I gotta admit, you make good essays and turning black into white. You'd be good at mafia.
I think the difference here is that I don't put celebrities on a pedestal and assume things to be "unbefitting"
The first act of turning black into white. "unbefitting" is not just about "pedestals". Comic-con is "unbefitting" for RDJ because he could be using that time doing something more productive and efficient. He could be reviewing his script or whatever. Why do something with no benefit to you whatsoever? It's nice to do pro bono works and things like that like attending a school festival or having a fan meeting with concert-level production. No matter how much Twice grows, they can always do those stuffs. But events from companies? The money has to be worth it
This notion that somehow Pocari is to blame for "unnecessary" schedules that "make the girls sick", when Pocari have no control over anything else on their schedule is kind of mind-boggling.
The second act of turning black into white. It's not entirely Pocari's fault but also with the management. They should always have their artists' best interests in mind.
Must be Pocari's fault for scheduling their events during summer - they should have known better and scheduled it when Twice wasn't busy.
The third act of turning black into white. Twicelights PH, Music Station and Pocari event. For Twicelights PH, you have to book the venue ahead of time to perform there. It was not booked on the spot. MOA Arena had a lot of events before and after Twicelights PH so you should know the schedule there was hectic. Who knows how long ago they booked that venue. They performed Music Station to promote the singles they released in June 11. So were all these things decided on the spot after they agreed to Pocari's event? And does Twice have no right to say no to the event? That's the definition of disadvantage, if you ask me
And yes, the company is always to blame when they girls get sick, because it obviously due to them being overworked and not some random virus that they caught while traveling.
Of course it's a random virus. Barely anyone gets sick from exhaustion/fatigue. What exhaustion/fatigue does, however, is weakening your immune system, making you more prone to random viruses.
There's no way agencies and businesses are able to predict how opportunities come. You either accept them, or you don't.
Fifth black to white. Let's not sugarcoat it. It's all about the money.
People get sick. People get better. The girls aren't made of glass.
And lastly, but most impressive act. No one here's babying them or claiming they're made of glass. But we've seen this happen many times before. Where would you draw the line and say, "this is enough. there's already something wrong here"? When three of them are absent at the same time? When four of them? When one of them cries and admits they've had a rough year? When someone has to go on a long hiatus? When someone leaves the group?
It's easy to say "they're big girls. they can handle themselves". But overwork is not a myth. Many people quit their jobs because of it, especially if they feel their effort is not matched by their salary, and for all we know Twice might not be the millionaires we think them to be. There are also long-lasting problems that arise from overwork. There is a difference between empathy and apathy.
