I wanted a Keqing skin. The Jean skin wasn't the best, It's Keqing or nothing.
I guess that my Keqing skin fund will go unspent for two more months.

I feel like they're hiding something and want to bait as many people to pull for Baal only for everyone to be broke for the anniversary. Praying they don't drop some surprise banner for the anniversary

I'd love to be proven wrong but I really think that was it. A lot of people are really disappointed about how lackluster the anniversary patch is, and tbh, I don't even blame them. And to make things worse, Kokomi's banner is the one that falls during the anniversary and everything that's been leaked about her kit makes it seem like she's actually gonna be one of the weakest 5* units yet.

So the freemogem codes tonight pushed my Baal funds to about 50-ish wishes. I'll hit soft pity in about 15 pulls, so she's basically guaranteed at this point

I just looked up the Honkai 1-year anniversary and it was honestly worse sdjsjjsj
They only got like 5 pulls worth of gems, but got two S-rank characters instead. One full character, and another you needed to collect fragments for to activate.
I just wanted a new skin for this patch. I guess they'll be releasing those for the filler patches instead though.

I'm not 100% sure if I'll be rolling for Kokomi rn, bc Albedo is right around the corner and I'm trying to recover funds for Baizhu & Scaramouche/Ayato as well.

I'll probably wait for 2.2 leaks before deciding though. I'll be pulling for male four stars after 2.1 is over with. Mihoyo is really testing my patience with Thoma. I have his weapon & all of his available mats ready and waiting, but there's still no sign of him.

If I don't pull for her now, then there's always the Kokomi re-run next year

Baal's release means that my dreams of running a mono-electro aoe team will finally be complete. Probs won't be her best team but I think It'll be fun. Keqing / Beidou / Baal + a flex (probably Kazuha or Sara) Also, her consistent aoe attacks will be a good way to boost Keqing's damage. All I want is an electro healer... No signs of that anytime soon (unless it's Lisa w/ Prototype Amber sjdjksjdj)

I wonder if they'll be altering electro reactions anytime soon
Though if they did then Beidou would be one of the most broken characters in the game. I mean, her multipliers are already insane. Just buff Keqing instead sjjdsjj

I also ended up looking over everything I've pre-farmed for 2.1 and I'll be needing upwards of 50% more EXP books to get both Sara and Baal to level 80. I currently have enough to get only Baal to just below level 70, so I think I might have to hold off on levelling Sara immediately. It'll be blue EXP ley-lines all week for me! I'm still salty about Mihoyo region-locking all the new bosses again until 2.1.

Meanwhile, why do I feel like a Scaramouche banner will be dropping any minute now? His English VA is fantastic! JP was meh, CN was nice bc it's Aether's VA ~
I finally get to meet him for the first time! 2.1 will give me upwards of 60 pulls, so I should be able to try and 50/50 whoever drops in 2.2 (Scaramouche or Albedo pls). Though if it's another set of waifu banners, without any Thoma/Gorou, then it'll be a hard skip!

I feel like Thoma's local ascension mats are locked in one of the currently unknown regions, or they're saving him for Ayato.

I wanted Qiqi for the longest time too. Then I got her, but can't build her until after 2.1 drops


She's sitting at level 50 rn and I keep having to convince myself that I'll build her after Baal.

Her burst looks really appealing to me w/ the off-field atk based healing


I imagine that a number of people don't want her to ruin their pity again with her sub-par cons

I think most people don't want her because even though she's a 5*, she has been power crept by Diona who offers a lot more than she does. Qiqi heals a lot more than Diona can, but we don't have any content at the moment that requires that amount of healing unless someone is just really, really bad at dodging enemy attacks. Diona offers decent healing, great shield support that's probably only 2nd to Zhongli and undeniably better constellations (which doesn't say a lot when Qiqi has arguably the worst cons in the entire game), especially the EM boost she gives at C6. Even with the subpar anniversary awards, all it would have taken was Mihoyo announcing changes to the standard banner (including removing Qiqi from it and replacing her with someone good like Albedo) to get players a bit more excited.

Fully prepared to get cucked by Mihoyo for saying that when I end up losing 50-50 on Baal's banner and get spooked by Qiqi. When it eventually happens, I'm not even gonna bother wasting resources to build her until there's content that actually requires her healing capabilities.
