Looks like PARADISES will be the first WACK group to do a christmas song
there are 2 missions
1st is by pair and 2nd is by group
1st is performing the two new songs 愛してよね井口イチロウ and 茶碗蒸しだ! and will be be announced at a later date
The 2nd mission is by group, the groups are:
Tsukino team: Tsukino, Kira May, Anzu and Love
Naruha team: Naruha, Yuyu, Uta, Saya

the songs that will be performed are
1. PLEASE LISTEN TO MY
2. The new Special Xmas song that will be on the ep on 12/23
3. Tsukino team: TWINKLE TWINKLE
Naruha team: Aoi Haru
finally a Christmas song :christmasblob:

i wonder why they didn't delay the release of the single to include this? it would have been a really good buy

Ugh, it's been just a little over a year since their first digital single "Den Den Passion" and they've already lost a member 😭 Pero wasn't a big deal since she was a support member, but I always considered Asuka as the #2 in the group after Mew. I just hope no one else leaves until at least 2022.
she is/was my 2nd favorite MM member (< profile picture is her) definitely sucks, at least she is going to keep promoting with meme tokyo
for a few more weeks and seems she is still part of Dearstage

is really hard to find info about the members (other than Mewclub),
for what i know Asuka also works in one of the music/restaurant clubs managed by Dearstage

her oldest/first appearance i could find is from 2017, already working for them (and before becoming a goth)

i'm sure she is going to end joining another group

I'm sure we're definitely getting some dark, twisted concept for the alternate costumes. We've only seen a teaser so far for the song and MV, so it's possible they shift between cute and twisted in the same video.

And WACK is starting to torture me with these posters. I'm pretty sure you have to go to a physical store to get them 😭
Same! I like that they've been putting more stuff online this year, but all the Tower Records exclusive items are so limited and so hard to ship out of Japan. Doesn't help that the middleman oversea shipment company for Tower Records charge super high for the fees.

did they do the pyramid? that's their best stunt

and i noticed the uniforms have "Sex" "Fuck" etc, etc in the back, even if they are just for one show that's a nice detail
Yep! The pyramid is part of the choreography of STUPiD and it's basically a signature for every one of their live performances now.

Ah yeahh, the effort Sotobayashi puts for small details be it for a single show or long term is insane in all his costumes (well, 90% of his costumes I'd say hahah).

festivals would be nice, i think summer sonic would be a decent goal, pretty famous internationally plus BiSH already guested

i should start researching which are the largest venues played by wack groups, i'm out the loop
Yeah I wonder about that too.

I only know of a couple of one-man venues, and that the largest crowd for one-man performances is BiSH in Yokohama Arena (even when it wasn't a sold out seating show).
BiS2's largest was in Ryogoku Sumo Hall for Pour Lui's graduation (fun fact, this was the same venue an OG BiS member, Yurika, graduated in. The performance had the same title too "WHO KILLED IDOL?") and the rental trade ending, which I wished it was put into a DVD or something at least :/

Bonus GIF! I love that "HiDE iN SEW" has a choreo reference to a part of "hide out cut" 😭

bruh she looks so different
kinda weird seeing idols when they still were civilians :doge:

(also the fact that she was a teenager then vs an adult now)

the first time i saw the members of MM i thought that her piercings were probably part of the costume but they ended being the real deal,
Dearstage even had to ask her to take off most of them because... well i still don't know why, isn't Meme tokyo's concept to be weird and different?

seems they couldn't handle the goth queen :fab:

definitely another underrated name, sometimes i still forget how the same person is in charge of their (and everyone's) costumes
seriously what's with people called Kenta and why are they hogging all the talent? :omgwhat:

I think the largest so far is Yokohama arena?
you both are right that the Yokohama is their largest venue yet (17k)

but for some reason only 12k seats were available at the time

the Osaka Jo hall is their 2nd largest venue (16k) but they again "only" sold 12,000 tickets

so i guess it would be:

largest venue sold = Yokohama arena
largest concert sold = Tie with Osaka hall

oh, but Ayuni sold out the Budokan (14k, still not sure if at full capacity or just half)
in that case the Budokan would be their 3rd largest venue while also being their largest concert :doge:

Reckon it has to do with the stage set up for both Yokohama Arena and Osaka-jo, since I assume the 17K and 16K capacity includes the seats behind the stage. Plus, an average stage setup for stadiums usually takes up like 1/4 of the venue so that kinda checks out with their sold out capacity.

Actually worried about the cancellation of this (and any tours next year, again) because of the new strain of COVID. Here's hoping that it doesn't drag onto February

oh she did? well that impressive, I dont really follow her PEDRO stuff so I didn't know.
and I dont really know why but as time went by ive just been kinda losing interest in Ayuni and idk why, because my likeness for the other girls stayed the same, but I still like Ayuni tho but not as much as before when she first joined

Can someone explain this to me please
some contest to win cheekis, i think the rules are
  • buy their Christmas EP from LINE
  • follow the PARADISES account in twitter
  • make sure your twitter account is set to accept DMs
  • on LINE stream their Christmas song 888 or 2020 times
  • take a screen shot from your line account showing your handle and number of streams on this song
  • tweet the picture to the special hashtag plus the name of the PARADISES / WAgg member who's cheeki you want
there are more details but that's the gist of it

prizes

888 streams: a digitally signed cheeki is going to be send to you by DM
2020 streams: you get a digitally signed bundle of cheekis by DM
i guess the contest is nice but streaming a song 888 or 2020 times in just a few weeks sounds hard

i think that Paradises and GTTB are also a collaboration with Warner, at the very least i think they played a part in GP disbanding

the Panda stuff was so random, already a month and still no news about it

Since they're on the same label, it would be cool if the two groups were able to collaborate once in a while.

I think I cracked the Panda code. I found a tweet the other day. This is a restaurant in Munich. It's shut down because of Covid so they decided to use Pandas as patrons to have some fun.

And then there's the PANDA bakery in Belgium.

This is deeper than I thought! Food tie-in confirmed!!!

i wonder how many people follows Mameshiba because they think they are Youtubers

if Avex want to get the children on board they should simply get them the OP or ED for an Anime

both BiSH and EMPiRE got a big boost after working in "Black Cover"

I've been watching some of Niji no Conquistador's recent YouTube videos and I think they're a good comparison for Mameshiba. NijiCon are the more established group, but their YouTube views are nowhere near what Mameshiba get on a regular basis. Even if album/single sales are inconsistent, their YouTube show will always come through.

I expect Mameshiba will eventually do the OP for an Anime. Being on Avex, it's almost guaranteed.

>not wanting to get bullied by Mameshiba

you are missing out :fab:

With all that leather, they'll get all sweaty and tired too fast. I want my bullies to have stamina, lol.

Same! I like that they've been putting more stuff online this year, but all the Tower Records exclusive items are so limited and so hard to ship out of Japan. Doesn't help that the middleman oversea shipment company for Tower Records charge super high for the fees.

What sucks about shipping internationally is that they usually double the cost of the item. At least that's how Amazon Japan does it. They don't even give you a break if you order multiple items. Shipping just keeps increasing! I'm starting to experiment with a forwarding service to see how the shipping adds up. It's not something I normally do, but there are some items I really want.

Excessive piercings are still pretty taboo for Idols and facial piercings are a definite no, no.
