Huh so what are the rest of EXO members doing?? So one part is receiving and the other part is not receiving..??
2. [+110, -3]
It's not SM who made NCT refuse gifts, they consulted among themselves and they said they won't receive them
3. [+84, -5]
Even during fansigns, NCT refuses gifts...So they receive nothing but lettersㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
4. [+49, -2]
Why are they in the same group yet some receive and some don't??
5. [+44, -11]
So in one team, they're dividing who receive and who don't receive giftsㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Good for them, I remember a couple years ago seeing these crazy piles of expensive birthday gifts for some idols and tbh it felt kinda iffy to me somehow.
BTS
LurkerFan gifts have caused a lot of controversies in the past
Plus you cant gift or donate them to other people or fans will say you’re ungrateful like what are you supposed to do with all these duplicates and clothes you’ll never wear
Jungkook for example was gifted a gold bar and 10 iphone X’s it was getting ridiculous

Small groups may be grateful but big groups will receive too many gifts to even keep track of. It's better when the fans spend money on things like donations and reforestation/protecting endangered species.

these idols are smart as shit, fangifts have sometimes caused controversy. especially when the entitled stan see the fangift on a family member or gf/bf. That's pretty much the best thing to do.

Really glad the JYPE has made the "no gift" policy standard for all their groups.
All my favourite groups are on the list
It's better this way. Some fans can be really clingy and they always throw a fuss when they see their gifts (like clothes) being used by other members.
And they spend way too much on their gifts. If I were an idol I'd feel guilty all the time lol

It's best to spend that money in donations on behalf of the artists to worthy causes.

This is for the best.
It's really for the best - there's no way that the artists even have the room for all of the stuff they would be receiving from fans, let alone have time to actually use every single thing. And no artist would want to be caught discarding fan gifts, either.
I always like to see fans come together and donate to various charities in their bias's name. Like I think once I saw some LOONA fans pool their money to "adopt" an endangered owl for either Kim Lip's birthday or a debut anniversary, and I've seen other groups' fans donate to children's hospitals and similar organizations. That way the money is going to a really great cause and nobody has to feel awkward.

Good on them. The fans's money can be used on something better if they want to show their appreciation to their idols. Such as donating to charity, planting a tree..etc
