according to the interview, he got married really early. His wife is running HF music, while he runs dcc and d1ce ent. but i think the wife is also the cfo in dcc & d1ce ent according to album credit. the curious thing is hfe has been in the business for so long, but the company doesn't seem to have good industry networks, because their artists lack variety, drama, ost opportunities.

dsp should have hired an outside ceo to take over instead of trying to keep it within the family and become mismanaged. but i think it's a little better now. april's domestic popularity is good.

DSP is privately owned so when CEO Lee became incapacitated, the company became property of his wife. She decided she would head the company instead of hiring an outside CEO and hired their daughter to work there too. She fired everyone loyal to her husband (i.e. all the experienced people, that's why one of them started B2M Entertainment and Nicole signed there after leaving Kara since the CEO was Kara's original manager) and hired new people who didn't know what they were doing. That's what caused the payment dispute with Kara, they straight up weren't giving them an answer when the girls were asking how they were being paid.

Ms. Choi isn't well liked in Korea either. She's very greedy in general (why else would you purchase a building outright and then charge rent to the company you own taking investor's money?) and DSP's current situation is that I think some of those people at the company have experience now so it helps. And I honestly think that KARD's success is mainly due to BM tapping into the international fan base early on. That's probably also why when all 4 were asked who'd be successful as a solo he made a circle saying all of them and the other 3 all pointed at him.

Does Krystal even have a fandom name? lol I'm still trying to figure out how to pronounce qrystalz...
Also, this is a cute interview with Rolling Quartz that has English subtitles. I guess Jayoung and Yeong Eun have been friends for at least 9 years.

I was laughing so hard when Hyunjung said she wanted to collaborate with IU and Jayoung said if IU does vocal what do I do? Are you going to leave me out? lol Can't help but think you might be more interested if IU was main vocal Frost, lol

haha actually i'm neutral on iu as well, but if luna was the main vocal, i'd stan them immediately.
if RQ has a rock song that's similar to break the wall or amor fati's say the word, then i might look into them more.

I didn't think of reading it that way. I was trying to read it as a cute version of quartz and crystals meshed together which sounded weird. That makes a lot more sense though, lol

Not sure they're quite at either of those songs yet, but I think they'll get there. There are some nice soft parts in Blaze and they have some short bass and guitar solos in it as well. They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary on August 22 and I feel like they keep getting better. Plus the more I get to see their personalities, the more I like them and their group dynamic.

If you haven't heard Blaze, I'd suggest giving it a listen. That's what got stan Twitter to notice them. They have 8.5K subs now on You Tube, hopefully they'll get to 10K before the end of the year.
