Whoa they're literally unrecognizable! I'm a fan of these two and I still literally wouldn't have recognized them without those comparison shots. I know he’s had quite a bit of work done since debuting in ZB1, but a lot of it is also makeup as well. I have friends who are into ZB1 and when they share pictures of him I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much contour and makeup on a person before in my life, but Chinese/routine makeup has been trending overseas and Ricky is pretty much being pushed as the poster boy for douyin makeup right now. Douyin makeup can get really extreme to where you can’t recognize a person with or without makeup and they are pushing that image on him.
I also don’t know if this makes sense, but Ricky and his plastic surgery reminds me a lot of Felix and his surgeries. I thought Felix was fine before, but everyone kept saying how Felix was so cute like a real life fairy and stuff so JYP did everything in their power to keep giving him surgeries to keep up his cute persona. Now Ricky’s in the same situation, I thought he was fine before but people kept saying Ricky looked like an irl Douyin comic character and now his company is pushing surgeries and makeup on him to keep up that comic appearance.
