WACK SELECT 7 x YUKI KASHIWAGI (issue 17th of Young Jump)

can't ignore the fact that WACK7 are basically GANG PARADE but with Chitti and Atsuko

and Yuki Kashiwagi appears here under her WACK name "Yuki Reysole"


if i find the photoshoot i'm going to post it (i don't think it's on sale yet) anyway i think we may see their debut in May or maybe June

they unveiled the new group "SPY", their debut single is called "Anata o neraiuchi ♡"

not only Yuki Kashiwagi is going to produce the group but she is also going to join as the 8th member under the alias "Yuki Reysole"

the group was formed in December of last year via the Senbatsu-style election "VOTE WACK SELECT 7"



they are going to debut in June 1st, their debut single is also going to include a cover of AKB48's "Oogoe Diamond"

the members are:

during the "VOTE! WACK SELECT 7" they also announced the debut of a secondary group composed of members that failed to rank within the top 20, initially they were announced as "shitty unit" but today they were unveiled as "iNNOCENT ASS", their debut "EVERYONE is GOOD and BAD" is going to be included as a bonus song in SPY's debut single

the members are:

#33 Namaenai - ASP

This SPY group is so bizarre. I get that it was done via fan vote, but wasn't the whole collab project with Yuki meant to promote WACK as a whole? Why wouldn't they just have fans vote for one member from each group and then do a super group with Yuki instead of Gang Parade + Chitti and Hashi? It's a no brainer to do it the other way. At least they're doing a runner up group, but only three members is weak.

that was the main complaint about the whole thing (although instead of GANG PARADE people thought it was going to be BiSH + someone else)

i don't get why doing things this way especially since Watanabe decided to mess with the election anyway

a few hours before the voting closed Watanabe bought 10,000 copies of the singles and gave the votes to Dockson (who was ranking below the top 20)



something ironic is that the group is called SPY yet Aika the Spy who was ranking 7 ended getting pushed outside the group

It's a no brainer to do it the other way. At least they're doing a runner up group, but only three members is weak.

i think that's Watanabe throwing a bone to people that was disappointed with the final results, if i recall they were selected randomly, they aren't even going to get their own release but instead they are just a bonus in SPY's debut so i'm not surprised WACK isn't putting too much effort into them

i think i forgot to post the WACK 7 concert / election, im going to check if is still up

the audition camp ends tomorrow and i believe the WACK exhibition and company announcements are going to be done tomorrow too

it's going to be BiSH's final exhibition!

we may get to see the members of WACK's first boy group appear, Watanabe says he plans to hold a 2nd audition for more members

i don't expect much when it comes to adding members to groups, in case that happens let's hope some WAgg members get promoted

i'm not sure about adding so many people to GANG PARADE, i feel the more members they add the bigger the chances of them splitting into two groups

ASP are 7 now, i feel that 6 is the perfect size for a WACK group, i think i would had added a member to BiS so both groups were 6/6, btw Ayuna C is a former member of HKT48 and ended in ASP, 2 totally different groups, i want to see more of her, seems she has a lot of experience

and finally the WAgg members are getting some love (unfortunately it wasn't LOVE) in any case i'm happy for Ainastar, she was one of the top 2 trainees in the PARADISES audition but got robbed by Watanabe, in some way this is even better than joining PARADISES

The only reason I can think of to put so many Gang Parade members in SPY is to raise the group's profile since BiSH is disbanding. Without his money maker, Watanabe needs another big group, but I doubt GP will ever get to BiSH's level.

I also thought it was ironic that Aika the Spy didn't make it into the group, lol. She needs to get revenge on Watanabe.

Seriously, is Dockson one of Watanabe's secret girlfriends? She's clearly one of his favorites, but this is taking it too far.

Thank heaven for an uneventful training camp and exhibition. Hanae seemed nervous about having to participate, but I felt she was safe due to Mameshiba being on Avex. You never can tell with these events, but I'm still relieved.

With so many members in Gang Parade, sub units are a must. It will be a great way to showcase newer members and increase their fanbase more quickly.

Didn't ASP just debut last year? Ballooning to 7 members in such a short time is a bit much. I'm still not over Naayu leaving so suddenly and the group becoming 5. I'm not even sure what they're about anymore.

Another year and Yuina Empire is still in WAgg. At this rate, the poor girl is never going to get promoted.

Today is April's fools, i know Watanabe / WACK has done some "pranks" in the past but i don't know if they have anything planned for this one

also i forgot to post this but the reason why Canon, Namaenai and Mog Ryan were missing from the exhibition pictures is because they tested positive for Covid, lately many groups have been getting infected all around the Japanese music scene, iirc the first people in WACK to get infected were BiSH last year, around the time they released GOiNG TO DESTRUCTiON (they had to cancel all promotional eventts)

TOGGY didn't attend but in her case is because she is on hiatus duo to a stress fracture, she did post a tweet during the audition

The only reason I can think of to put so many Gang Parade members in SPY is to raise the group's profile since BiSH is disbanding. Without his money maker, Watanabe needs another big group, but I doubt GP will ever get to BiSH's level.

i do think it's weird how the group ended being made out almost completely of GP members, although Usagi Tsukino (who is the real #1) has been getting pretty popular lately and Miki (real #2) has consistently gotten ranked among the top members of WACK, so maybe it's not that strange, also is worth mention that at the time of the vote they still were PARADISES / GO TO THE BEDS, it wasn't until a week later that they became GANG PARADE

but yeah GP has 0% of getting to BiSH's level, they do have the 2nd largest fandom but they have trouble getting the attention of the general public, i think EMPiRE and MAMESHiBA have a better chance of becoming a mainstream act

naming the group SPY knowing that is her surname... that's just rubbing salt on the wound, unfortunately there is nothing she can do about it, sucks for everyone how he had to mess up with the audition, specially for Usagi who worked hard for her #1 yet got robbed but at the very least she got a reward

thse days i can't keep track of Watanabe's waifus so i don't recall if Dockson is one of them but i know he has a soft spot for her, i recall in one of the videos with YK he was discussing the members and he was praising her, probably he had plans for her since then

Hanae legitimately likes being an idol and a member of MAMESHiBA but from watching the videos from their youtube i have the impression that she is uncomfortable with being put on the spotlight, i think she is a little shy / introvert

i wouldn't be surprised if they bring back PARADISES and GO TO THE BEDS, i wouldn't mind if they came back as sub units

Yuina should quit, sounds harsh but she is wasting her time in WAgg, she is 25 years old this year and is still a trainee despite already having being part of 5 full fledged groups, i believe she debuted in her first group when she was 18, all the other ex BiS members that decided to pursue a career outside WACK are doing fine these days, MEW in MEME TOKYO, Pan in HO6LA, Hana in ARCANA PROJECT, also Aya, Muropanako and Ubu's solo projects, etc, there is a life outside WACK and is clear Watanabe doesn't have plans for her, i actually believe he is just trying to shake her out of the company, is just sad
