But our digitals have been declining since Yes or Yes. Our digitals have been declining since in Japan since WMU.
The fact that it makes you that mad enough to start lashing out then it is what it is.
Fancy didn't flop but was a decline. Feel Special was a flop for TWICE standards. More and More was a flop for TWICE standards.
BUT More and More was an increase from Feel Special, I will admit that. But its till behind Fancy and hasn't touched 2018 songs.
I know you know nothing about Japan but TWICE's digitals have declined there too.
I am NOT saying TWICE is no longer the #1 Girl Group in Japan or Korea. They still are.
But they are at a point that is akin to 2014 Soshi, this is the same thing I experienced with them.
After 2011, their digitals in Japan and Korea dropped consecutively with each release.
NOW, I could be 100% wrong. Personally I feel like TWICE will show us their power if the next song is good.
That is simply it. I am not saying TWICE is doomed. They have a long career. I am just saying
Their power is waning and they need something good to boost them back up.​

nope not 10k album. It was 1k or 10k usd i think and intended for streaming/digital purchase of the song and/or album.. That was why during the pursuit for hot100 chart, everyone in the twitter was encouraging to donate to that sponsor us twice accnt..

On the other hand, you have to spend at least 40 usd for the bundles in the US shop..

Fyi the only Discord I'm part of is .TWICE. But you can hang on to all that crazy you've got going on and stop the noise as most of what you're saying ain't even true. You should know TWICE have been performing as good or better than ever in Japan for a Korean track with M&M so yeah.

Yes and unfortunately I believe Patrick Carney spoke on things like bundles before and if memory serves the vast majority of cash earned from those sales goes right into the companies pockets.

The mark up must be huge 35-40 bucks for a 2 Dollar T-shirt and a digital album that cost 0 to produce...all said and done the company is prolly walking away with 90-95% profits.

Personally do you think it was cheap? To me I think the video looked like it clearly had budget, the budget was just clearly not put to prupose. The issue wasn't expense or effort but creativity imho. I would agree that most Once should pressure JYPE to move from Niave for the next video, creatively they can't take TWICE's MV's any further and that's fine. When they needed different image they hired a different stylist, when they improved on their choreo they used new people in their team, when the bring out new music they work with a bunch of producers, writers and composers....but fukcing JYPE will never ever work with a new MV team. It's always Niave smfh. But everything else felt fine to me.

The album packaging is superb this time around imho. Really really solid. The b-sides are as good as I can remember, certainly building on the standard of Fancy You and Feel Special. The title track was just a bit of a miss, that happens sometimes...what can you do? TWICE keep saying they want to try new things or try to present a fresher or cooler image so it's likely they'll keep trying new sound each time. I'm not sure that's something we should be protesting.

The merch were kinda ugly and lacked creativity though.. Cmon give us something like Tzuyu's trashcan or that jeongyeon's hanger bundled with the album.. Girls will land within top 10 in bb 200 for sure

Speaking of bundles, I've checked BP's in their US shop and they were actually selling the physical album+digital format for 40 usd.. So expensive.. And they have way cuter hoodies and shirts..

The yellow sign in the bottom left picture says that the product (More&More album) is out of stock. Looks like production backlogs from all the comebacks are still an issue. Either that, or it hasn't reached the more far-flung stores. Back catalog seems OK though.

Edit: TR and MS-Big outlets in Tokyo seem to have stock, so the issue is not nation-wide.

Only 13k increased since the 1st news of reaching 550k gaon sales 3 weeks ago. Looks like this album will only be able to hit 600k by end of the year.

By cheap I don't necessarily mean that JYP didn't pay enough. I mean that MV looked cheap and it did. The CGI is very horrible. I've seen better CGI with smaller and obviously less budget groups.

Ok, so how do we pressure him to abandon niave? With the whole copyright controversy we have a good shot. But action is needed.

In my realistic world, it's amazing if true lol To think we'd always thought Twice album sales would be plateauing around the high 300K and thought all the "scandals" would adversely affect the figures, but now they didn't only break 400K, but 500K. That's incredible, not even factoring in the fact that we're in the middle of a pandemic and there's Fanfare.

not dissapointing but i expect more, since last time they are saying already shipped 550k. but yeah it was great. and thats without local distribution in western stores like amazon barnes etc too..

I think we need more realistic expectations then. Also, idk if this means anything or played a factor as I'm not that well-versed in sales and distribution, but I ordered from Choice Music (since they confirmed they'd be counted toward BB200) and only got confirmation yesterday that my albums finally are being shipped. Last month I got notice that they were having shipment restrictions due to the pandemic and hence, the delay. I know many US Onces pre-ordered from there too. Perhaps we'll see some increase next month. Either way, I'm pretty happy with what we got given the circumstances.

Am I really reading disappointment here...I mean look at the competition-I didn't expect this to be close and it wasn't. I know some other groups sell well bu look at IZ number....it's just not even competitive in any way and yeah other groups might sell well but those groups have been saving and resorting to mass money collection since early Feb and I still am skeptical whether they will even touch TWICE at year end.

This is massive, a 5 yr old group just destroyed the GG record and did it with ease and an incoming Japan single. Blown away.

@Dreamer95 yeah I agree-Niave have an amazing ability to spend a lot of money and deliver tacky and cheap looking videos. K-Once have been going hard on JYPE this comeback, esp following the plagiarism scandal. I mean it's really pathetic that 1, not only are the folk at Niave not talented but 2, they are actively getting paid to steal ideas instead of creatively thinking...this theft has as well tarnished TWICE's rep at the end of the day so it's not even close to being acceptable. The fucking donkey's at JYPE dont want to hear it tho.

Didn't see this posted anywhere-not really a chart but a recent regional survey taken in among 6,610 Elementary and Middle schoolers in Japan.

It's basically popularity of entertainers among students of that age. TWICE secured a really high ranking which surprised me.

Top 5 were
1, Hikakin. Huge YTer with like nearly 9m subs
2, Arashi
3, Ken Shimura. Popular variety comedian that recently passed away.
4, TWICE.
5, King & Prince.

Considering the only other 2 music acts making it in the top 5 are King & Prince who are really big right now and the legends Arashi I'd say this is a massive result for them.
