right lol if it wasn't for the living arrangement i'd be rather quick to dismiss the whole thing because ww barely ever pings me. he has his moments but he's so reserved i can't get a proper read on him and kinda default to straight, i suppose. then again, in a conservative country like SK and with how ruthless their netizens may be, the public persona isn't always a reliable gauge. which is why most people i know think i'm straight besides, ww has a history of being super uncomfortable with shippers and somewhat vocal about it in the early years, and then boom. and wasn't he actually the one who broke the news re: new apartment, too?

Happy to see Nam Yoonsu number 1 after Love in the Big City. Kwon Hyuk also shows that perhaps acting in gay stories does have some reach into queer communities.

But who I REALLY want to talk about is Dohoon. He’s even higher than Shinyu who always seems to be the most popular member of TWS. What I find funny is I saw some videos of him around their comeback time and I totally was getting “vibes” from him but I can’t figure out why.

So I wonder if I’m seeing characteristics that aren’t really there are I just have the same taste as gay Korean men. Or both lol.

I think they're mostly popular in Korea and their fandom leans pretty young I'd imagine. They've been charting really well on Circle (though I think Hybe is probably giving them a bump lmao)

I think Dohoon has a visual that's getting very popular with the queer community in Korea, while Shinyu has a look that was already popular with them. I don't know when the polling for this started and finished but there's a scene in their new MV that reads very much like unrequited romance between them. Kind of similar to those Day6 MVs where Wonpil seems like he has a unrequited crush on Sungjin. I watched their content a bit but the only one who pinged for me was Jihoon. Dohoon seems a little too invested in being the good boy, perfect center idol right now to get much of any vibe from him right now.

This ended up blowing up and everyone caught onto it, even the OP of the meme tweeted about how he is shocked to see how Beomgyu knows about a phrase/meme that is only known on the gay side of Korean Twitter.

Yeah i remember this and it has swayed me a bit on him but also I think the idea that there's no way he'd know the meme if he wasn't gay isn't a given. He definitely seems a little terminally online in general and since idols are popular in the queer community it's not that weird for them to wind up scrolling around in it tbh.

Also I got the impression that Soobin knew the meme too. Taehyun does seem like he's just going along with it though.
