BiSH's announced their final release (this time for real)
on June 28 the group is going to release a compilation album "BEST ALBUM「BiSH THE BEST」"
back in July of 2020 BiSH released a compilation album "FOR LiVE -BiSH BEST" although that one was sold in CD stores exclusively and only got a limited print (50,000 copies or so), all the money from that one was donated to music shops and venues that were struggling due to Covid
but a lot of people wasn't able to get a copy themselves because of the limited print so is nice they are releasing another one
back to the new one, is going to be release in four versions
Box Set version that contains 9 CDs, 3 Blu Ray + 150p Photobook
Blu Ray version that contains 2 CDs, 1 Blu Ray + 32p Photobook
DVD version that contains 2 CDs + 1 DVD
CD version that contains 2 CDs
of course the Box set is the most complete (also the most expensive, around $400!) unfortunately seems that the CD version has less songs than the Blu Ray and DVD versions despite that all the three come with two CDs
in any case they re recorded new versions of these songs

he says that because they use expensive materials and have to rent a studio they can't turn a profit from just the costumes so he also has to do the design and photography work, he has gotten requests from other companies / groups to make uniforms for them but he keeps refusing because he only wants to work with WACK, he says his dream is to keep making uniforms until the day he dies even if he ends in the red because of it
being honest you shouldn't be super loyal to a company because at the end of the day companies are all about money but i can respect the loyalty he has for WACK, there is literally nothing stopping him from using the popularity of his work to expand his business, work with other groups, etc
hopefully if things were to go badly for him in the future Watanabe remembers that and takes care of him
the issue with costume production is that you need to keep pumping uniforms every other week otherwise you are never going to turn a profit from just working every few months, going a little off topic but actually most of the uniforms in the idol industry (at least for the newer or less known groups) is done by a single company
"Fille lilas" the small company behind almost all costumes / uniforms in Jpop
while big companies, going from DH (AKB48) to WACK or even Dearstage, have in-house designers to produce costumes for the members of their groups the reality is that smaller companies and independent artists don't have the funds to hire talent full time to produce outfits just for them the...

May is going be a busy month for WACK, just from concerts alone there are some big things coming up
next week is going to be ExWHYZ's Budokan concert
the next day BiS are going to hold their first concert with the updated line up
and later that week is going to be GANG PARADE's "CROSSROADS OF FATE" which is being hyped to be a turning point for the group

putting aside the need of the GANG PARADE members to overshare
their new album "OUR PARADE" debuted at #1 in the Oricon daily album chart
"Priority" sold 80k during it's first week but that was a single and since this one is an album and thus more expensive the numbers are going to be lower, i forgot to take a screen capture but "OUR PARADE" sold around 20k+ first day so it should do around 30k first week or so
also they confirmed more concerts for July, whatever happens next week during their "CROSSROAD OF FATE" at the very least the group is still going to be around by then
oh and they also already unveiled the GP plastic models that come with the issue of Gekkan WACK
i legitimately don't understand which is supposed to the theme of these ones
in any case since BiSH and GP already got theirs i hope that means that ExWHYZ are next

these are the trainees, among them are the people who are going to become BiSH's successor group
i find it interesting that there is a possibility for the group to become a coed group although that is very unlikely, Watanabe already said that he doesn't want male and female members of WACK being in contact with each other
also i feel that since the members are going to be picked by BiSH they are likely to "project" themselves into the female trainees and so they are probably going to want to pick them over the guys but who knows
i don't pay for Hulu but i would consider doing so for the show although i'm not sure if is available outside Hulu Japan, i haven't seen anyone outside Japanese fans commenting about it so dunno, in any case the announcement of the group is probably going to be during BiSH's final concert next month

WACK's first boy group "BOYSGROUP" announced their disbandment, their final performance is going to be on May 14, they posted an statement but it doesn't says much just that the members decided that it would be for the best to disband the group
they debuted in January of this year so roughly 5 months? by far the shortest lived WACK group ever, i haven't been following them so i'm not sure what happened but they just released a new single earlier this week
was this expected? maybe, there were just too many things against them that i honestly couldn't imagine how they would ever succeed, for starters unlike the main branch of WACK that is based in Tokyo the boy group was active only active in Osaka which has a much smaller musical and entertainment scene
also their music, not exactly because it was bad and being honest i know it probably wasn't aimed me but i still don't feel their concept was something that anyone would see and think that it was something that only WACK could do, if i wasn't told they were also under WACK i would had never realized on my own, i guess the same could be said about TONAi BOUSHO although in their case they are being promoted as MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN's rival group so they get a pass

on May 19th Now is going to release her first photobook "Yamitsuki Girl"
so the reason why only her is getting a photobook is because this is a project in collaboration with the magazine "B.L.T.", last year Now started a monthly serialization there, the photobook is going to be a compilation of the 12 issues released by Now along new content
according to the release statement they say that the structure of the photobook imitates that of a music album, with each chapter being named like a song title, the material was recorded last year in Kanazawa, Kakeromajima, Kyoto, and Yamagata and other than pictures is also going to include poems and unreleased content that didn't make it to the magazine along interviews with her
the limited edition is going to be available for purchase during their Budokan concert and the normal edition goes on sale on May 19, two days later on the 21th Now is going to hold a release event in a bookstore

according to Ototoy the attendance was over 7,000+ people, for comparison EMPiRE's largest concert [EMPiRE’S SUPER ULTRA SPECTACULAR SHOW] attendance was around 6,000 to 7,000 people, so not only it matched the later but did even better, 7k is a lot of people but not too far from 10k so hopefully in the future they get the chance to play in front of 10,000 fans
fans are still uploading pictures from the concert, there are already tons of good ones on the tags for the members but i'm waiting for even more to be posted, seems it was really good maybe their best concert yet
they posted a playlist with the set list of the concert, nice mix between their two albums and they also played a cover of EMPiRE's MAD LOVE
unsurprisingly they were quick to also announce their next tour "‘eLATION’", it has the tag "part.1：Live House Series" so maybe there is going to be a part two
