Now let’s talk about the new member:

Kiri Soani

GOg0_Z0akAAo_nH.jpg

Name meaning: “Kiri” can mean “fruit” or “result,” while the word “Soani” does not exist in Japanese.
Constellation: Ito Hanbunko (“Ito” most likely means “thread” and “Hanbunko” means “split in half,” but it’s hard to say anything definitive about the meaning of this constellation without context).
Twitter: https://x.com/sr13y_soani

Nice to meet you!!!
I’m the new member of Seireki13ya, the Ito Hanbunko constellation – Kiri Soani (* ¨̮ *)🧡🍎

I want to continue the story that was put together by “Seireki” along with the “Night Minions”!
I hope for your support(ᐡ ̥_ ̫ _ ̥ᐡ)✨
From Kiri Soani’s Twitter.

It has also been revealed that the title of the group's upcoming major solo concert at the Kinema Club to be held on November 30th is "Tooamarimitsu to Yoru Shimobe." Tooamarimitsu" is an old Japanese numeral meaning "thirteen," and "Yoru Shimobe" is the native Japanese way of expressing the group's fans' name, "Minions of the Night." Thus, it forms the phrase "Thirteen and the Minions of the Night," written in the traditional Japanese style.

USOTSUKINAISHO finally got an official Twitter account.

The members of the group also got accounts and their names became known:

Tademaru Ichiren

GO6FDRlacAAXz9K.jpg

Name meaning: “Tademaru” is a traditional Japanese name made up of two characters (“knotweed” and “circle”/”perfection”) and “Ichiren” means “row,” “series” or “chain” of something.
Twitter: https://x.com/usonai_ichiren

I’m the leader of USOTSUKINAISHO!!! Tademaru Ichiren! I love to sing🎤

Ema Amajiki

Name meaning: “Ema” doesn’t seem to have any meaning, and “Amajiki” is a traditional Japanese surname consisting of two characters (“heaven” and “to eat”).

I want to be someone for you who can ease your soul at least a little in difficult moments.
Let’s strive for the future together, I hope for your long term support🕯
From Ema Amajiki’s Twitter.

(*) The girl is using a salutation specific to very well-mannered upper-class ladies, which carries a touch of sophistication and refinement.

As you can see, the group’s lineup has been reduced to two members and Ibu Memesu is no longer a member.

However, the group has started performing louplull’s songs in their live repertoire.

Also, syva revealed on his Twitter that he had written a song for the group.

On May 14th, Zenbu Kimi no Sei da held another livestream where they shared what they have been into lately.

Mei revealed the secret of how she manages to keep her skin beautiful despite the fact that being an angel, she has lived for over a billion years, and besides, it’s not always possible for her to maintain a healthy lifestyle on the road (which she doesn’t really stick to anyway, since she always stays out late and occasionally drinks alcohol). The thing is, she consumes a small bottle of 100% lemon juice every day, which she adds to her food.

As I mentioned before, Hikari has a passion for mobile games. However, the battle sessions in her favorite video games are usually about 20 minutes long, during which the girl is completely out of the world. So, for those moments during travel when the group is actively chatting about something, Hikari decided to look for entertainment that does not require such deep involvement, and she discovered Livly Island – a game in which you raise various mysterious creatures in the manner of Tamagotchi. According to the girl, she now logs in to the game at least twenty times a day. She also encourages everyone to play it, as the game seems to be losing its audience lately, and Hikari doesn’t want the 100,000 yen she’s already spent on the game to go to waste.

Komochi, for her part, has begun crocheting. One of the results of her work:

According to the girl, this hobby has fascinated her so much that she even tries to get up early to crochet more. This hobby is also part of Komochi’s plan to become a cute grandma. You might rightly point out that she’s jumping the gun a bit, but the girl notes that this way she’ll be a pro by the time she’s a grandma. Komochi also plans to take her hobby to the next level and start making some merchandise.

Muku spends her free time battling in Apex Legends.

And Megumi is into BL as always. Lately, she also likes to fall asleep to the previews of various manga, which are voiceovers of the first few volumes, and that’s how she discovered Smoke Blue no Ame Nochi Hare, which she recommends to viewers.

Not Secured, Loose Ends announced a free solo concert titled “fundamental” to be held on June 12, where the group is expected to make some sort of major announcement.

Earlier, Mei Yui Mei revealed on Twitter that the group was recording something.

On May 8th, TOKYO TEFUTEFU held a livestream to discuss the group’s latest solo tour “NNEEOORAGE ~KakeruTobu~”, the final concert of which was supposed to take place in February but was postponed to May 4th due to the car accident the group was involved in. Interestingly, this is the first time that the members have spoken publicly about the accident, talking in great detail about how they felt at the time and how the accident affected them. The girls also talked about how they managed the first concerts without Nonno and what an unexpected thing happened at the finale. I have translated the most interesting moments of this stream:

I close my eyes, run away, try to forget this world, where even if you’re in unbearable pain, even if you cry and scream, nothing changes, where the only thing I can do is sing here.
I’m so helpless, really.
All the time I was the one who wanted to be saved.
From Chimura Shifumi’s Twitter.

Chimura also posted a short audio recording of one of her karaoke sessions:

Unfortunately, Futatsuna’s first digital single, which was supposed to be released on May 15th, has been postponed to June 5th “due to reasons related to the recording of the new member.”

Sorry to everyone who has been waiting for this release.

Please give us some more time to show you the maximum insanity that the current lineup is capable of.ᐟ
In the meantime, enjoy the time of anticipation, excitement, and impatience, as it befits “Monsters”~ (ᐢ ̫ᐢ)
From Chimura “Nine Curse Bullet” Shifumi’s Twitter.

***

I was in a thrift store picking out a shirt and there was a bee circling around me all the time. When I finally decided what I wanted to buy and went to the cash register, the bee followed me, and the salesman made a big fuss and tried to run away from the bee. The bee circled around me and the salesman until I left, it was so cute. (To be honest, I’m afraid of bees, too, they can sting painfully after all).
From Higaminari Yuchiomi’s Twitter.

And one last thing: a group photo of the codomomental members from an offline event celebrating the company’s recently completed joint tour:

Have you listened to futatsuna’s first digital single, “reimei,” which was released on July 5th?

On the same day, there was a YouTube livestream where the group members talked about the release and more. The stream was so interesting and funny that I am going to translate it almost completely.

The name of the new member, who joined the group in April, was also revealed. Her name is Sagara “Hide Bite the Sun” Tsuzura (艸楽 “Hide Bite the Sun” 廿楽). I suggest we talk about the meaning of her name when the girl finally gets a Twitter account.

Of course, I love the song itself.
You can start raging in just 5 seconds, can’t you~ (ᐢ ̫ᐢ)
Let’s raise our hands✋ and jump together~
I also love the cover.
The pink barbed wire and the nine-tailed fox are so cute!
From Chimura “Nine Curse Bullet” Shifumi’s Twitter.

The exciting feeling the day I heard “reimei” for the first time and my worries about whether I would be able to not lose to this song…
The day I practiced until dawn…
The day I wasn’t doing well and was frustrated…
The day I was told I had succeeded…
Listening to the song, I was suddenly reminded of all that, and I was happy again that we were able to release it.
Listen to “reimei,” okay?
From Tsukumo “St.Lightning Beast” Romi’s Twitter.

I wrote the lyrics for futatsuna’s “reimei.” Maybe you won’t understand anything. But I think this is exactly what I want to express with “futatsuna.” It’s an endless “14”-feeling that I want to carry through everything.
You can see ** behind someone. It’s not a spiritual thing at all, but I think that’s what “futatsuna” (“second name”) is. And it’s not just a conceptual thing, but why **? After all, it’s something unscientific. What do such beings want to become, while living, revitalizing, dying, sophisticating? The ultimate goal seems indefinite and perhaps closer than it seems, or perhaps far away…
From GESSHIRUI’s Twitter.

On June 12, Not Secured, Loose Ends made several important announcements at a free solo concert called “fundamental.”

First, the group will release their first single entitled “GENESIS” on July 17. According to information from online stores, in addition to the title song, the release will also include re-recorded Yukueshirezutsurezure hits “REDERA” and “Doppelgänger” with English lyrics.

Second, the group will release the second part of the album of re-recorded Yukueshirezutsurezure hits entitled “OUROARBOROSⅡ” on September 4th.

Third, there will be two small tours to commemorate both releases: the first will begin on July 11 and end on August 19, and the second will begin on September 4 and end on October 22. Both tours will consist of five concerts each.

The release of Seireki13ya’s new album is approaching (July 10th), and its track list has already appeared in online stores:
  1. kuchibue (くちぶえ)
  2. asta asterism (?) (アスタアステリズム)
  3. mahoroba heavy (まほろばへう゛ぃー)
  4. futarijime (ふたり占め)
  5. Past Time Link (パストタイムリンク)
  6. Sweetie Charm
  7. hitori hitotsu (ひとりひとつ)
  8. Future Perfect
  9. Pastelphose
  10. Grim.
So the album will consist of 2 old songs (“kuchibue” and “Pastelphose”), a new version of “yocto asterism” and 7 new songs.

It’s also interesting that on many online stores the old album title (“Comet Trance Sprechchchor”) has been changed to “metonymy 13 parallel.”

On May 22nd and 23rd, even before the debut of the new lineup, Seireki13ya held livestreams in which the members individually shared their feelings about the recent developments in the group and expressed their mood in anticipation of the new milestone in Seireki13ya’s history. First up was Minai, who talked about her struggles since joining the group, how she’s grown and the goals she’s set for herself, her relationships with the other members, fan support, and other interesting things, which you can check out below in my translation of the stream. And if you watched Minai’s old solo livestream, which I also translated, it will be even more obvious to you how much she has changed in less than a year.

I often re-listen (along with the lyrics) to this album (Twilight Noise), but it’s just phenomenal. syva is truly an artist with bottomless potential. Although he didn’t write a single song for this album, he recorded and mixed all the tracks and as a result everything – songs, lyrics and vocals – is raised to the highest level. It’s really incredible.
From GESSHIRUI’s Twitter.

As promised, TOKYO TEFUTEFU announced their new tour. It will be called “TRANCEBULLET MOTOGURUU TOUR” and will include performances in 27 cities. The tour will run from July 4th to December 31st, where the group will celebrate their next anniversary at an undisclosed venue.

At the same time, the members got new conceptual profile pictures:

It was a concert that made my soul tingle, emotions run high, and tears came to my eyes. My dream is to create the same kind of concerts that touch people’s hearts.
Today I realized what I’m lacking and what I need to work on. I learned and absorbed everything like a sponge!
It was such a day (՞ ܸ. .՞ ՞)💭
From Tademaru Ichiren’s Twitter.

Zenbu Kimi no Sei da also got new profile pictures:

On May 26th, the group posted a video showing a small part of the group’s daily routine, specifically their morning running session. While Megumi, Muku and Hikari ran for miles, Mei took on the role of cameraman and Komochi acted as the narrator of the finished video. The video turned out to be quite funny, you can check out my translation below:

You feel a tightening in your throat, a pinch in your heart. You can’t help but smile and tears come. Whether it is a large venue, whether there are many people or not, nothing changes. With a small but constant effort, they rebuild their identity. I am so blessed to be able to work with these girls.
From GESSHIRUI’s Twitter.

USOTSUKINAISHO added another new song to their concert repertoire.

Today I focused on the song again and rehearsed it, trying to combine the lyrics with my experience, thinking a lot about what they could mean, how I could sing them myself💭

I don’t know if my interpretation is correct, but I will try my best to bring it to you at the concerts, so I want you to come and accept it🎤❤️‍🔥
From Tademaru Ichiren’s Twitter.

I’ve only been practicing raising my fists, but I’ve already started to get pretty bad muscle pain and I realized that I still have a lot of growing to do (ᐡ ̥_ ̥_ ̫ _ ̥ᐡ)(ᐡ ̥_ ̫ _ ̥ᐡ)(ᐡ ̥ᐡ)
I want to do it sharp and powerful ( ˙꒳˙ )ᕗ
From Ema Amajiki’s Twitter.

I’ve already written a few songs for USOTSUKINAISHO, and if those who can confidently follow these girls join the group, it will be a really great group, I’m sure. The concept and world created in their songs is also touching. I am sure that after six months, they will perform like a different person.
From GESSHIRUI’s Twitter.

On June 5, it was announced that “Kurumi Sora, known for her unprecedented personal life and rap battles, will be releasing on the codomomental INC label.”

An EP titled “αΩ” will be released on October 2, with one track (“sanzen decoy”) released in advance on September 11.

Kurumi Sora is a former idol – she participated in up to 7 units in her 4 years of activity, including the Kamen Joshi project, before gaining attention as a rapper. An excerpt from a video of one of her rap battles went viral and broke the 10 million views mark. The girl attracts the public by the fact that, despite her cute appearance, she has a fierce temperament and fearless spirit: she is not afraid of her opponents and throws very harsh phrases. In addition to rapping, she is also active on YouTube, in martial arts, and works as an actress and seiyuu. Despite this, the girl describes herself as “socially inferior.”

During her time as an idol, she stated in a program that she “has 20 lovers” and “prefers handsome men to three meals a day.” Also, with her petite build and height of only 146.7 cm, she once took part in a fight that was obviously unfavorable for her, losing by technical knockout, the reason for which she later explained as an attempt to stir up a fuss among her haters (which she more than succeeded in doing).

GPTvRmga8AE3WLP.jpg

I think it’s only after about 15 songs have been written for a new group that the first outlines of the group suddenly begin to emerge. Not something forced and superficial, but a shape that people can really love. That’s the feeling I have.
I’ve been writing new songs for different artists lately, but recently I got a mix that really hit me. It combines the history of the group, their fervent desire to “create something new” and so many other things. I can’t stop listening to it!
From GESSHIRUI’s Twitter.

I ran into Ema-chan at a train station the other day, and as soon as I called out to her, she showed me that she was listening to “Rosario to Koi” 🫶🏻🫶🏻
From Mary Lust’s Twitter.

Meeting you while listening to your song was a dream of mine, so it came true at that moment✨

I love you🦋♡⃛ ̖́-.

Last three weeks in codomomental (June 17 - July 7)

Seireki13ya held another series of individual livestreams, and below I have tried to compile the most interesting facts that were mentioned during them. I have also mixed in facts from a rather old series of livestreams (last autumn), which Kisaragi Megumi conducted with each of the members of codomomental (which I didn’t have time to cover back then).

Let's start with Nene Komochi:
  • According to her own admission, she had terrible attendance in high school, and therefore has a rather meager experience of school life.
  • The first "Zenkimi" song Komochi heard was "Neojealous Melochaos." The first "Zenkimi" concert she attended was the release event for the single "MudaiGasshou" (the title song of which captivated her so much that she became a fan of the group).
  • As is well known, she loves Pokémon. Her favorite Pokémon is Volcanion. Komochi admires its cool nature, and moreover, it is her role model. This Pokémon gave her the strength of spirit in times when she was struggling.
The unwavering determination to protect something is what I inherited from Volcanion.
So, because Volcanion was with me, because I met Volcanion, the desire to protect "Seireki" became something natural for me.
This straightforwardness of mine in regards to what I love is what I inherited from Volcanion.
  • Of all Seireki13ya songs, Komochi likes "sekaisengoto" the most.
What is my favorite "Seireki" song? Actually, my answer is always the same: my most favorite song is "sekaisengoto."
Thanks to this song, how should I say... Not that I "overcame various difficulties" – that's not the only reason, but "sekaisengoto" gave me such an incredible amount of courage and strength that, no matter how much time passes, "sekaisengoto" will always be my most favorite song. Rather, all the songs are important to me, I love them all, but this one is special to me.
  • She also shared her impression of Soani.
First of all, when I ask Soa something, she always immediately gives me a direct and honest answer.
She really has her firm convictions, she is sincere and loves "Seireki" very much, but at the same time she is very funny. How should I say, a little absent-minded.
Uh, Urari and Minai also have this a lot... How should I say, after all, we were born on different planets, we come from different constellations, and so often it feels like: "Ah, after all, we are from different planets," but, how should I say... Surely, the planet on which Soa was born is the closest to mine. I kind of feel that way.
  • Komochi is very satisfied and looks at the future of the current lineup with great positivity.
Yes, three such wonderful members have joined "Seireki" and they are working so hard.
At just the thought of this, tears come to my eyes.
  • The highest goal Komochi sets for Seireki13ya is to perform in space.
By the way, here's another thing the girl recently crocheted herself:

And now Yui Urari:

But first, I suggest you watch the translation of her individual livestream, which took place on the eve of the debut of the new "Seireki" lineup. I could try to describe it to you somehow, but this stream turned out to be so impressively touching, sincere, and heartfelt that I simply have no words. I guarantee you: even if you followed Urari before, you can't imagine how deeply she will reveal herself to you in this video. If you are still doubting whether to support her, just watch it to the end:

And now let's move on to other facts:
  • Urari is attracted to both boys and girls.
  • On September 10, 2023, Urari and Minai "got married and divorced on the same day."
  • She has two brothers – younger and older, but they are "like younger sisters" to her.
  • Urari is not afraid of dying – she is curious about what will happen to her afterward.
  • She wouldn’t mind turning into a baby.
  • Urari shared what she wants her upcoming solo song to be like.
I liked the album MythEpoc so much that I listened to it constantly. I listened to it at school and during breaks at my part-time jobs to recharge and become more energetic. So I want my solo song to also be able to energize people and lift their spirits.
  • She expressed a desire to perform the song "Face2" with the new lineup – a song with lyrics by Nene Komochi, which express her feelings towards the group incredibly straightforwardly.
Recently, before the debut of the new lineup, we had Instagram livestreams, right? And then, watching Komochi's livestream, I was so touched, and when it ended, I immediately listened to "Face2," and I was once again filled with the desire to perform it no matter what. I was so overwhelmed with emotions, and of course, I cried. After all, this song is filled with all your precious memories, and we love it too, so it is a very important song.
  • Urari is very much looking forward to upcoming codomomental joint events, despite the fact that, according to her, she has always been inclined to solitude.
I love the events that we hold with all of codomomental. After all, our senpais are there with us, and now the newcomers will also be present. And people who love all codomomental groups come to these events. It’s such a happy space.
I love festivals when everyone is together – it’s great. It's more fun together with everyone. It used to be important for me to spend time alone, but since joining codomomental, I’ve really come to enjoy being with everyone.
As a child, I often read books or played alone, but in codomomental, everyone is so wonderful, so filled with love, that being with them makes me feel so happy.
  • As a bonus for pre-ordering tickets to the concert dedicated to her birthday, Urari is preparing handmade headbands with wobbling antennas, which allow Earthlings to become one of the inhabitants of the Evening Waiting constellation. According to Urari, its inhabitants have antennas of various colors on their heads, through which they communicate. For this reason, it was quite difficult for her to learn Japanese after arriving on Earth, as she didn’t know how to speak before.
  • Urari is very serious about writing lyrics for the group.
I believe that to write good lyrics, you need to have a pure soul. So I try to cultivate my heart every day so that when the opportunity arises, I can write lyrics that will resonate in people's hearts.
  • She also shared her impressions of Soani.
You know, Soa-chan is so diligent. She firmly grasps everything by the next practice. And she always asks if something is unclear to her. She is so cute and such a good girl!
  • It is known that she is interested in picture books, and lately, she has been rereading "Momo, or the strange story of the time-thieves and the child who brought the stolen time back to the people" (Michael Ende). It's a book she read as a child. Recently, she enjoys rereading books from her childhood, as naturally, they are perceived completely differently with age.
Later it was announced that this winter Urari will release her own picture book titled "When I'm with you, I become myself." Naturally, she will be responsible for both the text and the illustrations.

As merch at her birthday show, items featuring illustrations from the book, as well as introductions of its characters, will already be available.

You can also check out this short clip on Twitter where Komochi and Minai give Urari a birthday present, which they managed to forget to do during a livestream that day:

I was born on this day! Thank you all.
You know, my aspirations for this year are full of love, but I recently realized that I am also part of this starry sky filled with love.
Sometimes I doubt whether my presence makes others happier, and if you also worry and have doubts because of this, it makes me sad. So, you know, it's not that it's wrong, but I realized that you can't think that way all the time.
I realized this thanks to you.
Thank you so much.
So I will always be by your side and make you happy!
From Yui Urari's Twitter.

And now Yowa Minai:
  • Minai almost never did her homework in school; she was in a troubled class that "drove their homeroom teacher to gray hair."
  • Her room is not tidy: clothes, documents, and empty drink bottles are scattered everywhere.
  • Minai’s hobby is watching YouTube. She especially loves watching Werewolf (Mafia) games.
  • She loves shoujo manga, a passion inherited from her older sister. As a child, she often snuck into her sister's room and read her favorite works, and as a result, Minai is, in her own words, familiar with almost all the classics (but not very much with modern stuff).
  • She likes the band Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas. It is known that this band gained fame with their openings for the anime Kaiji, with which Minai is naturally also familiar, since it also involves various psychological games in the spirit of Mafia. She expressed a desire to play something similar with the group.
  • Recently, she got into Attack on Titan and, accordingly, the music from this anime, which she constantly hums, so much so that it got stuck even in the director's head.
As for the Kiri Soani's livestream and the whole group's livestream held afterward, they turned out to be so funny and interesting that I will try to translate them almost entirely later.

Unfortunately, at the moment, Soani had to take a break from the group activities due to family circumstances.

Hello to all our "Night Minions," long time no see.
This is Soani.
As has already been announced, there is a turmoil at my home right now, so I had to suddenly take a break. I'm sorry.
But my feelings of love for "seireki" and my desire to work hard here have not changed at all, I will definitely come back, so please don't forget about me and wait for me. I am looking forward to seeing you all again.
Soani.
From Kiri Soani's Twitter.

Recently, the group released the cover of their upcoming album, which, as expected, has been renamed to "metonymy 13 parallel."

futatsuna launched an interesting themed lottery where the seven heavens from Jewish mythology correspond to various prizes of increasing value (the main ones being stylish handmade plush toys by the members themselves), and the eight Buddhist hot hells correspond to punishments (like a slap in the face, a painted face, having to splurge on another cheki, or, the most harmless, a tweet promoting the group).

The group has also started performing a cover of "a fact of life" by the Japanese post-hardcore band Fact at concerts.

Yesterday, I attended the first day of the TOKYO TEFUTEFU TRANCEBULLET MOTOGURUU TOUR.
No matter how many times I watch the senpai's performances, they always captivate me; it's always fun, but each performance is always different from the others.
They manage to reach every person in the audience, which is touching and captivating.
I will work hard to also become capable of confidently delivering my performances to each of you, people, and to get a step closer to their level!
From Tsukumo "St. Lightning Beast" Romi's Twitter.

On June 18th, USOTSUKINAISHO held their first talk livestream, which I will also try to translate among other things.

Thanks to the support of many people, I have the present, and every time I see your smiles and feel the warmth, I realize that life is great. I am so happy to be surrounded by such wonderful senpais, fans, and many other involved people! I also want to become a person who can bring happiness to people. I will work hard! I won't stop🔥
It's been two months since my debut❕
Music has supported me all my life; it has saved me many times in difficult and tough moments. Thanks to the support of many people, I can be here now, and therefore I want to become a support for someone and bring happiness to people!🕊️🍀
I will work hard every day so that I can confidently say that life is great! Even more than now!
Thank you for everything. I hope for your support in the future! ᐡ ̳ᴗ ̫ ᴗ ̳ᐡ♡

Hello everyone¨♡¨
Yesterday, I went to the theater✨
Although they do something completely different, I was very moved by how beautiful and expressive their performances on stage wereㅠ ̫ㅠ
I also want to become someone who can touch everyone from the stageꔛෆ
What things touch you?✿◔‿◔✿
Also, the classic costumes from the 1800s left a huge impression on me❁︎

Recently, I've started calling myself "Yuchupichu," "Yuchipichi," or "Yupichipi."
You can call me that too: "Yuchu-Pichu!"

Not Secured, Loose Ends – "We live to shout this all over the world"

Translation of the first interview with Not Secured, Loose Ends, in which the members discuss the circumstances of the group's formation, why they chose to perform songs in English, the challenges they faced while recording the album "OUROARBOROS," the emotions the girls poured into their first original song "GENESIS," the new approach to the group's activities compared to Yukueshirezutsurezure, and more.

Last three weeks in codomomental (July 7 - July 28)

On July 10, Seireki13ya released their third album — «metonymy 13 parallel».

The thing that does not exist, yet it exists — the 13th night.
A pastel-blurred parallel fantasy strives from four and ten to thirteen.
Inscription on the album’s obi.

The album features a large number of new authors who had not previously written songs for the group:
  • "MAHOROBA HEAVY" by Shaito.
  • "Two people sharing"/"Futarijime" by Kaichi Naito.
  • "Past Time Link" by keisei.
  • "Sweetie Charm" by Yasuha.
  • "One by One"/"Hitori Hitotsu" and "Future Perfect" by picco.
All these authors are Vocaloid producers, except for Kaichi Naito, who is a musician specializing in guitar EDM. Only "Grim." was written by a familiar author — Hayashi Takahiro, the leader of "Zenkimi-band," who had previously written the song "See you"/"Mata ne" for the group. Additionally, "MAHOROBA HEAVY" and "One by One"/"Hitori Hitotsu" are songs that the group has been performing at concerts for quite a long time, and they have already managed to become fan favorites. And "Future Perfect" is the group's first song partially written in English.

Speaking of lyrics, the vast majority were written by GESSHIRUI, and as already known, the lyrics for "Past Time Link" were penned by Yui Urari. It came as a surprise that the album also features another song with her lyrics — "Two people sharing"/"Futarijime," and Komochi, for the first time since working on "Face2," wrote new lyrics for the group, which were set to the song "Sweetie Charm."

I wrote the lyrics for "Sweetie Charm"!💭
This is the first "Seireki" album in almost three years, and the fact that we can move forward and continue this story is only thanks to your support!
These are songs into which I have put many feelings, and I hope you will love them!💫
From Nene Komochi's Twitter.

I would be happy if you spend a lot of time listening to these brightly shining, fantasy songs of the new Seireki13yaね॑⸜(\* ॑꒳ ॑\* )⸝⋆\*

I hope you will listen to "Past Time Link" and "Two people sharing"/"Futarijime," for which I wrote the lyrics, a lot as well💕

This album, where fantasy intertwines with reality, has absorbed many different emotions.
From Yui Urari's Twitter.

All the songs are filled with many feelings, and I love them very much⟡.·
It feels like Seireki13ya's future will be perfect~◜~◝⸝⸝

I'm surrounded by so many beautiful songs that my heart shines~⟡.·

The album also includes songs with lyrics by Komo-chan and Urarin, and they shine with their unique artistic worlds, I adore them~ෆ
From Yowa Minai's Twitter.

Now my voice is present in my favorite "Seireki" songs... I'm so happy, it's such a strange feeling...(,,ᴗ ᴗ,,)🤍🎀🍵🍎

I hope you will listen to them often(⑉•ᴗ•⑉)
From Kiri Soani's Twitter.

Some interesting facts shared at the talk livestream dedicated to the release of the album, which took place on July 10:
  • The members kept rehearsing right up until the start of the debut concert of the new lineup. Additionally, they performed "Aster Asterism" without choreography during the encore, as they hadn't rehearsed it with the new lineup yet, to show that they gave their all.
  • "MAHOROBA HEAVY" has become Minai's new favorite song. In it, she also revealed her new singing style for the first time.
  • Unlike her first experience writing lyrics for "Past Time Link," which was challenging, writing the lyrics for "Two people sharing"/"Futarijime" was much easier and fun for Urari. The song's cheerful nature contributed to this, and while her previous song was entirely dedicated to Seireki13ya, this time, the song is also about "Seireki" but through the lens of an independent fantasy story, which is in the spirit of the group's usual songs. Urari spent about three days writing the lyrics.
  • Urari has often expressed her admiration for GESSHIRUI's lyrics, and while working on "Past Time Link," she was inspired by his works. As we already know, he was very impressed with her first effort. According to Urari, the lyricist even told her that he couldn't have written anything like it. Urari also created the choreography for this song, marking her first experience choreographing on her own.
  • Similar to Urari, while Komochi's first lyrics were fully dedicated to Seireki13ya and more grounded in reality, "Sweetie Charm" is a song about the group through the lens of a special fantasy world. According to Komochi, this song unfolds in a parallel world and is not about the real members but their fantasy alter-egos performing not on Earth but somewhere in space.
  • The choreography for "One by One"/"Hitori Hitotsu" was entirely created by Minai, and, just like with Urari, it was also her first experience.
  • "Grim." is the first song in the group's discography that doesn't rely on expressing its ideas through something cute/beautiful, showing that "Seireki" is not just about dazzling shine. In this sense, it turned out unexpectedly deep. Komochi believes that such a song became possible only at the current stage of the group's development, and that expressions like those found in "Grim." would have been difficult to imagine in their songs earlier. This certainly indicates their growth.
  • Speaking about the album as a whole, Urari and Minai note that if we take the album "Twilight Noise," it was quite challenging for them because they were still tense and struggled with many things. However, in "metonymy 13 parallel," they were able to fully realize their potential. Since "Twilight Noise" consisted of older songs, it was hard for the girls to go beyond the images created by the original members. But the new album consists almost entirely of new songs, and considering all the experience Urari and Minai have gained over time, they managed to find their own unique singing style and successfully express their individuality.
And, in conclusion to the series of translations of Seireki13ya's solo livestreams leading up to the debut of their new lineup, I present to you the solo livestream of the group's leader, Nene Komochi. She shares her feelings and mindset on the eve of the new chapter in the group's history, talks about how Urari and Minai have grown during this time and how their growth has influenced the group, why she believes she shouldn't be the leader, what it's like for a performer to regularly lose fans, and how she almost left her beloved group herself. She also touched on the significance of the group's upcoming concert at Kinema Club, revealed how she envisions the group's future, and more. You can check out this passionate, emotional, and touching monologue here:

On July 5, the group held a livestream dedicated to Yui Urari's birthday, and below I have compiled some funny and interesting facts that were shared during it.

First, some facts about Urari:

Favorite food: previously katsudon, now sushi (and also cinnamon).
Favorite PreCure: Cure Dream (Yes! PreCure 5)
Favorite fruit: pineapple.
Favorite cosmetic product: highlighter.
What she would like to be in her next life: an orca, because it is her opposite (Meanwhile, Minai would like to be a cactus in her next life. But if she reincarnates as a human, she wants to be a baseball player).
Recent mishaps: staining clothes (with chocolate, etc.), bumping into things.
How she stays in shape: hula hoop.

Urari was once so afraid of losing her house keys that she... simply didn't lock her apartment.

Talking about areas where each of them excels, the members concluded that for Komochi it's work, for Urari it's household chores, and for Minai it's studying (although Minai disagrees with the latter).

During this stream, the girls also created and drew characters based on their own images inspired by the mahou shoujo anime PreCure, which Urari loves:

Cure Yowa-chan

cap_2024.07.05-%E6%98%9F%E6%AD%B413%E5%A4%9C-%E7%94%9F%E9%85%8D%E4%BF%A1%E2%AD%90%EF%B8%8F%E3%81%8A%E3%81%9F%E3%82%93%E3%81%98%E3%82%87%E3%81%86%E3%81%B3SP_00_11_54_03.jpg

  • Based on the image of an onigiri, which has long been associated with her due to the style in which she draws herself. Therefore, she wears a black-and-white dress, and her hair color in this form inverts and becomes white (or rather, ash-colored).
  • Joins the main team later in the story.
  • Represents something like a fairy of small size, roughly the size of a plastic cup.
  • Does not participate in battles, but only watches and helps her teammates by throwing them onigiri to replenish their strength.
  • The heart on her clothing changes color depending on her emotions. It is usually green.
  • She has eyelashes (this is important).

Cure Komo-chan

cap_2024.07.05-%E6%98%9F%E6%AD%B413%E5%A4%9C-%E7%94%9F%E9%85%8D%E4%BF%A1%E2%AD%90%EF%B8%8F%E3%81%8A%E3%81%9F%E3%82%93%E3%81%98%E3%82%87%E3%81%86%E3%81%B3SP_00_17_42_02.jpg

  • Based on the image of a star warrior, which refers to Seireki13ya.
  • Her outfit has yellow and gray tones, and the stars attached to it can be thrown like shurikens.
  • She can fly (but the duration of this ability is limited to 3 minutes).
  • Actually an enemy (or rather, an anti-hero), she infiltrates the main team as a spy, which refers to the "mischievous" constellation (literally "bad girl") that Komochi represents in Seireki13ya.
  • Her headgear can extend and she can use it to cause mischief: tripping someone, etc., making it look like someone else did it.
  • In her non-transformed state, she constantly wears black, and overall, her personality in her ordinary state is different from Komochi's personality.

Super Cure Urari

cap_2024.07.05-%E6%98%9F%E6%AD%B413%E5%A4%9C-%E7%94%9F%E9%85%8D%E4%BF%A1%E2%AD%90%EF%B8%8F%E3%81%8A%E3%81%9F%E3%82%93%E3%81%98%E3%82%87%E3%81%86%E3%81%B3SP_00_22_09_05-1.jpg

  • The design refers to the phrase "Mechakucha Fire!" (which roughly translates to "With Crazy Fire!"), coined by her, which expresses her passionate nature. Fire comes out of her boots, allowing her to fly with jet propulsion. She also has wings, but they only have a pivoting function.
  • Her special ability is to melt the frozen hearts of enemies.
  • She can control the ribbon on her outfit, helping her teammates in critical moments or wrapping it around enemies.
  • Being a native of the Evening Waiting constellation, like its inhabitants, she has telepathy, which allows her to communicate effectively with her teammates during battle.
  • She has a special picture book that she can use to show enemies sweet dreams, making them reconsider why they are doing something bad.
And here are some facts about Komochi from the livestream dedicated to her birthday, which took place on July 11:

Her favorite food recently is Tororo Soba. Komochi is known for her workaholic nature, and recently she’s been home only in the evenings, constantly helping with something at the office. As for her home leisure activities, she has recently become interested in watching movies, with the latest film she watched being Matching (2023). According to Komochi, she dislikes going to beauty salons because she doesn’t like making small talk during treatments, so she usually pretends to be asleep. Her motto for the coming year of her life is to enjoy everything that she finds fun.

On July 14, at Komochi’s birthday show, the group also presented new costumes designed by Fukumoto Emi:

▶︎
I made new costumes for Seireki13ya!

The cute crocheted details were made by Komo-chan. Urari-chan and Minai-chan also helped a lot with the sewing, and thanks to that, everything turned out great! 🪐

I wanted to create something that highlights the cute and cool sides of the current "Seireki," painting them in bright and shining colors💫💫

The members were so delighted with the resulting costumes. They looked so cute in them and gave such a wonderful performance. Seeing something like this feels like a chance that comes only a few times in a lifetime. I was very happy.
I’m glad to be alive.

Cute mischievous Komo-chan — the little devil responsible for the *cool* in "Seireki."

On stage, her cute mischief, with which she brilliantly spins in dance and sings, completely captivates the hearts of earthlings😈
GSh8eTpawAATSsv.jpg

To ignite a gentle fire in the hearts of people on Earth, submerged in the night, Urarin, the beautiful warrior, sings and dances cutely and brilliantly once again, fighting her way through🔥

I love her face when she sings.

The heart monster of our little doll Minai-chan seems scatterbrained and sleepy, but in fact, it is biding its time to capture the hearts of earthlings.

Unfortunately, Kiri Soani's break from Seireki13ya activities has been quite prolonged. She was absent from all events, including the aforementioned birthday streams. One of these was supposed to be dedicated to her birthday as well — yes, it so happened that the birthdays of the three current members of the group fall in July. Soani’s is on July 7, and her birthday coincides with Tanabata — a traditional Japanese festival where one of the customs is making wishes.

Actually, yesterday was my birthday~ 🎋
What wish did you make?
I wished to meet you as soon as possible⭐\*゜

Urari-chan, happy birthday again! 🌸🌸
May this year be wonderful for you ⸜(๑’ᵕ’๑)⸝💖
From Kiri Soani's Twitter.

Fortunately, on July 13, the date of her return was announced — July 23.

Everything is finally settled😢
A huge, huge thank you to everyone who has been waiting for me, and to the members who have given me a place to return to.
I'm sorry for making you worry.
Please wait a little longer.
From Kiri Soani's Twitter.

As a result, Soani reunited with the group on July 23rd, as promised.

GTK22o_bMAAr4GU.jpg

On the same day, there was another livestream dedicated to the release of the group's new album. Some interesting facts:
  • Soani's favorite song from the new album is "Pastelphose." She loves how the song balances upbeat vibes with some darker themes, like the kind of selfish thoughts girls can relate to.
  • This was Soani's first release ever.
  • Urari named the little fire mascots that Fukumoto Emi made for her costume as a head accessory. They are called Fi and Re.
  • At the next release event dedicated to the new album, Nobuhide Imamura will be present, and the girls will discuss their new release with him. So, there will likely be many interesting facts, which I will, of course, try to share with you.
The official Twitter account also hints that a long-awaited new music video from the group is in production.

On July 17, Not Secured, Loose Ends released their first single, “GENESIS”.

Tears play with reincarnation.
Inscription on the disc's obi.

The digital release of the single includes only the lead track, while the re-recorded versions of "REDERA" and "Doppelgänger" are exclusive to the physical edition (but they will likely also become part of the album "OUROARBOROSⅡ").

The new song was written by syva, with lyrics by GESSHIRUI. Below is the song's lyrics:

I felt like
I lost everything that day
Half of myself was cut off
The madness
That was sinking inside me
Was caught in a whirlpool of chaos
Regret upon
Regret upon regret
Only your gaze hurt me

Love and hate like crazy
好きよto kill xxx 浮世\*
Not Secured,Loose Ends
I live to shout this all over the world
The fire burning in the depths of his eyes is truly vindictive
Can you face me?
We live to shout this
All over the world

The way you and I should live

I felt like
I lost everything that day
I could disappear from someone's memory
This concept was far beyond the fog
Emptiness echoes
Did you suffer? I suffered
Tears play with reincarnation

A requiem that surrenders
Itself to reverberation rings
That's what it sounds like to me
I'm sure this is the signal
I'm ready to give myself to it

If you can hear this voice
Would you please raise your fist?
If you can hear this voice
Would you please raise your fist?
If you can hear this voice
Would you please raise your fist?
Instinct wants to respond to this cry

Love and hate like crazy
好きよto kill xxx 浮世\*
Not Secured,Loose Ends
I live to shout this all over the world
The fire burning in the depths of
His eyes is truly vindictive
Can you face me?
We live to shout this
All over the world
Together
I live to shout this all over the world
好きよto kill xxx 浮世\*
Not Secured,Loose Ends
This dream would not be possible
Without you
I'm willing to accept pain
*"好きよ" translates to "I love [you]," and "浮世" means "this fleeting world."

I carried all the feelings of those days on my shoulders and sang and shouted incredibly carefully. This is a powerful, emotional song, worthy of being the first for NSLE. Listen, and you will immediately understand that it's a damn cool single! After all, I will always be here, shouting this all over the world.
From Mei Yui Mei’s Twitter.

This is our first single as NSLE, and I'm very happy about its release! I sang with the exciting feeling that everything is starting from now on.

You can also read the translation of the group’s first interview, where the members discuss the new single among other things.

On July 17, it was announced that Hashibata Kanari (ex-this is not a business), who is also active as a songwriter, is joining codomomental. He has produced/written songs for many idol groups, including uijin, Higeki no heroine syndrome, TENRIN, DEVIL ANTHEM, STRAY SHEEP CLAYMORE, Jyujyu, cinder_ella, 2Q Omega, Re:RIPLIE, and more.

Along with this, it was revealed that a new project, the idol group “USHIMITSU” (丑03-USHIMITSU-), is being launched under Hashibata Kanari's production and codomomental's management. Auditions are open (application deadline is August 18).

You can listen to a sample of the future group's music on the official website.

Sagara “Hide Bite the Sun” Tsuzura finally got a Twitter account.

GS50Pn4b0AEKAur.jpg

As promised, let’s talk about the meaning of her name (艸楽"Hide Bite the Sun"廿楽). “Sagara” (艸楽) consists of two kanji characters, the first meaning “grass” and the second “enjoyment/comfort/music.” Apparently, this word is used only as a traditional Japanese surname (and I couldn’t find information about its etymology). Tsuzura (廿楽) also consists of two kanji characters, the second being the same as the second character in “Sagara,” and the first meaning “twenty.” This is also a traditional Japanese surname, referring to one of the Japanese clans originating from a group of gagaku musicians who served at the imperial court in Kurama (Kyoto) during the Heian period and formed a group of 20 people. “Hide Bite” might be a calque from the Japanese “隠れ嚙む,” which means “to hide and bite.”

Unfortunately, the release of the upcoming TOKYO TEFUTEFU EP "IIIIly," which will consist of the members' solo songs, has been postponed from July 31 to August 7.

The cover art for the release has been revealed:

GTF_pUiakAAfgmO.jpg

As you can see, it includes a description of the mini-album's concept.

The tracklist has also been revealed:
  1. eclipse
  2. Yasoukyoku -Gashiki- (?) (夜想曲-我式-)
  3. Fukagyaku (?) (不歌逆)
  4. Nil∴
  5. can you hear(A)me (Toukyou Chou View (?) (東狂蝶View))
Notably, the fifth track of the release was originally Kodama Ema's song:

Earlier, on July 3, the group held a talk livestream where the members shared their mindset ahead of the upcoming tour. The conversation also featured a deep and candid discussion about why, despite the group's considerable age by idol industry standards and the many challenges they have faced, the girls still wish to continue this tough journey. The members talk about how the recent accident affected them, touch on the uniqueness of their relationships with one another, explain why individual fan support is as valuable as collective support, and more. You can check out this substantive, sincere, and interesting conversation below:

07.04. Rokudemonai yoru.
The first day of the tour. Everything starts here. This tour is so important to us that it would not be an exaggeration to say that, in anticipation of our future performances in 2024, we are putting everything into it. We constantly strive to arm ourselves with something new, not content with what we have. "The tour started! It was fun! I'm glad I came!" — I can work so hard only because I have the “Mirages” who say these words to me. Each of you is great. I want to more and more eagerly and wholeheartedly enjoy this tour and make it a tour that takes a special place in our history. Somehow, it sounds like poetry, but the point is that I, whenever it may be, just want to create incredibly fun concerts together with you, our “Mirages”! This was our first concert at Rokudemonai yoru, and it was so amusing and touching when the “Mirages” made us a hanamichi before our performance. I was happy!☺
From Yuzuriha Ouhi’s Twitter.

Also recently, the number of streams of the group's songs on streaming services exceeded 500,000.

Zenbu Kimi no Sei da announced their 16th (first in the new lineup) single titled “Rengeshou” (?) (蓮華粧), set to be released on August 14.

According to the official website, the new release will only include the lead track, with no B-sides.

An article on Tokyo Sports shed light on the future activities of Kurumi Sora.

Kurumi Sora (27), a former member of the group Kamen Joshi, known as a "character who breaks stereotypes" and a "scandalous idol," will resume her singing career this fall for the first time since ending her activities as an idol. On September 11, she will release the track "sanzen decoy," which will also be part of her first mini-album "αΩ," set to be released on October 2 under the codomomental INC. label.

In November 2016, two months after joining the idol agency, she debuted on stage as part of a trainee group, and a year later quickly rose to the main group of Kamen Joshi - Armor Girls. On February 2, 2020, she left the group and the agency. Since then, she has attracted attention with her performances in rap battles and the show "Breaking Down," as well as her candid statements on late-night entertainment programs.

Sora says she rarely heard herself being called a "scandalous idol" and finds it amusing: "I never thought about what might interest the public, I just actively lived my life. Apparently, my character seemed unusual to people. I never thought about how to create a buzz or scandal."

She adds: "I'm grateful to my surroundings and my DNA, which shaped my character. Many people might not want to be like me, but while my peers were enjoying college life, I gave it up to perform on numerous stages and received support from various people. For someone as impatient as me, who quickly gets used to everything and constantly seeks new sensations, this was a much better youth. Though, of course, it was sometimes lonely without a boyfriend."

What led to the resumption of her musical career? "I thought I was done with performances because I had worked so hard in groups that it led to a nervous breakdown," she explains, "but my views changed thanks to participating in rap battles."

"I realized how lucky I was from the start: I had costumes, a stage, a ready fan base, and prepared songs. Seeing how many rappers, often independent, write their own lyrics and music, arrange performances in clubs, pay DJs, record themselves, rent equipment, prepare auto-tune, and even record CDs, I understood that I could never do that. But at the same time, I thought it was really cool... Because I couldn't do it myself. And when many rap fans recognized me, I got more new fans who asked for my tracks. And I started thinking more seriously about it."

A significant motivation for her was DOTAMA: "I met DOTAMA, whom I really like, and he said he wanted me to release my own music. I wanted him to acknowledge me, so I decided to return to music! And I also fell in love with rap."

She hopes to expand her connections in the music industry: "People often asked why I didn't release tracks. Many rappers invited me to perform at their events or record joint songs. So, I would like to participate in events with my friends, acquaintances, and those I owe something to, and create songs with them! And also, I dream of a solo concert!" — she shares her plans with a sparkle in her eyes.

What are her goals as an artist and talent? "I want to be like misono, who also works as an artist. She is both cute and interesting and participates in various entertainment shows. I'm very inconsistent, so I want to do different things, not just a music career. In my opinion, the hardest thing is to continue something, so, including for the sake of being able to continue making music, I want to do other things as well" — she expresses her enthusiasm.

In conclusion, addressing her fans, she said: "Those who loved me as an idol completely left me, and it was a bit sad. But if you liked how I sang and danced, now is the time to come back! I'm sorry that my performances used to be only at events where, so to speak, only the "bright" rappers gathered. I want to not only perform rap but also do something that is clearly in the idol style, so it would be great to hear your applause and cheers again. Of course, I will also perform songs aimed at those who only recently found out about me, so I hope I can become a bridge between idol fans and hip-hop lovers!"

If you visit the official Twitter account of KAQRIYOTERROR, you can see that its name has changed to "幽世TERROR." Does this mean that we can expect a reboot of the group soon? Another intriguing detail is that the account follows Higaminari Yuchiomi (although this may not signify anything in particular).

As promised, here’s a summary of the most interesting moments from the online release event dedicated to the new Seireki13ya album, "metonymy 13 parallel," where Nobuhide Imamura detailed the creation of the album and its concept, as well as shared numerous facts about its songs:

The director observed the members and, at some point, realized that it was time for a new album. As you know, it was announced back on March 17 and was initially titled "Comet Trance Sprechchor." Since this was before Runo’s departure, her presence was naturally expected to significantly influence the album’s content. At that time, only half of the songs were completed. However, the group then went through a shock due to the incident involving Runo's departure, and Soani joined the group, which naturally had a significant impact on the album's production. Once the final shape of the album took form, it was decided to change its name to something that better reflected its content. Imamura-san believes that by carefully observing the members, he managed to successfully express the individuality of the current lineup in this album.

"The thing that does not exist, yet it exists — the 13th night" is how the album's concept is described. According to the director, although Seireki13ya is primarily associated with something cute, the original concept of the group, which he developed together with Kisaragi Megumi, was precisely this phrase — "The thing that does not exist, yet it exists — the 13th night." An impossible world line. And an album was the ideal medium to fully explore this complex concept, which would have been impossible to achieve with a single, and Imamura-san did his best to take full advantage of this.

Now, regarding the individual songs:

whistle (kuchibue)

Once, Komochi was filming a cover of a song in this room. It was a song from my generation’s band, JUDY AND MARY. At that time, GESSHIRUI and I were having a meeting, we heard it and were like: "Wow!" It was a time when Towa was competing with GESSHIRUI for the best song lyrics. And so, it turned out that Towa left, and the lyrics written by GESSHIRUI became "whistle" ("kuchibue"). Our idea was to make it a song in the style of JUDY AND MARY, during their later period, something like the light songs they occasionally released, like ‘Cheese "PIZZA"’ or ‘Tokidoki.’ These were super hits. And I thought: "It’s been a while since we had something like this. There’s nothing you can hum while walking down the street," and that’s how this song was born. So, at that moment, I felt it was something fateful. It’s quite an amazing thing.
The song was meant to be a cheerful tune to give people a lift when they were feeling down, and in that regard, it truly served its purpose. Even though it was officially released only after the reboot of Seireki13ya, it was already performed by Komochi in several solo performances after she was left alone in the group. And according to Komochi, it really helped her get through that very tough period. And, according to the director, maybe for some listeners, this song is associated only with the painful memories of that time, but "if it weren’t for it, I would have left, and maybe Komochi would have too." So, in this regard, it became a very important song for the group, bridging the gap between the past "Seireki" and the present. The director (with Komochi’s blessing) intends to slap those who turn their noses up at it.

Aster Asterism

As the group’s fans know well, this song was originally titled "yocto asterism," released as a single and included in the group’s first album. Since it was a song that represented the then-current lineup of the group, it wasn’t performed live for a considerable time after Seireki13ya’s reboot. Later, it was reborn as "exa asterism" (you can read about it here), and the updated Seireki13ya performed it for the first time on the first day of the micro pupil ambitious tour (December 22). A limited pre-listening of the song was held shortly thereafter. Imamura-san was inspired to give this song a second life by the efforts of Urari and Minai (and, of course, Komochi’s tireless dedication). The decision not to completely rewrite the lyrics, keeping references to the original members of the group, was made from the start. Additionally, according to Minai, when the reference to her constellation became part of the lyrics of "exa asterism," she fully realized herself as a member of Seireki13ya.

MAHOROBA HEAVY

The director reminded everyone that each member of the group serves as a muse for specific songs. That is, Seireki13ya’s songs always have a foundation based on the image of one of the members. For "MAHOROBA HEAVY," the muses were Minai and Komochi (although this doesn’t mean that the images of Urari and Soani didn’t influence this song at all). Imamura-san notes that an important event preceding the creation of this song was a moment when Minai finally fully opened up to the other members. There was a moment when they truly became close friends (unfortunately, no one could remember exactly what it was).

Before that moment, it can’t be said that Minai wasn’t trying at all. But she was kind of... here and there. Not that she did anything wrong, not at all. It just gave the impression that she was like a leaf in the wind, floating this way and that. But around the time I started thinking about this song, Minai somehow changed, in a good way. And this change forms the basis of the song’s image. I decided that I wanted to make the song reflect this.
Additionally, when discussing this song, the director points out that it’s filled with words that had never been used before in Seireki13ya’s lyrics. Emphasizing its role in the group’s discography, he noted that while emotionality plays a significant role in many Seireki13ya songs, in this song, he deliberately tried to minimize the emotional intensity.

Unfortunately, due to time constraints, Imamura-san had to skip discussing "Two people sharing" ("Futarijime"), "Past Time Link," and "Sweetie Charm," leaving their stories to be told another time by their respective authors — Urari and Komochi (although they already discussed these songs at the previous release event).

One by One/Hitori Hitotsu

As a song, it was created as an album track, so I did something that could only be expressed within the context of this album. Something that couldn’t have been written for another album, or something that shouldn’t be written for a lead track. Or rather, it’s not that it shouldn’t be written, but it’s something that almost never appears in the group's lyrics. For example, there are some slightly philosophical moments, all presented through the lens of something cool, cute, and danceable — that’s what I think we achieved.
You could say I approached it in the same vein as "Noisy." I anticipated that this song would become a favorite for many on the album, even though it’s not the lead track."

Future Perfect

The decision to write certain parts of the song in English wasn't just a stylistic choice.

Yui Urari: When it comes to the English parts of "Future Perfect," when I found out their meaning, I felt that it was too much.
Nobuhide Imamura: I thought you’d say that!
Yui Urari: So, I’m glad they're written in English.
Nobuhide Imamura: Yes, surprisingly, if they were written in Japanese, you might not have been able to sing them.
Yui Urari: Yes, and there are things that are sometimes difficult to fully convey in words, aren’t there?
Nobuhide Imamura: Absolutely!
Yui Urari: And by expressing it in English, I feel like we can communicate those things to a much larger audience.
Nobuhide Imamura: As Urari said, I wanted to create a song where you could say something that would be too much to say in Japanese, something you might not dare to say yourself.

The fact that English worked well with the song's melody also played a role. Another aspect of working on "Future Perfect" was that, while the members usually work on expressing their parts individually, striving to infuse them with their own personality, this time the girls consulted a lot with the staff about how to express the English parts of the lyrics, and it felt like they reached the final result through a collaborative effort. And according to the director, in this song, he tried to bring Urari and Minai more to the forefront because, considering Komochi’s tenure in the group, they sometimes might unintentionally fade into the background. He even calls it the song of Urari and Minai.

Pastelphose (metonymy 13 parallel Ver.)

Imamura-san noted that although this song was written before Urari joined the group, its concept ("when girls fall in love, they can transform") fits her image very well since she loves the mahou shoujo anime PreCure, which is about girls transforming into warriors.

Grim.

First and foremost, the director emphasizes that in the past, he always avoided creating anything like this within Seireki13ya. This is a song that came into being thanks to Yui Urari.

Nobuhide Imamura: "Grim." ends on a rather dark note, creating the feeling that we are being offered a choice: "to overthrow the sun or those stars." After all, it’s fiction. Of course, it’s fiction, it’s definitely not non-fiction. Tracks like "Grim." I consider to be a continuation of Seireki's emotional songs with fantasy elements, like "Romantic Escape." Yes. However, we never managed to make such songs convincing before. For example, if it were just Minai, it wouldn’t have been convincing enough, or if it were just Komochi, it wouldn’t have been enough either. There has to be this kind of fantasy-like credibility. Although fantasy is fiction, and it usually doesn’t need credibility. But, how to put it, there needed to be a sense that it’s not just fiction, but something more? It’s very difficult to express in words, but without Urari, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve this. And this is also the kind of song that could only find its place in an album, not as a single.
When you put together a live set, adding various elements makes it more interesting for the audience, doesn’t it? When you see that it’s not just fun, not just cuteness or coolness, to put it simply, I think that’s what gives everything greater depth. And previously, "Seireki" couldn’t do that, but now we can create such songs, and I’m very happy about that. Of course, I love how the group was before, but now, when each member has developed a much more expressive image, I feel that "Seireki" has become more human. There’s nothing to complain about at all.

Yui Urari: When I first read the lyrics of the song, it was so scary that I couldn’t hold back my voice, I liked it so much, and I couldn’t stop trembling. The world it creates is just magnificent; I love it so much. And also, there’s a line in the lyrics, "Please don't take away the hopes and dreams I hold onto," which I sing, and it sounds like a phrase from this fantastical story, but at the same time, there’s something real in it. And I really like that.

Nobuhide Imamura: Yeah. How should I put it, this song was created after the incident with Runo. And I’m not trying to say that Runo was bad, just that, how should I say, there are such unpleasant systems in life. Especially in our time, in the world of the internet, where people often criticize each other, even when it’s not their business. I understand that it’s just the times we live in, and I’m not saying it’s good or bad. But this happens, and because of it, we definitely lose something.
When I was working on this song, I wondered, "How many times will 'Seireki' be able to perform this song?" Usually, you try not to think about that. After all, you want to stay together with everyone for as long as possible. But still, you have to take reality into account, because there’s no guarantee that such a day will never come. So, on the one hand, I want this song to remain a fantasy, and on the other, I want it to make us think. It’s hard to explain, but it’s a kind of album filled with "a middle-aged man’s overcomplicated things" that I want you to think about with these songs. And this is an appeal not only to the fans but to society as a whole, and I tried to present it all through the lens of "Seireki."
"It has a strangely pleasing fear" — I’m so glad you say that! And yes, for especially emotional people like Urari, it’s sure to be impactful. I myself, working on it, thought, "Wow, this really touches the soul." That’s why I deliberately chose such a title for it.
Overall, speaking of this album, as I've already said, it’s a "Seireki" album, which I finally wanted to create after being in a somewhat relaxed state, and so I wanted to make something that could be loved for a lifetime. But there’s also something like this, for example, when you love BUMP OF CHICKEN for having that one specific song. It’s like it’s an important addition to the overall picture for you, and so you never stop loving the band. That kind of song, which perhaps not everyone will like — that’s what I wanted to make out of "Grim." So now, when on streaming services everyone can listen to any songs they want as many times as they want, I don’t think anyone will listen to this song a hundred times. But I hope it will become a song that someone can listen to once a year or half a year, on that evening or morning when they’re feeling especially down. And by making it the closing song of the album, I hoped it could add some kind of strange conviction to it. Well, I don’t know how many times we’ll be able to perform it at concerts, but I consider it a very important song for us.
Below, I present to you the translation of the first Seireki13ya livestream featuring Kiri Soani. The girls talk about how their debut concert with the new lineup went, share their impressions, introduce their new companion, and express the hopes and aspirations they have for the future of the renewed group. The video also features a lot of very funny moments and provides an excellent glimpse into the current chemistry within the group:

Unfortunately, Soani is once again unable to participate in the group's activities for certain reasons. Let's hope she returns soon.

On August 7th, the long-awaited EP by TOKYO TEFUTEFU, "IIIIly," was released, containing the members' solo songs. The release featured a couple of new authors who hadn’t written songs for the group before. Specifically, "eclipse" and "Nil∴" were written by DAIKI, a member of the band Made in Me., and "Irreversible" was written by 451 (also known as Yokoi Takayuki), a guitarist who had previously collaborated with codomomental only as a performer. "Nocturne -GASHIKI-" was written by syva. As for "can you hear 'A' me," it was also written by DAIKI. The lyrics for all the songs were written by GESSHIRUI.

The long-awaited solo songs. A disc that embodies the souls of the four of us.
The solo song I've dreamed of — I can't believe this day has come. I’m so happy. The feelings hidden in each of our hearts, the words that can only be conveyed to you through singing. Feel our souls within them.
From Yuzuriha Ouhi's Twitter.

Three and a half years, companions who have chosen to continue living here, the strength that embraces everything, including suffering and pain, the feelings of the four of us that seem to overflow. This is a disc that is incredibly dear to my heart.
From Mary Lust's Twitter.

A song into which I poured my entire soul, all my feelings, and love over these three years. Encased in a form that will forever remain in reality, may it reach you.ᐟ.ᐟ
Each of the solo songs is memorable and resonates in the heart only because so many feelings have been poured into them. These are songs so dear to my heart that I'm ready to cry. I sang to reach you. It's like an expression of my resolve to keep singing here. A promise.
The fact that I, who was nobody, can now sing on stage even alone, is all thanks to your love. It’s because you shower me with love! What always lifts me up — me, who is constantly afraid and barely ready to give up — is you.
From Chimura Shifumi's Twitter.

May the love of the four of us reach you.
This is an album overflowing with our love, our dreams, and our innermost feelingsっ ̫ -˘ As soon as you listen to it, you will immediately understand, I promise. Let's paint a dream with this great love.
From Kagari Kohaku Sekai's Twitter.

A few facts from the recent livestream dedicated to the release:
  • Initially, Chimura Shifumi's solo song was supposed to feature a guest vocalist.
  • Kagari Kohaku Sekai's solo song is meant to showcase her hidden rebellious nature ("I'm actually a rebel," as she sings in "Butterfly-Hi").
  • Including the group's cover/interpretation of Kodama Ema's song "can you hear 'A' me" in the release was a late decision and wasn't originally planned.
  • The "∴" in Mary Lust's solo song title "Nil∴" is a mathematical symbol meaning "therefore." Thus, the title implies something like "Zero, and therefore..."
If you purchase 10,000 yen or more worth of goods during the online sales, which will run in parallel with the online release events dedicated to the EP, you will receive a demo version of Tokanai Nonno's solo song "Fortunetune." It can be said with certainty that this exclusive opportunity will not come again. The next online release events are scheduled for August 24 and 29 (8:00 PM Japan time).

Meanwhile, the group’s releases on streaming services periodically appear in the top charts of foreign countries. For example, the song "siscatharsis" recently made it into the top J-Pop songs in Romania.

On August 14, Zenbu Kimi no Sei da’s first single with the current lineup will be released, and its international title has already been revealed: "Lotus Flower Cosmetics." The digital edition of the release will contain only the lead track, while the physical edition will also include re-recorded versions of "Neojealous Melochaos" and "TadaKimiTo." The lead song was written and arranged by YuuKankaku, a Vocaloid producer, under the supervision of mikitoP (who wrote "Heavenlyheaven" and "ICE CREAM REBEL" for the group), with lyrics by GESSHRUI.

Meanwhile, futatsuna has added a new song to their repertoire.

GESSHIRUI, the tireless lyricist of codomomental, has started a text blog, and below I present to you his first post. It’s so interesting and substantial that I couldn't resist translating it. The author discusses what motivated him to take this step, the changes he's recently undergone, as well as some fascinating facts and behind-the-scenes details about the latest codomomental releases. This provides a valuable opportunity to gain new perspectives on them and uncover even more significance and meaning:

I want to sleep, illuminated by the light of garbage.

It feels as if I’m drifting in this world, clinging to the information I receive through my eyes, like a picture of dynamic ideas based on someone somewhere, and to the information I receive through my ears—even the sounds of the wind and city noise. My name is GESSHIRUI, and I call myself a lyricist.

My job is to create song lyrics, dozens each year. And sometimes I do other things as well. I do what AI could do instantly, but I spend a lot of time on it. Right now. That’s my job. Speaking of my motivation, I recently had an epiphany about what motivates me the most. What matters most to me is that in the course of our work, we create works that remain in this world, so sometimes I think there’s no real need to leave notes in places like this. But sometimes, I also feel that if I want to write something, I should just do it without worrying about anything. That's how I ended up here. Although I’m not capable of getting attached to specific places and might close this blog on a whim, if it feels comfortable here, perhaps I’ll stay.

Mid-2024, unbearable heat. Lately, I’ve noticed (as if evaluating someone else, not myself) that I’ve started working as I used to. Of course, I’m involved in almost all the projects. Before this, around 2020, about four years ago, even though I was creating works, I stopped understanding what I wanted to create. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy the work or didn’t want to do it. I’m here because I want to be, both then and now. I just had the feeling that I wasn’t really there in it. For the most part, I write songs for girl groups, and if I think about it now, maybe it’s no surprise that I started feeling that way. At that time, I was in a strange cycle and couldn’t analyze myself.

And honestly, the fact that I’m now repeatedly feeling the urge to write something seems interesting or rather strange, even to me.

Although I mentioned above that it happened suddenly, in reality, I just started listening to music. I mean, it’s not that I wasn’t listening to music at all—I was just thinking too much and didn’t have time to listen to anything. It sounds pretentious, but it’s true. Another reason is that I didn’t want to create my works under the influence of something else. I won’t succumb to influence; I don’t want to be influenced—this is something I feel toward the songs themselves, although it might sound disrespectful to the performers. Speaking of my recent works:

futatsuna — "reimei"
Seireki13ya — "metonymy 13 parallel"
Not Secured, Loose Ends — "GENESIS"
TOKYO TEFUTEFU — "IIIIly"
Zenbu Kimi no Sei da — "Lotus Flower Cosmetics"

The singles "IIIIly" by TOKYO TEFUTEFU and "Lotus Flower Cosmetics" by Zenbu Kimi no Sei da will be released on August 7 and 14, respectively, and will be available on streaming services. Well, while working on these projects, I felt this strange creative urge. That’s why I’m writing this text now.

I want to talk in detail about my feelings regarding each work. This platform allows for paid content, right? Money is important, of course, but it’s equally important to give people who are interested the chance to access it. Free access has its advantages, but there’s a risk that something might offend someone, and so it seems to me that restricted access makes sense. After all, there are people who nitpick words and deliberately spread vile malice.

Let’s get back to the topic. Among the latest works, "metonymy 13 parallel," "GENESIS," "IIIIly," and "Lotus Flower Cosmetics" had a particularly strong impact on me. It might sound strange since I wrote them myself, but that’s genuinely how I feel. All of these works were a breath of fresh air for me, especially the singles from NSLE and Zenbu Kimi no Sei da. To avoid any misunderstandings about "reimei" by futatsuna (I want to save this part for a paid article), I’ll say that the futatsuna project began (now it's starting to change) with the producer being determined to encourage the growth of Chimura Shifumi, so I tried to ensure that the new works would be a continuation of everything that came before. But this only pertains to the foundational aspects of the musical works, not the group as a whole. After all, artists cannot escape their past, and they build their future based on it. This is an unchanging fact, no matter where you are. So while it may seem that "reimei" by futatsuna is something new, in reality, I preserved the essential foundations. And that’s why this song is evolving and will continue to evolve. One day, it will undoubtedly complete its mission, and the current members of the group, including Chimura Shifumi herself, will give it a new mission. Fans have probably already noticed how this is happening. It’s intriguing, isn’t it?

As for NSLE, I perceive it as a new group that has embarked on a journey with new members led by Mei Yui Mei. It was refreshing and fun. Really fun. And I was glad. It sounds silly, like I have no vocabulary, but that’s how I actually feel. First of all, I want to express my gratitude to syva, the amazing author, musician, and sound engineer who wrote this song. And, of course, thanks to Mei Yui Mei, Higaminari Yuchiomi, Yuzuriha Ouhi, and Kisaragi Megumi for giving me the opportunity to enjoy something new. I haven’t stopped listening to "GENESIS" since its release.

"Lotus Flower Cosmetics" by Zenbu Kimi no Sei da was both a painful and delightful experience. But when I finished, I simply fell in love with this song. During this journey that began in 2015, many different people came and went in the group, but in the end, on March 15, 2023, Kisaragi Megumi, Motochika Kasane, Mei Yui Mei, Kotetsu, and Nene Komochi led us all to this place—Nippon Budokan—and I’m very grateful to them for that. And in the new journey, Muku and Hino Hikari have joined Megumi, Mei, and Komochi, and I hope we have many more exciting adventures ahead of us. I’ll write more about this song later.

The work that gave me a bit of courage was "IIIIly" by TOKYO TEFUTEFU. Whether you understand this or not doesn’t matter, but still, when something happens, I, just like all the other fans, experience very complex emotions. Absolutely the same. The members of TOKYO TEFUTEFU have spent a lot of time together building the group, and the producer, who took a short break, has also regained strength—or you could say, has come to his senses—and started actively creating many works. One of these works was this collection of solo songs. I’ll write more later about the songs themselves, but let me touch on something else. The first song I wrote for this release was "Irreversible" by Chimura Shifumi. 451 and the producer cheerfully hummed the melody while working on the track. 451 had many talents from the beginning, but both before this and now, he primarily focused on performance. And this song became something that fully reflected his feelings and talent. The plot came together instantly, and then I wrote the lyrics (more on this later). After that, there was Tokanai Nonno's song (who is no longer with us), then Mary Lust's "Nil∴," Yuzuriha Ouhi's "Nocturne -GASHIKI-,"= and Kagari Kohaku Sekai's "eclipse." The authors of these songs are DAIKI, syva, and 451.

Kagari Kohaku Sekai once told me that she always dreamed of me writing lyrics for her solo song, though at the time, I took it as a formal politeness. I'm a bit of a difficult person, so in that moment, I simply thought something like, "Tha-anks, glad to hear you say that..." Whether it was formal politeness or not, it's easy to understand just by listening to the song. Thank you so much to all of you for singing with such seriousness and for approaching the song and lyrics with great care. Your singing was the highest praise for me. And it made me very happy. Also, I cried a lot. I don't write lyrics with the goal of making everyone empathize with them, but to some extent, I write them only for the performers. And since writing with the performers in mind and pouring an absurd amount of emotion into the lyrics is part of my style, I thought about these performers a lot and cried a lot. And all their solo songs were truly distinguished by their amazing performances; they turned out to be really incredible works, and I'm very happy about that. They’re being released tomorrow, and many of you have probably already received the CDs, right? I want you to listen to them a lot. And above all, please shower these performers with great love. A dangerous moment was working on Mary Lust's song. I was writing lyrics to DAIKI's music, which I adore, but I also related it too much to myself, and it was dangerous, I was on the brink of death. Of course, this is a song about Mary Lust, it's Mary Lust's song and no one else's, but I selfishly found many parts in it that I could sympathize with, and that was a deadly danger.

And, of course, later on, I will definitely write about "metonymy 13 parallel" by Seireki13ya, led by Nene Komochi. I was happy just with the fact that I was able to create a third album with her, and since I had been watching her growth from the closest distance all this time, my emotions were especially strong. I think there was a lot said about the album at the release events, so I’d like to talk about it from a different angle, but what left a particularly deep impression on me was working on the last song — "Grim.", a work by Hayashi Takahiro. So to speak, the emotional placement or presentation — I was able to express something that was previously impossible, and it's all thanks to Yui Urari, Yowa Minai, and Kiri Soani. Thank you.

Just by writing down my thoughts like this, I’ve already written quite a large amount of text. I started this because I wanted to talk more deeply about my works in a secluded place, so maybe this is exactly what I need. I'm even a bit excited about the idea of writing about my works. On X (formerly Twitter), there are too many unfamiliar people now, and I lost interest, so I deleted my account. But now I plan to publish my writings in this format, to be able to talk about my works in a secluded place. So, if you're interested, I'd be glad if you'd read it.

In our time of social media, there's a lot being said and a lot happening around. Even if you don't want to see something, you sometimes come across it anyway. It all reminds me of garbage. The good, the bad, and even myself — all of it is part of it. But the only light I see is the opportunity to create what I love with the people I love, in the way that I love. That is my only light. What will surprise me about these people’s singing this time? How will they perform their songs, and how will they present them at the concert? Just imagining that fills me with the strength to create new works. And also — seeing the smiles and tears of those who love these people. And I want to fall asleep every night, embracing this feeling of happiness. I want the fleeting moments of my scarce sleep to be filled only with this light. Such sweet thoughts inadvertently come to my mind. Such dreams I can't help but imagine.

Zenbu Kimi no Sei da – “It’s no longer just ‘morbid cuteness,’ but something much heavier and more oppressive”

zenkimi-interview.png

Translation of a recent interview with Zenbu Kimi no Sei da, in which the members discuss how the group is experiencing its new beginning, why the new "Zenkimi" members have not yet set a new goal, the reasons why Muku and Hikari were accepted into "Zenkimi," details about Miruru Latte's departure, what makes the group's new release special, and more. And since many of you may not have had the chance to get to know the new members yet, this interview gives you a great opportunity to learn more about them.

Last two weeks in codomomental (August 11 - August 25)

On August 15, it was announced that Kiri Soani would be leaving Seireki13ya.

Thank you for always supporting Seireki13ya; this is the group's management.

Today, we have an announcement regarding Kiri Soani.
Due to various circumstances, we have come to the conclusion that it is impossible for her to continue her activities within the group, and therefore, effective today, August 15th (Thursday), her contract has been terminated, and she has been dismissed.
We apologize to all the "Night Minions" who always support us and to all concerned parties for this sudden announcement.

As for future performances, the remaining members intend to continue giving their best as a trio, so we hope for your warm support.

On August 14, the long-awaited first single of Zenbu Kimi no Sei da in its current lineup, "Lotus Flower Cosmetics," was released.

I can’t control myself anymore.

Unsuitable [for norms], out of place, disgusting, dancing with cosmic dust and debris—I want you to love me, no matter how vile I am.

Maybe you don't know it, but you belong only to me.
Inscription on the album's obi.

A tempest of emotions, anticipation, and despair.
The feelings I couldn't control that spilled out are far more disgusting than you think.

Released in 2015, "Neojealous Melochaos."
10 years have passed, and the emotions of that time are resurfacing, and I remember the heaviness of the beginning of that journey, and this song also resonates with the present in many ways.
It has both coolness and vibrancy, and it's so much fun to listen to how much it changes that it's hard to believe it's all part of one song!
By mixing in some playfulness, the song took on a softer sound. And with lyrics that balance on the verge of what is permitted, the result is the quintessence of "Zenkimi" spirit!

Thank you to everyone who bought the CD! Let this poisonous charm captivate you!
This is a song created with incredible care and attention to detail. I want to perform it with the utmost reverence each time, in the true spirit of "Zenkimi."
My favorite melody and lyrics are in Mei's part, they keep playing in my head.

Try to guess which part it is!^^

The long-awaited single, where the intensity of love for you is extremely strong, is filled with the spirit of Zenbu Kimi no Sei da (`・ω・´)

Listen to it over and over and love it with all your heart! (`・ω・´)

This is a song that we performed together with Megumin, Mei-chan, Muku, and Hikari, pouring various shades of love into it.

This is Zenbu Kimi no Sei da!
From Nene Komochi's Twitter.

This is a song about incredibly strong and uncontrollable feelings for you, a song filled with heavy love 🔪❤️
Have you already ordered the CD?
I hope you love it.
From Muku's Twitter.

This is a song that openly reveals the wild side of love that is usually hidden from others.
It's our first single in the current lineup.
I will continue to grow as a member of "Zenkimi" and sing this song with reverence, to convey all my feelings to you without any filters! 🔥🔥🔥
The five of us sang this song, pouring all our heavy, uncontrollable, overflowing love for you into it!
With "Lotus Flower Cosmetics," I plan to grow more and more🔥
Listen and love it.

You can also check out the translation of the group's latest interview, where the members discuss the new single in detail, among other things.

On August 13, TOKYO TEFUTEFU held another talk livestream dedicated to the release of their new EP, "IIIIly," which was notable for the presence of Nobuhide Imamura. As you might guess, it turned out to be extremely interesting and informative: the director shared many details about the creation of the mini-album, the meaning behind the lyrics, and even some surprising facts about the members that might surprise even long-time fans who have been following their journey. I promise to translate the most important moments of this stream later.

The feeling that I'm lonely is surely just my strange conviction, but I can't get rid of this habit. How long will I keep pretending to be lonely? I should be wildly happy, even to the point of indecency, but for some reason, I always feel this loneliness. Although I understand everything perfectly.
From Chimura Shifumi's Twitter.

In the meantime, I’d like to fulfill another promise I made earlier: below, you can find an almost complete translation of the futatsuna livestream that was dedicated to the release of their first digital single, "reimei." The group introduces Tsuzura to the wider public for the first time and talks about the reason for the release delay, how the recording process went, and how working on the song affected each of the members. The girls even give a master class on how to dance to "reimei," and in this video, you can also find a translation of its lyrics (If you didn’t understand anything, don’t worry—I didn’t either). The stream also touches on the reasons behind departures of Zagi and another original member, but what really shines in this stream is the excellent demonstration of the chemistry between the members, their interesting reflections on their interactions during concerts, and the opportunity to get to know this extremely diverse group of outsiders (as they call themselves) and dive into the hilarious chaos that permeates the group’s everyday life.

For those who have already watched the video and are wondering if Tsuzura turned out to be an onigiri or not, this picture speaks for itself.

Here are some facts about Tsukumo from the recent livestream dedicated to her birthday:

Favorite food: Malatang.
Hobbies: Horror movies (constantly searching for something scarier than anything she’s seen before) and other works with extreme scenes, as well as anime.
Where she'd like to visit: Shirakawa-go (the village that inspired the setting of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni).
Special skill: "Creation of lives."
What she collects: Adventure Time merchandise.
What she wanted to be as a child: A police officer.
Funny incident that happened recently: Chimura's face when she wasn’t noticed, and the door was closed right in front of her.
Childhood incident: She kicked the wall in the school hall, imitating a superkick from the Japanese TV show Kamen Rider, leaving a dent. When the adults saw it, she blamed a boy (who was doing the same thing and thought it was his fault). She also practiced this in other public buildings, for which she often got in trouble.
A quality that hasn’t changed since childhood: Stubbornness.
Sport she’d like to try: Bouldering.
Current goal: To go on tour with futatsuna.
What she studied: Amateur baseball, soroban (Japanese abacus), ballet, Shinken Zemi (a Japanese online tutoring and self-study system where students can learn various subjects, take tests, and receive personalized feedback from teachers), and some martial art whose name Romi can't remember.

Tsukumo, happy birthday!
You’re always so determined and take your work incredibly seriously.
When I’m with you, I can feel so clearly how much you love concerts with all your heart. I’m very glad to be involved in music activities with you.

If you weren’t around, I would have probably given up long ago.
I’m sorry for being such a useless leader.
Thank you for everything. I’m glad you’re with me.
From Chimura Shifumi's Twitter.

I’ve had joyful, fun, and happy birthdays before, but this is the first time my heart has been so overwhelmed with warm emotions.
I’m glad I didn’t give up and end my life.
This is the first time I’ve smiled so happily on my birthday.

I love your choice of words, Chimutarou.
You’ve saved me so many times... Words aren’t enough to express it, but you are my super leader, and I’m proud of you.
Thank you *smile* *smile* *smile*
What a wonderful day.
From Tsukumo "St. Lightning Beast" Romi's Twitter.

During the stream, there was also an opportunity to purchase merchandise that she made herself. As you can see, Romi not only shines with her drawing skills but also with her ability to create figurines (apparently, this is the "creation of lives" she mentioned):

On August 19, at the finale of their mini-tour dedicated to the release of the single "GENESIS," Not Secured, Loose Ends announced their second single, titled "VanilLament," which is set to be released on October 9.

Along with this, it was revealed that the release of the second part of the Yukueshirezutsurezure old hits reimagining album, "OUROARBOROSⅡ," which was scheduled for September 4, has been postponed indefinitely. The upcoming tour in support of the album has also changed its concept and will now be titled the "'I' YUE NO NAGEKI TOUR" ("'I'故のNAGEKI TOUR").

Unfortunately, Yuzuriha Ouhi suffered an injury at one of the recent performances.

Due to a possible ligament injury in her left knee during the recent concert and after consulting with a doctor, Yuzuriha Ouhi will be participating in concerts and cheki sessions exclusively in a seated position for the time being. We will do our utmost to support her, considering her own wishes. We also appreciate your cooperation. Thank you for understanding.
Official statement.

I feel absolutely fine!
I want to continue performing, so please let me join the others🥀I’ll convey all my feelings to you~🦇
From Yuzuriha Ouhi's Twitter.

The fact that Ouhi-san is unwavering in her desire to perform on stage no matter what happens is truly admirable❕ Emotionally, nothing changes, this is our usual Ouhi-san. At times like this, we especially need to unite and do our best~~ ᜊ ₍ˆ. .ˆ₎ ᜊ
From Mary Lust's Twitter.

I think if we don’t tie Ouhi-san to a chair, she’ll just get up in the end.
Ouhi-san, you’re amazing! Your desire to keep performing and have fun with everyone is so like you, and I love it.

GESSHIRUI, as promised, is actively publishing articles on his blog where the lyricist goes into detail about the behind-the-scenes aspects of the releases, shares interesting and unique information about the members, and delves into the inner workings of the company. A considerable number of articles have already been published, but one article in particular stands out:
"Even though I don’t want to hurt anyone, I want to protect the leaders."

Attention: The information in the paid section of this post may not be the most pleasant for you. In it, I actively express my personal position, so even if you claim to love codomomental INC, please only read it if you are confident that you can adequately process this information. I ask everyone else to stop at the free section. Please, do not purchase this article out of mere curiosity.

Recently, I, GESSHIRUI, have been writing articles here on this platform. Usually, I use my free time to update the page and write articles for future publications, but today I decided to try dedicating time specifically for this post.

Today, I want to talk about the leaders of the girl groups of codomomental INC.

Before this, I decided for myself that I would write about songs, thought about which one exactly I should write about next, torn between options, distracted by other tasks... But this time, I decided to write about the leaders because being a leader is not an easy task. My words may not fully convey this, but in reality, I truly, from the bottom of my heart, believe that it is one of the most important and difficult roles. Currently, there are six groups in codomomental INC: Zenbu Kimi no Sei da, Seireki13ya, TOKYO TEFUTEFU, Not Secured, Loose Ends, futatsuna, and USOTSUKINAISHO. KAQRIYOTERROR is currently on hiatus, and it was also recently announced that Hashibata Kanari will be producing a new group within the company, which will be called USHIMITSU. I hope that by the end of this year, there will be some progress with KAQRIYOTERROR because creating something for KAQRIYOTERROR is always a lot of fun. Not to belittle the other groups, but for KAQRIYOTERROR, I can create something without bearing any burden.

Since we currently have 6 groups, we correspondingly have 6 leaders. Although there will be many photos, I would like to introduce them all in detail:

Tademaru Ichiren (USOTSUKINAISHO)

Note: I am writing this article because I want to praise Tademaru Ichiren (this is half-joking, half-serious).

These six individuals are currently the leaders of their respective groups. We even have a group chat in LINE where the leaders discuss various work issues. The content of this chat is very amusing: they usually ask the director to buy something (like office supplies or things necessary for creating pre-order bonuses, so there's nothing surprising about that). And during major events, when all the groups come together, it’s the leaders who play a key role in organizing and conducting the events. codomomental is a place where each group has its own financial independence, so leaders must think about and implement different things not only in terms of singing and dancing but also in many other areas. I’m straying from the topic, but Mary Lust and Kagari Kohaku Sekai from TOKYO TEFUTEFU work almost as leaders.

Surprisingly, it seems that being a leader these days has become unprofitable. Or maybe it always was. It just became more obvious now. Perhaps manga and anime also played no small role in this. What I often hear at auditions is: "Even if it doesn’t necessarily mean being a leader, I don’t want to be in the center, I want to be somewhere on the side and be mature/mysterious/pale/cute." Almost everyone says something like that. And, so to speak, I perfectly understand why they say that. Being a leader is really unprofitable. If something goes wrong, insensitive people who know nothing immediately blame the leader. I’ve seen more than once how even the members themselves, without thinking about how the leader feels, trample on their feelings. Leaders cannot afford to think only about themselves because they are responsible for the whole group, and that’s why, to those who are not burdened with such responsibility, they may seem "annoying." Essentially, the leader must coordinate everyone’s work, and therefore often has to interfere in the work of each member, down to the smallest details.

I want to note that there are no strict rules in codomomental regarding what a leader should be like. The distinguishing characteristics of a group only become clear after some time has passed, and most importantly, they change depending on the current members. Even if the same person continues to be the leader, that person will change depending on the current members. No one remains unchanged. Additionally, each leader definitely has their strengths and weaknesses, but overall, we believe that everyone should use their personal qualities to fulfill this role. The following will touch on sensitive issues, so please read only if you truly want to. I warn you, there may be some unpleasant moments.

I'm really grateful ߹ ߹✨
Sometimes I still wonder if I truly deserve the role of leader. But I’m going to work harder and harder on USOTSUKINAISHO, and I have many dreams I want to achieve.
No matter what happens, I’ll keep singing here 🔥
