Why do badges made by an AT member get rejected in the pre-approval? I'm thinking a staff member would immediately tell if a badge would be rejected... Just a question

They get rejected because we have a lot of awards trainees at the moment and we let them have as much freedom as possible to do mocks so they can get the experience since we have the safe-guard of the pre-approval thread (that as of right now needs to go through the leads or senior members of the team).

Another reason is that we are only human and sometimes do over 20 mocks at a time and our eyes are tired and we think we did a good job only to later be like, what was I thinking.

I would improve the crop on the first (more zoomed in) one but the other 3 are fine!

Ok, thanks for explaining! I think it's easy for us users to just assume a badge will be approved when it's done by an awards team member, including me, so that's why I was a bit confused why they weren't.

hi, this badge was rejected because it was too edited, bright, and needed a better crop. i was just wondering if it was savable with these edits or not
the original image is zoomed out and pretty bright already so that might be the root of the problem. if its really not savable, it's completely fine i just thought i'd ask anyway

If i remove an award i'm a keeper of is it in danger of being deleted ?
If i remove that award can i request a new one with the post count of the removed award ?

Hi! I set up a poll about getting an alternative group badge but only 5 out of 11 supporters/keepers voted. They all voted yes but since they’re only a minority, does this mean that we won’t get the alt badge?

Imo, it still looks too edited, the coloring is off and it's cropped too low, her chin is almost touching the edge of the badge. I'd just scrap it.

There will be an annual cleanup, where all the badges with less than 2 keepers will be deleted. So yes, if you remove your badge and at the time of the cleanup it will be below the required number of keepers, it will get deleted.
You can just swap an award for another award, it's all in the OP of the Request Thread

Yep, for wildcard it's all new mocks that haven't been suggested before!

As for the badges:
2nd one is cropped too close, his eye is almost cut off.
3rd one is too bright.
4th is a definite no, it's too much of a side profile.
6th is a no as well, the coloring is horrible.
7th I'd crop a bit closer.

The rest should be fine, I will double-check with the team though, stay tuned

You just have to create the thread in the Awards section and do all the usual steps!

Here's a quote from the Guidelines:

How do I make a voting thread?
Start by creating a thread in the Awards sub-forum. You'll want to include all relevant information in the title such as the group name and important deadlines. You'll need to create a schedule: we recommend 3-4 days for suggestions and another 3-4 days for voting. Smaller, less popular groups may require less time so use your own judgement. You must include the awards guidelines clearly in the first post and reject any suggestions that do not fall under those guidelines. We recommend creating a collage or imgur gallery of the suggestions which each one clearly labelled so that users may vote easily. Voting polls must be made public, no exceptions. H+ has a handy feature that can close the poll for you after a certain amount of days so you don't need to worry about forgetting.

I don't know who told you this but that's not true, you can swap a badge for another even if you, at first, signed up as a keeper. Notice that we, the AT, when badges are being requested have no way of knowing whatever someone was a keeper or not for said badge, unless we kept track of all the keepers for all of the threads, which is impossible. It's up to you if you want to swap it out after you initially get it - but remember, there is always a risk of it getting deleted from the system if we do a cleanup and it's under 2 keepers.

I fixed them a little bit, I hope these are okay?

The first one just looks too edited now, honestly, I'd just scrap it.
The second one looks okay but now that I look at the third, it needs to be either zoomed out a bit or pushed up - his chin is almost touching the edge of the badge. It looks slightly LQ as well, maybe if you could give me the original picture I could try fixing it?

And something I didn't notice earlier - they all have bad corners! They should be 20px for Photoshop and 40px for Photoscape.
