me, because in male idols' case, most V-shaped faces are artificial and round faces are a result of overfilling. Like, the other day I saw a TikTok saying Bang Chan and Wonho were twins, and they're a great example of a wide natural bone structure vs. a V-line jaw shave, and that surgery is all I can think about when I see Wonho's face

agree that the whitewashing and just overall terrible editing in these press photos is likely contributing to the reaction to their faces. i think chenle’s face has always been on the angular side and he’s prone to getting particularly gaunt during promos. sharp ass cheekbones. as for rj… i do think it’s a combination of fillers and perhaps hormonal(?) bloating. i know his official statement is weight gain from eating ‘school food’ (a popular restaurant chain in korea) but idk i feel like anyone can tell that simple weight gain doesn’t look like that in the face + he’s super tiny for a guy of his height already. and filler face is pretty distinctive. it’s tough bc admitting to cosmetic procedures isn’t something they can do outright but at the same time blaming it on food is also like… and clearly it’s been affecting his self esteem & put him on the defensive with how often he’s been addressing it lately :/ i feel like maybe his body just metabolizes filler poorly and he’s prone to bloating (in the face) ?

i didn't notice this before but Julie's face when she talks/in motion is quite... off? idk how to describe it but with Natty i'm like "yeah looks like she had some works done" and with Julie i'm like "oh yeah she's defo had some works done". Belle's nose suits her but idk why they made it so "tight" looking like that. i hope Haneul won't feel pressured to have plump lips, i think her thin lips like rn suit her features very much. oh and Midas Touch is such a bop!
