i'm watching but i keep getting behind by 3 eps lmao
i've already kinda spoiled myself on rankings and the like, so im just watching for leisure now, i'm a bit afraid for some of my favs, but most of them are well so far

I swore off these shows after Produce 101 China, but....here I am back again. Promising myself not to develop attachments, let's see how that turns out.
I'm super entertained by this season, there's such a variety of funny characters. Yvonne, Zhang Yu, Esther, Shaking, Babymonster, Xiao Tang, Frahnm, Chen Jue etc. Overall skill level is pretty solid too. I just watched The Coming One s3 and the consistency of the judging on this show is now such a welcomed breath of fresh air, thank the lord. My complaints so far, the transitions and editing is sometimes confusing. And some of these song choices, ie the cutesy ones, I don't understand how they showcase the trainees' vocal or dance ability. Just not for me, but I get it, it's popular.

Hmm...this clip didn't really make me want to watch the show. Why'd they pick trainees who dont have much talent. Not much promise that the performances or the final group can be taken too seriously. I get enjoying watching trainwrecks, but it's a little sad and seems like the celebrity judges are just laughing at them.

Trainee quality does look a bit lower but I think I'll keep and eye on them anyway. That preview might be from introductions.

My prediction of debut- Esther, Kiki, Xin Liu, Shaking, Babymonster, Snow. Slightly less certain but still making my prediction list- Xiaotang, Yuyan.
Last spot- no clear lead yet, I'd guess between Sharon, Aria, maaaybe Joey. Personally would prefer Jenny or Yvonne but I don't think they have much of a shot.

I always tell myself to steel my heart going into these shows, but sometimes there's just nothing you can do. I actually don't remember her in pd 101 and considering her voice became my fav here, she definitely improved. She would do really well for drama osts if this doesn't work out.I haven't searched up spoilers. Prefer to think no one is eliminated for a few more days lol

I do slightly remember her from P101, since her and my top pick Zixuan were close from being on Girls Fighting together. She was a very solid trainee on stage and had a good voice.Her voice is my favorite in the show. I am sad they didn't showcase it

It gets better eventually... And maybe you'll end up seeing them again on another produce season.I think the problem in China is that there's not much of a platform or space for idol promotion. So there are these shows like cz101 or ywy which do get very popular and reach mainstream consciousness. But the group can't easily translate that interest and popularity into their music and post show promotions to the level of success that Korean versions have. Not to mention, I don't even think the managing companies seem to have much interest investing and having quality promotions for the final groups. I think they just want to make fast and easy money. Idols really have to join variety shows or dramas just to stay relevant because there aren't a lot of good stage opportunities. So on the one hand, I think that these shows are sustainable because there's no immediate risk of overcrowding the idol market. On the other hand, it means success in China as an idol is so so so difficult to obtain and even harder to sustain.
