Hello, I'm new to this thread. Grainy's recommendation thread last Tuesday to listen to some Hebe songs has introduced me to the world of S.H.E. I've never heard of them before because I know very little about Taiwanese (or any Chinese) pop music. I'm instantly hooked and have been listening to Youtube playlists of S.H.E songs in the background this week. I've had Belief going around my head for the last few days!

So it looks like I'm about 18 years late for a really interesting group! I like their voices and soothing musical style, although I realise I've hardly scratched the surface of their discography.

I should mention that my only Taiwan entertainment knowledge is that I watched the "Attention, Love!" drama last year (bit slow, but quite good) and really like its title song "Guess" by Joanne Tseng. Oh, and I know Tzuyu from Twice and Shuhua from (G)I-dle are from Taiwan. And, er... I think that's about it.

Anyway, I'm going to follow this thread and maybe this will be start of something new for me.

I think it's really cool when people discover artists late, since you have such a treasure trove of songs and MVs to go back through. Kind of like finding a good series and being able to binge watch instead of waiting for years.

“Richard has given us a lot of legal assistance, so we wanted to treat him to a meal,” Selina shared, adding that their relationship had not soured even after their divorce, and that they would ask after the other every once in a while.

When probed for more details about their current relationship, Selina laughed, “It’s definitely not as good as our relationship before (the divorce, though)!”

Hmm I think you've asked me before but to share with whoever else drops in too, I got into S.H.E from Hebe's My Love album. I was trying to improve my Chinese by listening to songs back then and really liked how clearly she enunciates her words in her songs. Then, as I always do when I'm interested in a singer, I started looking through her past interviews. There used to be a regular subber back then so it was easy to track.

At the time, Selina was recovering from her burn incident. I was touched by how brave she was, and how S.H.E stuck together, so I started looking through S.H.E videos.

I'd known about S.H.E and heard their songs since around 2005, but Ella was the only one I knew. Going through their videos, I realised how funny she was, and really liked their dynamic.

The more i got to know them, the more I respected them, and that's how I've ended up stanning! I mostly prefer Hebe's music and don't have time to watch Ella and Selina's shows, though. In that sense, I'm more of a solo stan, but I like Hebe in S.H.E very much and think all three of them are best together, though they're also excellent on their own.

I knew of them, but never got into them during that time! I wish I had though - it would've been easy, they were in everything.

For me it's because I'd never had any experience with Chinese entertainment except for some Wuxia. Until I came across Hebe and GEM half a decade ago. Then I found out Hebe was part of a group and started getting into SHE.
