Weekly Heart stealer pole.
Mayuka stole everyone's all of Ayaka's audiences hearts and has moved up to first place in JYP's pole. Ayaka though didn't go down without a fight and got strait seconds from Saturday on. Riria and Momoka fans are determined that they will not abandon their biases and have alternated with each other almost every day this week. Also big mover this week was Yuna coming from around 9th place to a solid 3rd for the weekly roundup.

I will wait to see ICY before I decide who I think should win of the three but I have a lot of thoughts about the individual members and line distribution/screentime in Heartbeat and Feel Special lol

Wow, Mayuka ATE that rap... and those expressions? She nails the energy of every concept she has. Did not see those rap skills coming but #blessed they did. I've been saying since S1 that Yuna and Momoka need to be rapping in this competition, but hadn't thought of Mayuka. Her skyrocketing to the top like this (would not be surprised if she ranks #1) feels like confirmation she has the last debut spot on lock. Riku was done dirty with literally no lines, basically just an adlib without center time, then JYP has the audacity to say she isn't improving. They gave Mayuka almost 20 seconds of rap, plus like 15+ more seconds of center time at the start alone so it's very clear the producers wanted to spotlight solely her. They could have split the beginning Taec rap between Mayuka and Momoka (or Mako) then given Momoka/Mako's subsequent vocal line to Riku for example. I'm not worried for Riku, but you cannot honestly tell her she's stagnating if she is not given any lines/center time. The dancing was obscured by a lot more closeups and flashing lights than usual so I could not tell how cohesive it was but I think they all danced well? I still can't listen to Ayaka's voice because it's still terrible, but I really applaud her confidence here and the improved dancing! I will note that nobody else would get away with having the worst vocals, no progress on them, and no comments about it, but that's visual privilege. You can see in Momoka's energy that she's just waiting to be eliminated. I truly believe she would have shone if given half of Mayuka's rap or even Mako's rap, but I think the producers want her out so that's a shame.

I actually agree with JYP's comments about Miihi, she seems to have had a very off day. To be fair, she was kind of set up to fail by starting S2 at #1 and having Jihyo's lines and center dance in this. Jihyo has this vibrato to her voice and power in her dance so Miihi came off very underwhelming with her light feminine voice / dancing style. I think she would have been more successful vocally had she been given the opening line as Mina has a softer vocal tone. In my opinion, Maya, Akari, and Yuna all-outdanced Miihi in this one too though. (Side note: I think it's funny Miihi had Jihyo's part and Akari had Nayeon/Mina when Miihi is often compared to Nayeon and many people say Akari looks like pre-debut Jihyo.) Akari's performance was a HUGE improvement, this was her stage. She was overflowing with charisma and her voice was really heckin' stable and fit the song well (but the post production autotune in S2 always sounds most noticeable on her vocals to me... I'm not sure why?) I wish Maya had been given two lines instead of one after having only one line in the last performance too. She sounded and looked great though and I suppose they felt she already was focused on enough in the last eval. Yuna's vocal line was short but was more mature in tone and she didn't crack!! Her rapping was awesome as I expected it to be. Rapper Yuna is so much more comfortable and confident than vocalist Yuna. I'm so happy she could finally showcase what she can pull off in practice.

These aren’t complete performances on Nizikake and sukkiri. Probably not even half the song that will be on the main show.

Didn't know feel special is such a hard song . The teacher tells them to sing it lightly &make it sound fun while jyp tells them to put them selfs in the protagonist's shoes & sing it like a ballad & have emotional expressions . Happy for yuna , didn't notice miihi's mistakes in the dancing that jyp talked about only the singing i thought they were signing the japanese version when her part came up i didnt know what she was saying yuna was slightly in danger singing wise in some points but overall it was good . Maya&akari were fantastic. Was hoping to see more performances : (

Tbh. Miihii always failed to impress me in group performances and was easily overshadowed by others. Hope she improves her stage presence for the final team misson. We need her in the final lineup.
