Odd but not surprising that no one tried to preserve it for the actual future.
My mother says that the replacement "Adventures Thru Inner Space" was pretty cool. They made you think you were slowly shrinking smaller and smaller. Very effective as she recalls. She remembers it was there in the 80s still.
