Are we really not gonna talk about how Twice Fancy looked shit compared to that new Itzy MV? Are we really not gonna take any action, to at least show JYP our dissatisfaction? I suggested to make some spam campaign but no one shows interest. Are we just gonna watch Twice fade?
All JYPE groups first half of 2019 mvs were looking cheap and forgettable, including Dalla Dalla tbh (maybe not on Fancy level of cheapness but still). So I guess in order to make a fair comparison we should wait for TWICE's autumn MV, I really hope it will be better.
Plus, ICY is JYPE production and we all know what that means in terms of budget.

Well if Itzy gets cheapass MV in 3 years and I'll be their fan, I'll complain as well. If this is JYP strategy of cutting spendings for all groups once they hit 3 years, I'll complain as well. So what's your point? Now you made your comparison, let me make mine. BigBang FB - 5 years since debut, BigBang BBB, 7 years since debut, SNSD - IGAB - 5 years since debut. BTS - Fake Love, Idol - 5 years since debut. Now lets pretend this shit is normal just because Twice are 3 years old group
lol. Itzy is a new group - it's inevitable that they'll invest to promote a new group. Trust me, 4 years down the line, when groups try to make more money than they spend, it will be different. No point comparing the two. Besides, Kpop fans used to think that shooting on sets = expensive, while shooting on location = cheap. Things change. Can't please everyone. Also, if you think Twice is fading, you must be following a different group than I am.
Good luck with your spam campaign, though.
Twice is not fading but will soon, with this management.

Ah yes...cheapass MV...cause they managed to recently bring the cost of production vs revenue down from 60% to +45%. Let me make it clearer...45%-60% of their album sales goes towards MV and production cost. This is before payout to composers and songwriters, before profit-sharing with JYPE. Sure, let's spend lavishly on expensive MVs so fans like you can brag about it and feel good about stanning "the top girl group", while the girls take a fraction of it all home. Sure, let's compare Twice, who generate 350K sales per comeback with BTS, who sell millions. Or BB, whose concert attendance per tour in typically over 1 million. Makes a lot of sense to me, comparing their spending levels.
In any case, not everyone has issues with the MV. And Twice fading? You're a little late to the game - Twice has been flopping since 2015.

What ass are you pulling those numbers off? If Twice's album sales aren't enough to make up for expensive MV then Itzy's yearly gross wouldn't be enough for that MV they got. Somehow Blackpink are not going to minus with their MVs but lets pretend most profitable girl group Twice would, because reasons. It is not just braging, it is a fact. BigBang didn't have million attendances in 2012. And they got not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 MVs - all high production in 2012 alone. With 250k album sales they must be -1000% according to your calculations? And why did you kindly skip SNSD from my argument.
Yet another person who undermines the importance of music videos in Kpop, even though it is why Kpop got popular in the first place.

All twice mvs filmed to promote songs produced by JYP were high budget: SIGNAL, WIL, even BDZ was definitely superior towards other japanese MVs. That's just how this dude works.
As for waiting: Itzy as well as every other JYPE artist in first half of 2019 had mediocre MV, while for the second comeback of the year they had ICY. 50% "cheap" releases + 50% "expensive" is pretty much how JYPE resource allocation worked every year. If we'll see some Fancy-level of effort again in 2019 - that's when I'll start getting worried.
I do believe that JYPE could spend way more on TWICE's production though, at least if they want girls to achieve even more, but I think it's obvious that company is pretty much ok with how things work now.

Established popular groups subsidize newer groups as the company works to popularize them, thats just obviously how things work. Twice is huge so they can take the foot off the pedal a little bit, whereas stray kids needs a MV per each song to be competitive and ITZY needs to catch attention early on to establish themselves. I havent had a problem with Twice's MVs outside of fancy looking a bit questionable, YOY was great and so was everything before it. The bigger issue is Twices terrible teaser pics they gotta fire their photoshop guy who has something against knees, among other things. Otherwise I dont see any cause for alarm and making twitter spam campaigns thinking thats actually going to do anything is just silly. Just sit back and relax. I swear this fandom really loves to overreact about anything any everything

Well, what you say makes sense. Dalla also looked cheap. I wish what you say was true but for Twice it is 2 in a row. YOY was also a green background with cheap CGI. I just don't understand, I don't think an actual street background is much more expensive that this CGI.All twice mvs filmed to promote songs produced by JYP were high budget: SIGNAL, WIL, even BDZ was definitely superior towards other japanese MVs. I hope JYP won't do the same mistake that SM did with EXO, by using a group that could compete with BTS as a cash cow and investing all the money in NCT which is now clear, will never reach EXO's level. Itzy is also, pretty safe to say will not reach Twice level. They will be successful but Twice is just rare case.

There are other ways to subsidize. Yall are pretending to know how things work, how money flow in and out. Yet YG is there filming expensive MVs for all of his groups. Winner and Ikon with their broke asses get better production than any JYP group. And sometimes even 2. Island and Love Me were both filmed abroad with foreign directors.Established popular groups subsidize newer groups as the company works to popularize them, thats just obviously how things work. Don't be soft bro...
Twice Fancy MV was cheap and shit, that's a fact but like they have had ups and downs in quality and budget before. I mean last year for example they had 2 relatively low budget videos in Yes or Yes and Wake Me Up and maybe arguably What is Love?
But also things like BDZ 6 mins big set, Candy Pop good CGI and well known anime artist working on it, on location videos like Okinawa for DTNA and Mongolia for TBIED...
Let's relax and just be more positive for the next comeback quality, JYPE has to know the teasers were not up to par and the MV too lacked any form of creativity but also remember typically the more spent on the product the less profits go home with the members.

What's soft about it? Soft is accepting anything company does. Be it hard schedule or lacking content. Fandom should support group.Don't be soft bro...

I am just surprised that there legit are Onces who think Twice would become broke if they got more expensive MVs. Like the extra required budget is 100k probably, that won't hurt anyone.
The most expensive MV in the world is MJ MV if I am not mistaken and it cost like 7 million dollars. The most expensive Kpop MV is rumoured to be BAP's One Shot - a video filmed on several locations abroad, with many actors involved, they even rented a yacht. And that's rumoured to cost 900k. Majority of MVs generally cost up to 500k. No more than that.
For Twice I think it is between 100k and 300k. And they are only behind BTS in terms of profit. If Winner can have two expensive MVs for singles, without physical release and not get broke, I am damn sure Twice can as well.
Twice Japan official account is a bit slow

I caved and decided to register to be a 3rd gen once. Paying for the shipping was painful though. Registering through interpark last year was cheaper sighhhhh...
