SM never gave a reason.

Given the number of advertisements with Joy that have come out lately (e.g., Calvin Klein) I'd speculate she had some photoshoot or other commercial-related scheduling conflict.

It is so nice to see Wendy in all these shows --- she is appears to be gaining more confidence and exuberance. Hopefully her MBTI "I" turns into an "E". I think she wants that.
